Well I purchased this DVD today and watched all of it. One good thing is that marty has more performances than any other (except JD singing with INXS). I was just not impressed with the whole thing. I really hope that they just put this out quickly before Christmas and are working out all of the red tape to put out the entire season. That's what I want. I enjoy listening to what INXS has to say about each performance, I want to see some of the episodes that i missed (I wasn't into it right away). Maybe we should email them with this request, but I'm not sure who to email?? If anyone has any idea who to email about this please post it. Brenda

I bought it. I think it's worth it as a souvenir. I think that thew whole season will never come out officially, but I know that someone is selling a set they made themselves and people are very pleased with it. I can send you the details.

I finally watched the entire dvd. I know there are JD fans and Marty is friends with JD, but.....it was very disappointing to hear JD trying to do Michael Hutchence's songs. Michael Hutchence was a charismatic, talented person. He had a beautiful voice. I really enjoyed listening to him as did many others. I don't know, it just doesn't seem right that JD should replace him. In a way, why didn't the band leave "INXS" as it was in memory of Michael and just start a new band. Very disappointed! The Loved One: www.michaelhutchenceinfo.com/the%20loved%20one.htmI know....it is so sad. JD will *NEVER* be in the same league as Michael. A friend let me hear the Switch album and I could not believe how unbearably awful it was. I mean if this was the early 80's and there was no Michael Hutchence it might pass as acceptable to some, heck New Kids on the Block had a huge hit with Hang Tough!! But this ain't the 80's! Michael has spoiled INXS. For anyone else to front them posing as a Michael-wannabe is ludicrous!!!! I only ordered this DVD for Marty and Mig and Jordis.

Question for DVD owners: Exactly how much Marty are we getting here? 4 performances, a 2-minute interview and the same clips from MSN? I definitely want this anyway, but I'm curious about the Marty breakdown. Just want to have something extra-special to look forward to, if it exists.

I don't think Michael should have been replaced. I like your idea of a new band name. I don't think I will be able to sit through the old songs when I go to the concert. Maybe I will take that opportunity to wander around and look for the Lovehammers. I am waiting for my DVD from Amazon and I hope I will not be too disappointed for lack of not enough Marty Casey to enjoy.

I got mine too and watched it immediately. I loved all of Marty's songs but I would have liked to have seen the more active Marty on there too. It was worth the $9+ !!!!!!!!

Show Performances feature the following: Mr. Brightside – Marty Casey – perfect, love his version and still do. Hit Me Baby One More Time – Marty Casey – everyone I know (4 to 60 years old) loves to hear him sing this song…..awesome performance Wish You Were Here – Marty Casey – Totally awesome voice and a great performance. 3. Suicide Blonde – Marty Casey does it better! 5. Don’t Change – not joking – JD actually had the nerve to sing this song and he was really awful – still can’t believe he had the ----- to sing a song Marty Casey nailed. Worst performance yet by JD, he couldn’t reach some of the notes. Sherri, you made me smile when I was reading your post. I thought to myself now this is a TRUE Marty fan talking. I am looking forward to getting the DVD...however, my real dream DVD would be the Nov. 23 performance at the METRO.

It's a good buy for $8.98. (Target) I'm not sure which clips are on MSN, but I've listed a breakdown of the clips on this DVD. There are 4 performances by Marty Casey. Mr. Brightside – Hit Me Baby One More Time – Creep – Wish You Were Here. BEHIND THE SCENES:The clips on DVD are very much like the clips here on MC.org: Marty is in Clip 1 – Mansions First Impressions (1:55) All the performers talk about the mansions décor/scenery. Marty is in Clip 2 - Rockers Photo Shoot (0:45) No talking except for at the end when Marty says “wooo”. Performers are wearing first episode outfits. Marty is in Clip 3 – Backstage Vocal Warm-Ups - Performers are lectured on smoking and alcohol. Marty is in Clip 4 – Rockers Get Made Up (1:51) – Performers are shown having make-up put on. Marty says “My friends in Chicago would not be down with me wearing make-up, at all”. And there is more. Marty is in Clip 5 – Rock star Mansion VIP Party (2:20) – Short clip of a party around the pool. (celebrities and rock star performers) Marty is in Clip 6 – The Rockers Get Tattooed (1:57) – Same clip that is on this site. Marty is in Clip 7 – Suzie Wrestles Mig (1:17) – Suzie wants to prove her toughness and wrestles with Mig. Marty is in Clip 8 – Backstage Tour with JD, Marty, and Mig (2:42) – I believe this one is also on this site Marty is in Clip 9 – A Rocker Trip Down Memory Lane (2:18) Also available on this site. No Marty in this clip 10 – Q&A with INXS Star 98.7 (2:16) - INXS, JD and Suzie takes questions from audience members at. No Marty in this Clip 11 - JD prepares for “We Are the Champions” (1:15) – Suzie and JD talking. Marty is in this Clip 12 – Jordis “Man who Sold the World (1:06) – Talks about why she sang that song. EXTRAS:Casting interviews – Performers casting interviews – Passport mistakenly has his age as 26. Photo Slideshow – a slideshow of the performers Human Being – Mig and JD talking TOO HOT FOR TV Ass Cake (1:49) - A naked JD sitting on a chocolate cake or something brown. Marty Casey is standing there in his undies and laughing. JD gets off the table and walks down a hall. He has the brown stuff smeared all down his backside….not sure why they wanted to put that in. Piercing (:50) – One of the women have an unshown – unknown – piercing she shows privately to Brandon, JD and Ty. Late Night Mansion Jam (1:52) – Same clip as on this site. Thanks for taking the time to break it down for us, and thanks for the tip about Target D'oh I was just there and didn't even think to check.

Definately a good deal. I just got it today at Sam Goody and ended up paying $14 for it.

Bought the DVD this weekend. My favorite Marty moments:
His tidbit at the Mansion VIP Party... (I liked you... in like... every movie I've ever seen) LMAO over and over again.
His hoopty dance at the Late Night Jam. (Go Marty... it's your birfday)
And I forgot how funny it was when they kept showing Marty scratching his head while rehearsing for HMBOMT. That was great editing!

I think I'll wait until the entire season comes out on a DVD set. Meanwhile, I broke down and bought a DVD from a seller off eBay who offered up all performances of your favorite rocker. I asked them too include JD's birthday episode too, since I missed taping that one, and also didn't start taping up to the last few weeks or so. It also had a bonus of the first Rockstar episode ever. I was really happy with the quality of the DVD and of course having all of Marty's performances in my hands!! Such a treat!!

I made a special trip to Target today to pick this up. It was under $10 with tax!
At first I had a hard time finding it. At my store it was set up amongst the CDs and not with the DVDs. I got the second to last one.
I'm not very impressed with the "artwork" on this thing. I was standing in an extremely long line and couldn't stomach looking at the back of it. I tried to cover it with my hand - lol - to prevent nausea....(sorry JD fans)

Lucy, everyone's opinion is biased...that is the nature of an opinion. Not trying to be negative towards you...I get what you are saying...but Sherry's just sharing her viewpoint. Instead of coming down on Sherry for what she said, you could just share your viewpoint of the performances and let us know your thoughts about them.

I got my DVD from Amazon today and watched the extras and behind the scene stuff and it was cute. I got a kick out of Marty's audition because he didn't seem like the same person on the show at all. Way more outgoing, but it was an audition so one would not be laid back like he seems. I suppose I'm recommending this thing, it was fun.
I just saw some of the INXS "concert" with JD at the end of the final show and spotted our own Mod Jodie in her bedazzled Marty shirt! I wanted to start the Where's Jodie drinking game but it wasn't even noon. Next time Jodie. I just screamed Holy Crap there's Jodie! It was like I just saw my best friend on TV. Very strange to recognize someone I have never met.

Just got my DVD from Amazon too!!! Watching the backstage stuff first. Catch up what I missed being that I didn't see the first few episodes. They sure do pkg it tight. I couldn't rip it off fast enough. Marty just went wooo to the camera and threw up his hat.

Watched the DVD last night. I was not too disappointed thanks to the reviews here. I noticed Marty's dry sense of humor. I think my favorite clip was when they were doing the backstage vocal warm up. I actually liked JD a little better after watching this.
I did get annoyed watching the INXS concert. I started to play the "How Many Times Can JD Steal Moves From Other Rockers" game, but just got too irritated. I threw something at the screen when he did a pseudo-mad conductor. But, I thought "Never Tear Us Apart" w/ all the rockers was cool. Bless his heart (in southern that means what an idiot), he couldn't even get the song "Pretty Vegas" right. He came in at the wrong time.

Yes, the moves bothered me too, he sounded just ok but let's say he was exited and hope for the best at the concert. Or we could just go in search of Lovehammers. I love the southern Bless your heart comment that made me giggle. I thought I was the only one who used it in this way, lol it sounds so sweet. I also do the You're so pretty (means you are so dumb) so the Better than Pretty t-shirt JD wears all the time cracks me up. I was curious what y'all thought of the audition part. Marty, JD and Neal made me go huh. Marty because he was so different. The others just kinda weird. What do you think?

The audition part was another part of MC that I thought was so honest and true. Can't get enough of him.
