RS:Supernova Wk 6 Reality, Performance and Elim.

I agree with most everyone's bottom 3 Patrice Jill Zayara...although gotta give Z credit for walking in those shoes and not tipping over ***grin***
For the first time I was digging Toby and starting to understand what people were talking about, until the megaphone thing but other than that thought he was pretty good.
Dilana love her, love her with Gilby
Lukas, it was good, different from Marty. He struggled a bit too much with the high part(which I think everyone other than Thom Yorke struggles with) but I like the way he ended it.

I picked Patrice to go home...

I believe Lukas will get the encoure - SN loved him.

I liked his performance, but didn't love it. He did fairly well and showed a different side of himself - he got out of the box. Unfortunately, this showcase also highlighted some of his vocal llimitations. I think the limitations can be altered if he would agree to working with a voice coach, but he's shown us on the show that he isn't willing to do that.

With a bit of vocal coaching he could've killed that song!

Lukas deserves the encore! We finally heard his voice last night. I thought he did really well.

I really liked Toby's performance. Yes, I could have done without the megaphone, but up until now I thought his performances were average. He really stepped it up a notch last night.

I also liked Ryan a lot. I was thinking WTF in the beginning too, but you have to admit that you couldn't look away.

Magni was great. He finally rocked last night! His family was adorable too.

Dilana was good. She's been better.

I was bored with Storm because it was so similar to last week.

Patrice took an awesome, awesome song and didn't do enough with it.

The others aren't even worth mentioning.

I thought Dilana was GREAT as always. I think she can do no wrong.

Storm was good but I think Jordis did a much better job with this song last year. I know I should not compare these contestants from last years but I just cannot help myself.

Patrice...

I am with Cindy on Zayra. I know she is not right and has no chance of winning, but I can't wait to see her every week.

I was let down with Jill last night. The first time I did not enjoy her at all.

I adored Josh last night for the first time.

Magni... I am not normally a fan but last night I was.

Ryan was terrible in my opinion. What the hell was he wearing? Tights? Leggings? I don't know... but it was not attractive. And when he took off the hoddie (he should have left it on cause it covered that bad eye make up job) he looked like he had a dead cat on his back.

I loved Toby. He already has my heart but I love 80's music. He could have lost the megaphone but whatever.

Lukas... hhhmmmm... What can I say about Lukas?
I thought he did a descent job with Creep. I have always thought he looked like a demonic elf and when he sang the high pitched stuff I thought he sounded like one too. He gave me chills alright but not the right kind. I thought it was just creepy (no pun intended)

Toby is still my favorite cutie on RS II. I loved his performance, although I was nervous because I knew the megaphone part was coming. It wasn't as bad as I expected, and I liked the shout out to Australia with the flag. My Grandma was born and raised in Australia so I feel a sentimental attachment.

As for the rest...

Z should have just performed naked because you could see all her business anyway - blech!!!!!!

Jill - Yawn

Patrice - Her hair bugged me, it looked like a Poochie Dog.

Josh - After seeing his performance last night and the song he wrote on the reality segment - I'm not hating him anymore. He does have a pretty good voice.

Storm - Loved her performance, thought she was a little flat on the low notes.

Dilana - I don't know why she bugged me last night - maybe it was her pants. It looked like she borrowed them from Mig.

Ryan - A little (actually a lot) strange but SN seemed to like it

Magni - Loved his performance and his baby was so cute.

Lukas - I liked his performance but I expected a little more powerful from the practice stuff they showed on the reality segment. A great performance and luckily it was different enough not to clash with Marty's version.

My prediction for tonight's show:

Dilana: I loved her. When she sang with Gilby-adorable. They looked like they really were in a band together.

Patrice: Is it just me, or does it look like a five year old does her hair every week? She was all right, but coffeehouse material, not my TV material.

Josh: I actually liked him this week, even though he was still smiling. Is it a perma-smile?

Jill: Blah. It sounded like she was talking into the mic.

Zayra: I don't even know this song and know she ruined it. Bowie would never write a song that boring.

Storm: I liked her, I thought this song suited her voice well.

Magni: I didn't catch the first part of his song(brush fire up north, bor-ing) but I loved him. How cute was the baby?

Ryan: He was all right, but please tell me the makeup was a prank pulled by Lukas and his makeup bag the night before.

Lukas: My mother: "He struts like a peacock, but he's talented enough to pull it of." I thought he was the best of the night, and was actually adorable last night instead of being a completely arrogant bastard. How cute was that wink at the end?

Toby: He was good, though the megaphone-blah. It's been done, and you don't need a prop for your voice, dear.

Yah, I consistently don’t understand the rave reviews of Lukas’ performances. My only explanation is that I must not be their target audience...or it sounds a whole lot better live than on television.

kept an open mind while watching last night and I have to say there really are decent, good performances last night... but I dunno... even the hyped-up performance of Lukas didn't get to me...

Josh - I'm glad people aren't dumping so much crap on him like they were before. After Santeria, the performance last night, and his song in the clinic (which I think was the best song of all of them), he's in 2nd place for me... if he can write songs like that and sing them the way he did... I wouldn't mind him even winning... as long as he steps up his performance a bit and learns to move more on stage without being uncomfortable.

Dilana - I still love her the most, and still want her to win the whole thing

Toby: He was pretty good until the megaphone came out. He did that for way too long.. it became lame. It would have been OK if he did just a little with it, or just the siren at the end.

Z sucks

Jill - She was OK I guess. She looked and performed better than usual, but she still sucks

Patrice - She was boring as usual... except for My Iron Lung, which was one of my faves of the whole show

Storm - She was pretty good

Ryan - freakin weird... and he's so... like... teen angst ridden or something... and he's not even a teen!

Magni - He was freaking great and has the cutest kid

Lukas - Can't stand him... ever. He's all talk. He says he's so wonderful, you would expect him to be so much better than he is. Also, he's sort of an ass. It's one thing to be confident, but when you act like you're better than everyone in your own audience, they will just commit mutiny

I hope Z goes finally. I really don't want to see the clown act anymore. It's gone too far, and I have to put my foot down. LOL

Encore.... I guess they'll give it to Lucas.... yuck!

I predicted each of the bottom three tonight..in fact in keeping with my rules when voting, I voted for everyone but those three so they could be my bottom three. I felt pretty sure Ryan sucked last night even though others seemed to think it was edgy and cool. I figured he was a bottom three candidate, but that since it was his first trip there, he would come out alive. Josh was good but not real good and Jill was Jill. I did not, however, see the double elimation coming... I thought it would be Jill all the way.

I can't watch anymore. I didn't realize Josh leaving would have that effect on me since I didn't even want him to win, but... the truth is, the show was starting to get boring, and Josh added interest when he did Santeria, and when he wrote the best song... I really wanted to see more of his writing. Unfortunately my favorite, Dilana, wrote one of the worst songs. I'd love to see her front Supernova, but not if her songs suck... and I can't freakin stand Lucas.

Z is funny, but she's always so embarrassing that I have to hide my face... I can't take it anymore! I'm done with this show... blech!

I didn't watch the performances or the elimination episodes this week so I have no idea how everyone did. I am kinda upset Josh went home but I could never picture him fronting Supernova so he would be going home sooner or later...

What did Ryan sing this week? I like him. I think he is very good... escpecially his performance last week.

I am maybe one of few that is really happy with the outcome yesterday. Jill was boring me and I never understood what Josh was doing in this competition. I always felt like he was so out of place just like Ms. Z. At first she did annoy me terribly but now I am finding her most entertaining. It´s kind of funny that it is just like she has a touch of immunity, she stays in week after week although everybody knows that she is not the right person for Supernova. I find each and every contestant that has been on RS Supernova great it is just a matter of finding a match for Supernova.

Natasha, you were asking about Ryans song. This week he sang Paint it black (Rolling Stones) and in the elimination he sang Enjoy the silence (Depeche Mode)

I stood up in my living room and clapped when both of them went home. The only outcome that would have been better is if they had sent Patrice packing too...I wish they would just hurry up and get rid of those people they know they are not going to pick so the few good ones can fight it out. I think it will come down to Dilana, Lukas and Magni. I think these are the only real contenders...not that there aren't others that are good, but SN is just not going to pick them.

I cannot believe Z is still on there. Yes, she is entertaining, but she continues to butcher songs that I love and it makes me ill!! Z, the butcher!

Magni rocks - he did really well this week - and was his baby cute or what!?
Lukas is getting better - I'm warming up to the little guy.

Toby, oh Toby how could you whip out the megaphone. He totally blew any sort of respect I had for him at that point.

Wow - what an evening.

I was shocked (and a little sad) to see Josh go home. I was just starting to get him. I knew he wasn't right for the band, but thought he'd stick around a little while longer due to his original song on the reality segment (which I thought was the best)

Jill - blech - go home already.

As for Ryan's performance - I was blown away. Being an 80's gal, I wanted to get up and dance during his song. That was a great, current version of a fantastic song. Ryan's voice blew me away during the strong parts.

Way to go Ryan!
