Thanks for the warm welcome from all. I can't wait for HammerJam. I'm looking forward to Canal room, too, but Hammerjam is going to be awesome. my hubbie and I are arriving in Chicago on the Thurs Oct. 12th and leaving on15th. We're making it an anniversary present to ourselves (12 years), seeing as we both love Chi-town but have never been there together. Any ideas of what we should do in a short time (besides Hammerjam!) would be appreciated. Last time I was there, I went with a coworker to Dicks Last Resort and, well, lets just say we didn't feel well on the plane ride home. Oh, we are staying at the City Suites on West Belmont and would love to NOT rent a car. Thanks!

We're going to take in a Wicked show. That might be something great for you & hubby! Thanks for the warm welcome from all. I can't wait for HammerJam. Hammerjam will be the first visit to Chicago and live LH concert for my Wife and I...........and we are also treating ourselves to this as an anniversary gift (13 years in October)..........I'm hoping I can get her backstage to the soundcheck as a sort of anniversary gift for my GirlgoneWild..........IF they like my version of Trees....... That would be an awesome gift. Good luck! Our anniversary is in September and this will the the first extended trip away from our daughter -- other than an overnight here or there -- since she was born (6 years ago)

Been here for a couple weeks, but I've already had the pleasure of meeting some of you wild women @ the PW (Penny, SHR, Angie, Redgt, JS, dreaming1) (I'm sure I'm missing someone) Everyone has already been so nice to me! This trip will be four days away from the kids for us..........the longest we've been away from them in over 10 years.......we expect to have a great time but we will miss them....... _________________________________________________ Instead of copying and pasting text into a reply........hit the 'quote' button on the top right of the post you want to quote and it will automatically quote the text for you.........but please do not qoute photos as this eats up a lot of space on the board........ If I do quote text containing a photo I just delete the photo......and keep the text.........to do this you delete the image ![]() ......photo link.......[/img] line.........  oh my, I guess I shouldn't let you guys know how much I travel. My husband and I do try to coordinate things so one of is around, but it doesn't always work out that way. Suffice to say, kids are much more resilient than people give them credit for. Don't spend your whole away time worrying! I'm pretty sure my kids spend their away time from me celebrating! (do you think it's too awful to install surveylance cameras? )
