That's the spirit! ;D I know you were too shy last time..I'm sure we can think up some great excuse to get you talking to him this time. Nope, I won't be going Too far away, and I still haven't found a new job so even though I have enough money sitting there now..I just can't justify it. I already used my animals emergency vet fund for MXCNZ..I have to restrain myself! But damn, it's tempting. I'll just have to live vicariously through all of you gals [/IMG] Oh, and if you do wrestle him? There will be blood if somebody doesn't get a pic of that moment! ;D

Hopefully I can contain myself and act civilized enough to ASK for a pic! Sad to hear you won't be there, but hope to meet you at another gathering in the very near future...

Hi everyone, As usual I am still sneaking in occasionally to see what's happening with my all-time favorite singer and band. I'm so excited for all of you that get to have an entire Lovehammers weekend, and I'm really happy to see some tour dates....they just need to get closer to where I live (St. Louis). Work is very very busy and I'm not going to be getting too far away this summer. Can't wait for the new CD to be released. I know Lovehammers will put on the absolute best show ever...they get better every time they play...take lots of pictures and please share lots of memories so that I can live vicariously through the best fans in the world Have fun, but stay sober enough to remember the details

Mother Nature provided some fireworks in the wee hours of the morning, when a big, booming thunderstorm rolled through downtown Chicago. It was quite a sight to see it from the 15th floor! I hope that will cool things down a bit. Off to get ready for the day.

The storms have continued to roll through during the morning, and I just heard on the news that the flight delay at O'Hare is 4 hours. I hope everyone gets in and to the show OK!

They must have since no one has logged in anywhere with reviews. They must be all off a fun night getting ready for more festivities today. C'mon people - inquiring minds want to know how the new CD is going to sound!

Hi! They played a pretty long set with quite a bit of new material. Marty said they were trying to do at least one song from each album they've released. This is not the order in which they were played, but this is most of them. I think I might be missing one or two: Guns The Tunnel Eyes Can't See Clinic Hunt Real Man Straight As An Arrow Hold On Trees This Town Let's Get Wasted (with Tricky interlude) Call of Distress Baba O'Reilly Find Your Way (new) Your Time, My Time (new) Black Angel (new) Oh My Baby (new) Heavy Crown (new) It was very cool to hear so much material from the new album! I enjoyed all of them. When introducing it, Marty said that Bob wrote Find Your Way. Heavy Crown turned out to sort of a ballad. Marty started off playing it acoustically by himself and then the rest of the band joined in. He said it's about his aunt Margaret who died not long ago. He said she was trying to hang on for the people around her and said some lovely things to Marty's dad shortly before she passed because she was still looking out for others despite what she was going through. That was a very touching intro to the song. Black Angel and Oh My Baby are darker and more brooding. I especially liked Black Angel. Find Your Way and Your Time, My Time were more upbeat, motivational kinds of songs. There seemed to be lots of family of the band there for the show. A very good crowd. Marty mentioned the band's friend (and "second mom") Paula and the band's childhood friend Craig Rife, and said they were dedicating their new album to both of their memories. Great show! Again, I'm just so happy they did so much new material. Can't wait to get my hands on the album!

Thanks Leslie for updating us so quickly. Sounds like it was a great show and sentimental at times. I may have needed a kleenex or two!! Can't wait for the new CD to be released. Hope it's soon. Everyone must be having a really good time, wish I was there instead of here at work.
