I won't ruin anyone's fun in watching the elimination show tonight...but I DO have to say that the energy of the crowd & the rockers cannot even come CLOSE to comparing with last year's bunch. For the most part, I hate to say it, they have flat personalities. I REALLY hope it gets pumped up a bit...because Tommy Lee's always a riot to watch, & the pPOD is one cute little package, but ... overall, I was sorely missing Marty, Mig, & Jordis and the rest of 'em...believe it or not, even _____ - at least he would come out & perform, smarmy or not. The bottom 3 - I mean this was possibly their last chance to show what they've got - & honestly, I didn't really get any of the 3 performances. They got to choose their own song - so they had complete control of it! for what they would sing as their elimination song. I won't say who, but these were the songs: L.A. Woman - the Doors Stars - Switchfoot and....drum roll please.... Planet Earth bynone other than Duran Duran. Yes, this is the ROCK & ROLL show to pick out a singer for Supernova ...sigh... No Marty/LH sightings, no guest judge, no guest performance. There was an encore performance by one of the gals... That's it!  |

Interesting....someone thinks elimination is the time to do a Duran Duran tune?  I loved Duran Duran back in the day, but this show is certainly not the place for it. |

I was thinking the same thing about Duran Duran..yikes.
Did anyone else notice that the guy who sang L.A. Woman had the lyrics wrong? That happens to be my favorite Doors song, so when he sang the first line as "I took a little time about an hour ago" instead of "I just got into town about an hour ago" I was cringing...and yelling at the TV.

sorry kids, no spoilers today...1st I got a parking ticket at work of all places as I ran in to print my ticket...then it took me 1.5 hours to go about 23 miles...ran out of the parking structure & I FELL...actually in retrospect I must laugh at the comic tragedy that was this morning...  (& I have skinned knees, elbows & palms to remind me)...THEN I get up to the gate & they say sorry I'm about 10 minutes too late, the show just started taping & no one can get in. At least I got free parking at the Grove  I almost waited around to talk to people as they left but wasn't quite motivated.  Sad I missed Slash & slipping the mc.org bracelet on Dave, so I guess I just have to double my moxy shots for tomorrow night. sorry everyone! |

Well, i think i finally figured out where SN is coming from.....they are all clearly fried from earlier drug use! (sorry to be so snarky!). I am just disappointed. How could they pass on the hottie, and go with a guy no one can freakin understand?! well, at least i can save my money!
