I read from a link someone posted in the rockstar boards..that Brian May of Queen...in his blog..wrote

Okay... this is UNOFFICIAL... but I heard it on the radio. They got it from SOMEWHERE, but they were careful to say it wasn't for sure.
I heard that the new RockStar is going to be Stone Temple Pilots. The lead singer went to Velvet Revolver.
If it's true, what do you think??

But seriously, anyone remember this boy band? I remember seeing them sing on Saturday mornings between cartoons.....(those great 80's cartoons like the Smurfs and Snorks). I wasn't really a fan, but I'd sit through anything to see my cartoons.
Well I just came across this and wondered if the success of Rock Star might have a hand in this (everyone is jumping on the bandwagon I guess):

Queen!!!?? It would be nigh impossible to replace Freddie Mercury....... How about RockStar: The Archies? It is totally impossible to replace Freddie Mercury - cannot be done and hope nobody tries!!! Stilletto & Bobswife..where have you been? I hate to be the barer of bad news but Queen has been touring with Paul Rogers (formerly of Free & Bad Company) for months now. I don't commend it. I like Paul Rogers...but not with Queen. I still think when these mega bands loose their key player they ought to follow what Dave Grohl did and go form a brand new band and move on. I love and respet the Foo Fighters for this. Grohl never sold out. |

Yeah well being a guy, I was amazed by Suzies beautiful voice and positive attitude, as far as I am concerned Marty and Suzie were the best and the most confident for sure. Jordis was immature and had a long long way to go before she is ready to be a rockstar. She flubbed up so many times!!! I heard something about a Rockstar: INXS tour, but am not sure if they are talking about INXS and Marty on Tour or an actual tour of the losers (like American Idol did) And if Marty does open for INXS, will it be him and the Rockstar house band or will it be the Lovehammers? Either way I will be in the front row dancing and moshing! |

I will certainly go to the INXS conert, regardless of who actually won the whole competition. I am dying to see Marty perform... but I'm not sure if it's just Marty or Marty with the Lovehammers. I can't seem to get that detailed nailed down.
I heard that the "losers" ... if you can call them that... are doing the whole tour thing, but I'm not sure how far back they go. It can't be ALL of them. I'd love to see Marty (duh!), Suzie, MiG, and hmmmm.... I either liked Jordis or wondered what she was doing on tv. She was sorta all over the place. Immature is right. Oh... Ty. I liked Ty. Thought he gave a good show. My mind's blank... I have to think about who else I'd really like to see.

Colleene- you Avatar is working fine! And I am ashamed to admit that I missed 3/4 of the season of the series because I really am not a tv person. I got into the show when it was down to five contestants. JD, Marty, Mig, Jordis and Suzie. But I have seen Ty on the RINXS website replays since I am a verizon user. I cannot wait to see the whole thing though. That Brandon dude looks weird. lol

Rockbeast... Hey... Brandon was from Michigan... my state.... so he wasn't THAT wierd!  Even if you missed most of the season, you got to see the good stuff. Suzie doing Queen was beyond awesome! I don't think I've ever been as stressed out as I was watching RockStar. I was psycho. I wanted Marty to win sooooo bad, but I can see why they picked JD. That's okay, 'cuz this way we get to buy everyone else's solo albums! My second favorite Suzie performance was when she did REM... Losing My Religion. She gave it a harder edge, and it was amazing. For me, it was her and Marty all the way. I see that you're from Seattle, so we'll probably never post at the same time. Are you posting on any of these other boards?? Later. |
