Aussie Fans Thread # 4

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd drop by to give you all a Marty (foal) update. It is hard to believe he is now 3 months old and growing into a very fine young colt. Just look at him in the photos and see his growth rate next to his mum (Cat). He is now wearing a headcollar and learning each day about manners which he will need for his first show at the end of April. He is extremely smart and well behaved for a colt which I am really happy about as starting his training while I am still on crutches isn't easy.
In 8 weeks time he will be taken away from his mum and then the training will start big time, I am really looking forward to this and can't wait til end of February.

It is official I have named him GLENENE CLARITY, his first lot of registration papers have been sent off and his other 4 registrations are underway (geez I hate paperwork!)

I will pm Marty and let him know which name I chose and send him some updated photos of his namesake. I am gonna hopefully get a rug made for Marty (foal) in time for his shows just like Glenene Epic had one. Gotta street team whenever I can, right

Me again everyone,

Just wanted to get a feel from everyone if they had any objections to our AUSSIE thread being moved to the Fangirls topic.

None of us here are no longer Newbies and I would like to start a few sub threads if Amy and Cindy allow it. Especially one named Coincidences Australia- Marty related.

Let me know your thoughts before I approach a MOD with this suggestion.

Trees just have to mention what a fabbo job you did with decorating on the last page Thanks mate!!

Great idea you have for moving on to a new location. You are far from being Newbies now ;D A suggestion would be when you move, put a link to where the location is.... So then when a Newbie Aussie or Kiwi sees the old site they can click the link and feel right at home

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Helen....Little Marty is as cute as ever. What fantastic pics. I miss being able to give Little Marty a pat and have Cat looking at me out of the corner of her eye to make sure I am being good to her little boy. No wonder you are so proud of them.

Wherever the thread goes, I will go. Does that mean we have to behave ourselves?........I forgot you said "Fan Girl" section...silly me. ;D Would we get another sticky so we don't get lost? I don't think we could have sub-threads in the LH fan girl section would we? It would be a thread, not a sub-thread. Anyway, just let me know where we need to show up and I'm there.

HeyTrees....very cool Avi. My New Years was spent with family. Son Jeremy, daughter-in-law Amy and Grandson Jack helped me decorate the Christmas tree. We had Christmas music blaring away....a little Christmas All Year Long theme going. Jack hid the Christmas Pickle ornament for when my Granddaughter Maddie and daughter Adrienne come up MLK weekend. We are celebrating Christmas Jan 13. My daughter lives in Florida and is in retail so she can't make it up to Indiana until after Christmas shopping/returning is over. It is kind of nice to be able to Christmas shop when the stores aren't so craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy. It had to be kind of surreal for Jeremy and his family after they helped decorate the Christmas tree to go over that evening to Amy's parents home to bring in the New Year with some corned beef and cabbage. A little time warp ....sort of like New Years Eve when jet, ing and I were pming each other. They were already into 2007 and I was still in 2006..... .
Isn't life.....uh...interesting?

Den, a delayed holiday is perfect idea --it means you can take advantage of the sales! Big hugs and kisses to you and yours!

Now about moving, well, of course it's fine, but I am little brokenhearted. After all, I am not a mod of the fangirl section, but I am of Newbies --and mostly because you all were here! That being said, we definitely need to keep a sticky here in Newbies so that new Aus, Kiwi fans can find the bar down under. I told myself I wouldn't cry!!!!

Thanks Den and Trees - good to be back. New Year's Resolution - give up smoking (still trying) and to pop in here more often.

Out of practise on the old HH - nearly had a heart attack and dizzy spell having a go with you two ladies.....sheesh am I outta puff or what. Gotta give up those fags soonest.

Love the pics - especially Marty with the poochwah...bloody cute....and as for the pic of him sleeping....what can I say - massive thud!!

Still bloody hot here.....sweat pouring off me....I can think of a better way to work up a sweat....hand me the towels ladies!!

Oh Helen please be careful sweetie I'm at the point of tears right now for the thought of all of you all having to deal with this.

Trees, Lizzie, Den - I just love the HH pic...it reminds me so much of when I was young, callouses on my hands from holding on tight while my brother swung me around and mum yelling out " What do you think it is...a bloody toy?" Well dah mum...yeah. I remember leaving my sister strapped to line with belts and swinging her around then leaving her there while I went off with my mates!!

Trees - I will have to check the news out. I know the fires were bad while we were in Melbourne for HJII, but then it rained and I thought everything was OK. It has been raining and cold here in sub-tropical northern NSW but I do recall my DH saying his mate in Melbourne sayig how hot its been the past few days. I really should keep up with whats going on.

Den - this pic reminded me of your grandson and his invisible ink pens. Bran and Andrew left notes for each other all over the house in the week leading up to Christmas. I would be in bed at night and I could see the blue light shining in the other room...gotta love em!
