CREEP

just came from the RS SUPERNOVA site. they have the webisode posted for week 6. Lukas is going to do 'Creep' this week....and from what i saw, he is not gonna pull it off. dont know about u, but the song Creep has never been the same for me since Marty sang it on RS INXS. he totally rocked it and the way he sang it is the way it is suppose to be. ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE!!!

Creep was one of my favorite from RS INXS and I was really hoping that this song would not be in RS Supernova. But according to what Kimberly87 wrote yesterday, I am getting so curious that I will have to watch it tonight

I am NOT going to say what he sang, but it was my worst fear that someone would sing this song since Marty did it sooo well last season on RS, and I would never want anyone to sing it cuz I assume they would mess it up. Me too... very anxious to see it!! Marty's performance of
Creep was my favorite last season.... No one could ever
duplicate a Marty performance but it will be
great to see Lucas' interrpretation, and I can imagine it will be
awesome in that respect!!

You know how they retire jersey numbers in foot ball when a really good player retires or dies? RS should do that with songs.

SO.....? what did you think? Completely different right? It is almost like it was a different song all together since it was so different than Marty's... But I absolutely loved Lukas's version.

Like I said I never wanted to hear anyone else sing Creep, but if someone had to I am glad it was Lukas, and I loved his version.

Though since marty sang that song, I STILL to this day hear his voice.

But lukas rocked it.....love that boy!

I can't imagine any of the others even attempting "Creep"... HUGE shoes to fill - those Chuck Taylors... .

I saw Lukas perform Creep tonight and I thought he did a good job, but it just made me long to see Marty sing it again. Plus, I hate how all the songs are shortened on rs Supernova. I don't remember the songs being that short on rs inxs. I wanted to see Lukas sing the whole song.

Welcome to the boards Mel! The songs were short last year too but as they eliminate more contestants people get to sing longer. I think Marty sang Creep later in the season. If you look at the clips from last year early in the show they are only a minute and half long.

I thought Lukas did a respectable job with the song. He doesn't give me goosebumps though. (Sorry K87--I can intellectually appreciate his performance--but emotionally he leaves me cold! To each his own! Right girl?)

I really hate the way Lukas moves, he does nothing for me, but its just my opinion! Marty is the best and always will be! I think Ryan can sing better than Lukas, just needs some star quality.

I thought Creep was Lukas' best performance on the show. First time that he does not strain his vocal cords so much.

But for me it is not comparable to Marty´s performance. I watched his video last night and it still gives me goosebumps after seeing it for the 100 times.

:-/well, I guess he did ok. he pulled it together there at the end. the guys seemed to like it. but ya know, in comparison to Marty's performance, Lukas doesnt have the same stage presence. If u go back and look at the video of Martys Creep from last season, he just pulls u in until the last note with his eyes and his voice. That will always be my favorite performance of his from RS INXS!!!

and still does, everytime I watch it.

I'm with you, rowan. I would prefer the eye over the eyebrow .

I like Lukas... like him a lot. Thought his Creep was really really good. He is one of my picks to make it to the finals.

Now, I like Lukas alright - I don't agree with Jason Newsted who played for years with James Hetfield - who more guttural and nasal than him? - and he has been giving him a lot of s**t for his voice, but please, the only thing in common between the two versions was that neither of the two did a perfect falsetto section.

Otherwise, MARTY last year,

Lukas left me cold and was even arrogant blinking at the end. I think they have found their JD.

I got goosebumps! Wonder if Dilana did too? She says she's been waiting for Lukas to give her goosebumps. I think Lukas is great. I've been listening to some of his music from his previous band Rise Electric. He's very good. If he wins Supernova, I would like to see them in concert. Dilana too. She's wild. I also like Storm. The three I mentioned are my top 3 pick at the finale.

I liked Lucas's performance of Creep a lot! I agree, he will be one of the final 3. He's no MC, but then again..............................none of the RS Supernova's this year are!
