Indulge me a minute. Imagine that you are casting for a new film called Rock Star: INXS The Movie. Pick your cast for each main role from Hollywood actors.

Dave Navarro: Johnny Depp
The Rockers:
Marty Casey: Heath Ledger (think: A Knight's Tale)
JD Fortune: Colin Farrell
MiG Ayesa: Tobey McQuire (make sure his hair is dark)
Suzie McNeil: Hillary Duff
Jordis Unga: Pauley Perrette (you know the Goth chick on NCIS...but with dreds)
Ty Taylor: Taye Diggs (but with mohawk)
The Band:
Andrew Farriss: Richard Karn (you know Al on Home Improvement)
Tim Farriss: Kenneth Branagh (with wilder hair)
Jon Farriss: Kiefer Sutherland
Kirk Pengilly: Gary Oldman
Garry Gary Beers: Michael Keaton

Who is Tobey McQuire??? Don't you mean Tobey Maguire? lol. For MiG, I would say Ewan McGregor...short, muscular, does theater (seriously). And for Marty...actually I like Heath Ledger as Marty. Good choice.

Good call on Johnny Depp! I think Brooke Burke should play herself.
Heath as Marty? Excellent. But definitely more Knight's Tale than 10 Things I Hate About You.
JD reminds me of someone, and it's been bugging me all summer! A certain celeb....

For MiG, I would say Ewan McGregor...short, muscular, does theater (seriously). Good call. Ewan McGregor would be a fantastic Mig. How f**king random would that be if there would be a movie... Ewan McGregor has a good voice, too. His cover of "Your Song" by Elton for Moulin Rouge was perfecto. |

i only disagree on the heath ledger as marty... not sure who i would replace him with though... OH! I know, Ralph Fiennes, but with long hair and no english accent

I love Heath Ledger!! However, I agree with someone else's post that Orlando Bloom should play Marty. He is so hot!!!!
