Sorry, not to be biased but the current contestants on Supernova are downright awful IMO with the exception of Lukas and the gal ( with piercings) who sang "Ring of Fire". The others either lack charisma, stage presence or a good voice for this particular group. None of them ( sorry but I am going to say it anyways) have the combination of what both Marty and JD have. JD is just simply better suited for INXS, thats all but he has a killer presence and a cool voice. Marty on the other hand actually has a better singing voice/style for SUPERNOVA and ofcourse major stage/rockstar presence! Too bad, because if Marty were on this ROCKSTAR SUPERNOVA he would blow them all away..seriously....and win the damn thing with the runner up being LUKAS.

no need to apologise. I don't think anyone here disagrees with you. I will, say tho that I am really happy Marty is with Hammers --it's better than singing for Supernova.

I would truly cry if Marty was with Supernova and not the LH. Gives me shivers just thinking it. I am so thankful RS:INXS came first and not Supernova. I think Marty is where he is supposed to be. Oh, so thankful!!!!!!

After the first night of RSINXS I was looking all over the net trying to get ahold of the performances but with Supernova I am not impressed at all. I agree, just about all of them lack charisma, stage presence and a decent voice. With Supernova so far I am unable to find one of them that even comes close to comparing to Marty, Jordis, JD, Mig etc. To me it is just a big disappointment. I could only hope for Tommy Lee and the others that it will get better after they weed out some of them. I wonder what is going through Daves head when they are up there doing songs that were perfomed on RSINXS, because their performances dont compare to any of them from last year.
PS Whay the hell are they keeping Zayra around anyway?!

It's funny, I was looking at some of Marty's videos from the INXS show, and was thinking that he was better suited for the Supernova show. However, the new show sucks! The House Band is awful, and Marty would have to put up with Tommy Lee, who, I don't know, I just can't come up with a good enough descriptive, to say why that show just is boring so far. Did Dave stretch this idea too far?

Oh, so thankful!!!!!! Amen. I hate that RS SUPERNOVA show with a passion, personally I only saw talent in one person, that being Toby from Australia..... I do not know what people see in Lukas, vocally and on stage JD FORTUNE blows away Lukas (I am not a fan of fortune) So...... RB

Did Dave stretch this idea too far? It's the same house band, actually. But the show is boring, and most of the contestants are mediocre at best. I've also been watching performances from last year, and while it was clear that most of them weren't "roit for OBINXS", at least many of them were talented enougn that you'd want to see them perform every week. Especially once they got down to the final six ...

I like the house band. :~) There have actually been times this season that I was far more impressed with the house band than the performers.
Are they having clinics this season like they did last year? It seems like the performers last season were getting a lot of help/preparation/advice.

I was just wondering the same thing Ceeje! Perhaps because of the position INXS was coming from they had a clearer idea of what they wanted from the show and had higher expectations from the beginning. Maybe Supernova...being brand spanking new is completely open and looking to be convinced more than anything....Yikes is all I can say! So glad Marty wasn't apart of this one! Yay LH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The house band rules. They, and Brooke Burkes mini skirts and baby dolls are the only things worth watching now

LOL! RB! But, I'll agree with that the only thing worth watching so far on this season's show is the House Band. And seeing how much "funny" mileage the Leper Pop boys, et al, can get out of the performances and Supernova. I'm afraid, unless things improve soon, I'll be bailing on this season before the final weeks.
(I'm glad this isn't the season Marty was one of the contestants!)

The main reason I'm watching is because all of you are watching and I don't want to be left out of the scoop. Otherwise, the House Band is the only thing that has my full attention.
It's definitely a good thing Marty wasn't in this season...they would have scooped him up and taken him far, far from Lovehammers.

I think this year's "prize" is a little different from last year's ... it seems to involve only one concert (in addition to an album), but not an entire year's worth of touring. So, since we all agree that Marty would have blown everyone else out of the water, he also would have still ben able to stay with LH ...
I am not impressed with this year's contestants at all. I have watched the performances of last year's Final Six again (Marty, JD, MiG, Suzie, Jordis, Ty), and all of them had much more talent, maturity and on-stage experience than any of this year's bunch.

Even though Marty is better suited for Rockstar Supernova, if he had been on this year's show, we may never have seen Marty's skilled transformation for each show and the range of emotions he brought for each performance. Each week we got to see him grow as a performer taking advice from INXS and others on the show. If he was on Rockstar Supernova, he could have continued to,as he has said perform as if he had put his finger in a light socket. He learned a lot by being on RS:INXS. Marty and all of us learned how gifted he really is. We are very fortunate that he was on RS INXS and not Rockstar Supernova. Edited to add: Check out the 4th Wk video "Marty's Sister Visits". www.martycasey.org/videos.htm Den

Well I guess I am in the minority...but I am enjoying Rock Star: Supernova. It is better than 90% of the crap on TV -- especially in the summer when they parade out endless reality shows. I won't miss an episode of RS:N if I can help it. No, there is not Marty Casey there for me....but there are several of the singers I do enjoy. And the House Band is fabulous!!

True, Cindy. This is the only show that I *have* to watch each week. I do have my favorites and I really enjoy their performances.

i agree that Marty's vocal and stage style would best suit RS SUPERNOVA. I do watch it every week and have my faves there (Lukas is NOT one of them). Marty would have forced the rest of the rockers to step it up if they really wanted to compete. But when u think of the band SUPERNOVA, u really don't get the sense of awe u get when u think INXS. Its a totally different feel and I am glad Marty is not on this years show. what he is doing now is right for him. and with the billions of fans around the world from the exposure of RS INXS, he has it made....

Marty is his own man, and he would be NOT a happy camper with that bunch of egomaniacs (I only like Tommy Lee, who seems a nice guy who really loves what he does). Gilby Clark is still frustrated from being Slash's and Izzy's bitch, and Jason Newsted has forgotten a LOT of what he did with Metallica (Bashed poor Phil for moving his head...I remember those whirlwind red mohicans of yours, mate!).
Besides, they don't like Megaphones.... ;D
Marty has so much flair and personality than all the guys over there. I am a DILANA fan all the way and hope it's going to be a woman this time!
