wow Johnny as Michael H. I just saw the CSI episode that was "inspired" so to speak by MH's demise. It creeped me out. Not as much as Kate Moss playing Paula Yates would creep me out though. You'd think Johnny would have something to say about casting!

Definitely can see Johnny Depp playing Michael Hutchence - or even Jim Morrison in a remake of the Doors. Kate Moss - maybe not so much. I think she's done music videos, but don't know about the acting...

Aren’t they both a little too old, at this point? If it’s a biopic, I would think that they would cast actors in their mid-20s.
Isn’t Johnny Depp about 5 years older now than Michael Hutchence was when he died?

Well, as much as I would have loved to see Johnny Depp in that role, he's pretty smart about his choices. If he doesn't think he can bring it, I'm glad he's not doing it just to do it, you know?

I was wondering why the project wasn't mentioned in the Rolling Stone interview. Too bad, really. I think J Depp would be great as MH. God knows they'll probably cast Tom Cruise. Remember when he was supposed to be Lestat?!
