I have to say Suzie was the most likeable person besides Marty. They seem very similar in temperment. I read on the MSN boards that a lot of people didn't like Suzie but I thought she was a doll and so talented. I've seen her hosting some news shows in Toronto but I hope her music career takes off.

amai, I have to agree with you totally about Ty's attitude. He seemed to think he was the only one worthy of being there and was so dumbfounded when he was dismissed. I noticed when he was there for the finale he didn't smile once, he looked so angry. I do think he did the INXS songs really well though.

I very much enjoyed Jordis and MiG. I think both will end up with stellar careers.

After Marty, My favorite was Suzie. She was kind of naive about being a rockstar, and hung in there until she got it right. She has a great voice, and I hope she' makes ii in music. And then JD. I liked his arrangements, but I didn't love him. But he seems to suit INXS, so more power to him.

My first choice when the show began was Ty. Marty shocked me with his performance. But as weeks went by I began to like Mig and JD. Then Marty really impressed me with his learning and changing and those eyes. I realized that Ty wasn't someone INXS wanted even though I feel he has alot of talent, but he made alot of mistakes in his singing. I feel Marty was the highest voted by the viewers. They even said his songs was the highest downloads but I truly think the show was rigged from day one and JD was their fron t man all along. He sang the lead to "US"..INXS new song to be...which Marty barely had any vocal in that song. Had me saying HMMMM and I still do. They (INXS) just kept making remark to JD and the singers kept saying why is JD getting alot of free time with INXS...HMMMMM.

My favorite after Marty.....Mig for his performances, Jordis for her vocals and Suzie. For some reason, I really did not care for Ty or JD. I think when they performed, I just didnt feel it.

Hi everyone,
LOVED Jordis, would buy her album tomorrow if she had one, she is just gorgeous and her voice is so unique. The feeling she puts into her songs almost brings tears to your eyes. Also liked MIG lots, he had great stage presence and was a terrific guy. Great eyes and very energetic. Suzie did absolutely nothing for me, didn't find her voice anything special and wouldn't bother to buy her album (if she gets one out). Hated JD from episode one but do think INXS made the right choice chosing him for their lead singer, he is a 'bad boy' just like Michael Hutchence was and will suit the band. I am just so glad Marty didn't win because us fans have got the best end of the deal with getting to see him do his 'own' thing. Cheers, Helen.

Jordis. by far. With all due respect for Trees, I think Try Not was the best original song of the show.
I liked Mig when he rocked out, not when he did sappy ballads. I also liked Tara's personality and Heather's hippiedom.
Neal was second only to Marty for Hotness. He just had a baby!

My favorite was for JD to front INXS and Marty was my favorite, but with his band Lovehammers. I prefer Marty with Lovehammers and I love their music so I think INXS made the right choice and everyone wins.

Suzie. Her vocal abilities blew me away! I also loved MiG's Baby I Love Your Way performance.

Other than Marty...my favorite was Jordis. I love her voice. I too love Try Not. She and Marty should keep collaborating. I also really liked Deanna's voice. That said, I think INXS made the right choice for themselves. I want to hear my favorites sing songs that are tailored to their vocal strengths not MHs.

Besides Marty...definitely Jordis. Wonderful. I think Suzie also has a great voice. She doesn't really seem to make the sort of music that I actually gravitate toward buying, but I do think she's got a very good voice. She comes across a little bit dippy, but that's part of her charm, I think. She's got an endearing sense of fun about her. Not really a fan of Mig's musical/performance style, but he too was very endearing and I pulled for him as a person. Not related to the topic exactly, but I was just thinking back to the very, very first episode when Will sort of sniffily dismissed Marty as a cliche after seeing him perform for the first time....hehe. I don't wish ill will on Will, but I chortle when I think of that comment. He's probably a nice guy despite that momentary lapse of judgment.

Hi everybody. My first post--just moved over from the official msn site because of the rampant thread deleting. After Marty, I liked JD and Jordis. I was pretty happy when it came down to the final two, because I knew that no matter how it ended, one of my favorites would win. (I noticed that comment by Wil, too. He sure got it wrong.)

okay so before i became a Kool-Aid Drinkin' Tree-Swingin' Hammerhead mmmMarty worshipping fool i loved many others... I started watching the show for Neal Carlson because i loved (and still love) Bona Roba. They're actually a pretty important band on the NYC scene so i was shocked that he would consider leaving them for INXS. (the fact that he writes songs about black girls doesn't hurt either). i was also madly in love with Jordis Unga and still am. I really dig Liar's Club and I'm excited to see what's next for them/her. UNGA!... i love doing that. I also was hopelessly devoted to Brandon (i actually shed a tear when he left) although i know he wasn't that great, i just felt like he was the ultimate in Dirty Cheezy Rockstar lovin'. They should reform the Black Crows with him as the lead singer maaan. (and his performance of Hard To Handle was much better than MiG's, sorry) I also loooved Ty, just loved him even the slight cheese-factor that he had couldn't sway me. i mean Heartbreaker first week... just awesome man. and while it took me a while to start loving sweet suzie mcneil, by week 7 she had me. I was really gunning for her to win. She could sing the hell out of the INXS back catalogue... (although she cried like a baby). but ultimately all of this pales in comparison to the reverence and devotion i have for my omnicient Mad Conductor. ALL HAIL! ::sips some peach kool-aid and puts on a fedora:: ♥ sheria.

Jordis is my choice. It was Marty's comment about her giving the best performance on the show that got me to download some of her songs from MSN and he was right on. Now they are both on my favorite playlist. I think her new CD will be awesome with songs that she and Marty are writing together.

Hi everyone,
As so many of us Marty fans loved Jordis as well, wouldn't it be cool if LH had her do a couple of songs as a guest if they opened for INXS.
I would so love that!!
Cheers, Helen.

Funny how people who like Marty also like Jordis. And Mig. I like these 3, too. And in that order. I also liked Deanna. Great voice. Suzie's voice was good, too, but I hated it when she would make that "face" at the end of almost every song. Sorry to any INXS fan who reads this but I'm glad MArty lost to JD. Marty is too good for INXS! I grew up in the 80s and I didn't like the band then and I still don't really like them now. Marty's great style and voice would be lost in INXS. After his exposure in the show, I'm sure he and his band will go a long, long, looooooooooong way! JD suits the band better because he always knows what to say to please those guys! Besides, he did a lot of ego-stroking and they liked it. It was so obvious to me and my friends that they chose JD way before the finals. But I'm glad they kept Marty around until the end. It was great watching him! I'd love to go up a tree with him any day.
