I missed seeing Lukas's Creep the first night. Luckily I had recorded it. I'm so glad he is finally really singing instead of that....uh...I'm not sure what he was doing before... Marty's Creep has always been one of my favorite performances. Luckily Lukas did not try to repeat it the same way. Two different versions. Top 3 yes. Magni and Dilana are my pick for top two....may change though if Lukas keeps singing the way he did for Creep. Den

I keep forgetting about Magni! Mainly because I see him as fronting his own band NOT Supernova. But he is AWESOME too. I definately can see him in the finale. Maybe instead of Storm as I mentioned previously!

I saw Lukas perform Creep tonight and I thought he did a good job, but it just made me long to see Marty sing it again. Plus, I hate how all the songs are shortened on rs Supernova. I don't remember the songs being that short on rs inxs. I wanted to see Lukas sing the whole song. Welcome to the boards Mel! The songs were short last year too but as they eliminate more contestants people get to sing longer. I think Marty sang Creep later in the season. If you look at the clips from last year early in the show they are only a minute and half long. I thought Lukas did a respectable job with the song. He doesn't give me goosebumps though. (Sorry K87--I can intellectually appreciate his performance--but emotionally he leaves me cold! To each his own! Right girl?) edited because I should use spellcheck DAMN IT Carol, don't make me come after you!!!! :-)

I personally didn't like his performance. His vocals were strong, no doubt, but I don't like the way his voice actually sounds. I must admit that I was a little offended that he sang Marty's song. ( I know, I know..I'm being silly about it!)
Anyway, this is all coming from the same girl who swore she would stop watching RS this season if Lukas went home. Now? I don't care as much.

I thought it was good, but not my favorite Lukas performance. I did love how he actually sang, though. I like his growl, but I like his voice much better. I want to see more of that.

I just don't him the way you do. I'm still waiting for that moment that just gives me chills. Like Jordis' Man Who Saved the World or Marty --you name the performance! Haven't had it this season yet. Although I think many of the performances have been really good. Maybe my expectations are too high this year based on last year. ya' kim

Hello All,
Lukas's Creep wasn't as intense as Marty's! I didn't feel the pain that Marty's performance had. Lukas should have sang more of the song too... Cutting it short lost some of the impact of the song.
I will forever love CREEP because of Marty!
BTW, I love Lukas and glad that he's there. Not Marty, but he will do!
I saw Marty and the rest of the guys on Thursday in concert in Toronto and they are still with me.... Glad that there's this forum to exude my enthusiasm!
Luv!

hey there homies, finally getting some time to post an unpopular opinion. I cannot handle Lukas. He seriously needs some Ritalin and the way he kept bugging Ryan when Ryan was trying to write his lyric?? I was like "Dude just stop it!" Ryan was too patient with him. Lukas has a short attention span and I think partly was trying to sabotogue (sp?) Ryan. I tried to be fair and after his "Creep" performance thought It was so so til I went back to Marty's version and theres just NO COMPARISON. Marty'a makes me tear up at the end with his angst. Lukas' did nothing for me. I am all about Dilana or Magni or Ryan at this point. Sorry if that offends, can't we all just get along?? :-)

My pick for final 3 (Magni, Dilana and Lucas) was based on who I think will be in the top 3 and not my personal favorites. I don't think Lucas will win because I don't think that the chemistry may be there...too much conflict/drama. I may be wrong. Den

That was pretty funny...seeing Dilana panicking inside...she thought Lukas was going to bomb. Frankly, i didn't think his singing was very good. When he leaves his comfort zone--that gravelly screaming kind of thing -- he doesnt' have much strength to his voice. he's practically whispering! after i watched lukas, I went back to watch Marty's version. SOOOOO much better! Marty has a strong voice when he's singing melodically --- lukas does not. plus, marty is about 4 million times better to LOOK AT! Lukas gives me the creeps. (no pun intended), but without his makeup, i'm guessing he'd be a total DWEEB.
Marty, you are #1 Baby!

Dilana wasn't worried at all it was maternal care. She is like the mom in the house it seems . If I recall she is the one that told Lukas to sing that!! She was worried for him since he wasn't confident in singing it initially. He owes her a big thanks that the crowd received it. I have such a hard time understanding Lukas. He doesn't anunciate very well and his "s" often sound like "sh" that throws me off big time. I noticed that the Supernova message boards he is getting called Smurf Squiggy and Eddie Munster. He isn't as popular there as he is here. Interesting. As far as Creep goes? Magni comes in a close second to Martys version tonight. imho.

Gotta post my opinion. I haven't been on the boards for months....this is nice. Lukas did OK with Creep, but as others have said, I felt empty inside. I rushed over to the computer after he was finished and pulled up Marty's Creep! Lukas just sang it, Marty lived the song and I love that about how he sings. Overall, I love Dilana(?) not sure about spelling, and how she sings and presents herself on stage. There's something about Lukas I don't like and it has to do with personality because I really liked him the first week. I haven't been watching as close this year, just not the same attraction, lol.

Magni's CREEP was not very good, it was lightweight and almost a joke! What a way to sing your supposed fave song...
I liked Marty's performance because he reached you with his eyes, his intensity and passion at every performance...SIGH.

I was surfing at the Supernova site earlier tonight and came across someone praising Marty's version of Creep as their favorite still and next thing I notice is all this Marty bashing!!! some dork was calling Marty a scarecrow and saying that they were trying to erase him from their memory. I was so ticked I almost joined just to tell that doofis off but decided I am not going to those boards anymore. They are being really mean and nasty over there....geez! Not for the faint of heart over there. I am not going back its too much like Jr High... Marty doesn't deserve those asinine comments know what I mean?? I'll stay here where its safe to go in the deep end Jilly

Hi Jilly ! I'm a member on the rockstar:sn nite and I did come across some Marty comments. The worst thing that I saw that someone wrote was that Marty had disappeared after the show while JD is raking in the bucks. I had to set the record straignt, and let them know to me, MArty nailed CREEP. This was my reply: "Letgo4luvgirl Message #130 - 08/18/06 07:28 AM Jennifar & C2Sdriver, I too love Marty's version of CREEP. C2S, is it safe to assume that you liked Marty's version over Lukas'? Since I didn't see Radiohead play Creep LIVE, I'm going out on a limb to say that I liked Marty's rendition over the Pablo Honey CD release... Sorry if this sounds disrespectful to the Radiohead fans!!!! Wikipedia writes, "Thom Yorke explains the song saying that he wrote it while studying at Exeter University. It tells the tale of an inebriated man who tries to get the attentionof a woman he is attracted to, by following her around. In the end, helacks the self-confidence to pull it off. Although he usually referredto the drunken student in the third person, with no little contempt, sometimes outright denying it was him, he sometimes admitted it was." Before the performance, Marty premised the song by saying "INXS wants me to go deep once again...When you're down, it's good to have company..." WOW! Shows he understands the song, has been there and will perform it with his HEART. Marty captured the pain, longing, intensity, and desperation of the song. What's so amazing about Marty (in all of his performances) is that he freezes you on the spot by looking into the camera and he holds you into his gaze; as if looking into your soul. He gives the term "captive audience" an accurate term and gives it its full meaning... By doing this, Marty also invites you into his soul... (I've noticed that none of the rockers so far has been doing this. Dilana did in the early shows but not lately)... Frankly, Marty's Creep scared me because he nailed the "obsessive" part as well with his CRAZY stare. Marty did crack, but this is because he gave this song HIS all, as it's meant to be with someone expressing pain/passion. The crack made it more authentic... You also have to take into consideration that he held the note for a while... Having said this, I loved Lukas' version better than Magni's. Wish Lukas could have sang the whole song. I liked Lukas's interpretation, but again it wasn't as INTENSE as Marty's... Magni's was lightweight and almost a joke. I love Magni's tone, but I didn't feel he captured the essence of the song. Mercutio, MARTY is touring with his band the Lovehammers. HE has an amazing FANbase that truly love and adore him. MOST importantly they are doing their ORIGINAL work, unlike JD. They also got signed with a major label and released their CD Jan 2006. CD is fantastic... I went to the concert a week ago and I'm still ENTHRALLED! SUCH awesome energy! They sounded SOO GOOD! Check CD and Marty out at: www.martycasey.org/Thanks for reading all!" I'm just one voice, but hopefully will make the difference!

Hey thanks for responding to my post. Sounds like you are the level headed articulate type that the message boards need. It seems like some of the Lukas Dilana fights are just so intense that people are taking things so personal and resorting to name calling rather than agreeing to disagree. I will maybe pop on over there now and then, but mostly I'll stick with this site. MartyCasey.org is user friendly and I dig that. Thanks Love! Jilly

Jilly, secretly, I think I joined that to watch over Marty... I liked Lukas on to get-go, but not as passionate for his talents as Marty... I was very disappointed when Zayra was booted off. She reminded me like Marty in that she was fearless, passionate and talented... Also, I stay on the site to hopefully turn more people into Marty and the LH...
