Just finished the show and I had a few thoughts..

Loved Toby and Ryan and Magni. I thought they did an amazing job. I think (from the few episodes I've seen) that Ryan does the same kind of vocal things over and over--intense gravel and I don't know if he could lead a rock band.

Hated--Storm (WHAT THE HECK WAS SHE THINKING?) Patrice did not do well, but she messed up a Jeff Buckley song in an elimination and I've written her off anyway.

I really didn't care for Dilana. I know they said she was amazing, but I didn't get it.

Z-Thought it was actually decent on a vocal level. Not horrible at all.

Lukas (or Lucas.. I'm a bad mod and not sure which) blah.. didn't hate it.. didn't love it.

I am in the Rossi Posse (or is that Possi?) and liked my boy tonight. I have to wonder though what the heck was the deal with those song choices..... where did those come from?? Sounds like an American Idol playlist in most cases...

Picking a bottom three is getting much harder. As each week goes on, the playing field keeps getting more level. I predict it is Patrice's week to go.

There's something about Dilana that's not quite edgy enough for me ... she has a great voice, but if you strip away all the piercings, eccentric clothes, massive amount of dreds, she doesn't really ROCK. She's just a little behind the beat, holds her notes just a little too long ... I don't know, but I'm losing interest in her. Although nobody else really does it for me, either.

Storm was awful, but at least it gave Dave an opportunity to mention what a great job Marty did on HMBOMT last year.

I am enjoying the talent this year....much better than last season with the exception of Marty, of course. IMHO, it is between Dilana and Lukas.....they seem right for this band. I love Magni and Ryan, but just don't see them fronting SuperNova.

BTW, next week in Lincoln, I finally.....FINALLY get to see Marty live...........I am so excited!!!!

Lesse...here I go. In no particular order:

Toby: He was one of my favorites this time. Very sweet and mellow. The bongos-how cute! I was turned off on how you tried to suck up to Dave, though. He's not the one that gets to boot you off-kiss Tommy's ass!

Storm: Errr...this is the first night I didn't like her. She started strong, but then just died at the end. That song isn't fit for acoustic, anyway.

Zayra: Um, I think she sings better in Spanish, though I HATE the wearing a bra onstage. Ick ick ick.

Patrice: My cat could sing that song better. I don't like that song very much, and you just made me hate it. Thanks.

Ryan: Damn, you were good. Gold star, sweetie. You might make it into the top five.

Lukas: If you were any taller, I'd hate your arrogance. Good thing you're short(or look short)-it makes you cute, like a little kid being petulant. Oh, I loved the way he sang. I thought this was his hottest performance.

Magni: I like you, too. He nailed this Bowie song, and I love him for it.

Dilana: You were okay, but you're getting a little old. Go nuts again-I want to see more of that Lithium psychoness.

Mostly I gotta agree with my Flygirl this week.
Absolute best moment, hands down was Dave mentioning Marty. No kidding. Talk about goose bumps!

Ryan -best of the show tomight. He is getting more and more interesting, although his voice doesn't change much.

Magni --nice job on the Bowie tune.

Dilana -- been there done that. It's getting old for me

Patrice *yawns* time for Mom to go home

Zayra -- who gives a toss? A spanish ballad? I don't care what it meant or how it sounded, it ain't right for the ol Supernova boys.

Storm -- my daughter loved this performance. I thought she tried really hard and didn't pull it off. But whaddya gonna do with Gloria Gaynor? This needs to go on on our what would've been worse list for Marty!

Lukas -- good, more of the same. He does make me laugh. Short dudes always try so hard.

did anyone else sing? If they did I have forgotten it and that can't be good.

I agree it's getting harder to chose bottom three, but I really just don't care much. My top 3 -- Ryan, Magni, Lukas; bottom: Zayra, Patrice, Toby (sorry, but if you're gonna sing Gabriel, you better ENUNCIATE baby. The lyrics are important.)

Gawd, what an odd show that was last night. Thank you Dave for mentioning Marty, that was cool.
I got the impression that some of those folks spent to much time in Vegas. Not just the fact that they seemed to still be hungover but some seemed so lounge lizard (Magni and Storm I'm talkin to you.)

Zayra- This is where I have to eat crow. I thought she was... oh god... she was good! I can see her being a huge Shakira type. Her song was pretty good and you know how much this pains me to say it. Again with the Vegas inspired outfit but in her case showgirl. Also, the tie me to the bed post dog collar got a mention from the mister. As in what's up with that?

Magni- loved the song and his voice but it was a bit boring and the white suit screamed lounge singer.

Patrice- She's next to go. I'm dieing to know what SN said to her that was cut because she looked like she could have spit nails at the end of her critic. I just didn't like her trying to get the sing along going. How is Message in a Bottle a hyper sing along? I did not like her version at all.

Lukas- Fly is going faint right now... Lukas was "Money Baby" I really, really liked his Hero! I wish he would have stood on the chair though. He reminded me of Pris from Blade Runner with the eye makeup.

Storm- Hated it! I really like her too. Why did she change the words so much? It just sounded stupid. Who says "as long as I know how to hump I know I will survive?" I rewound 5 times and was all "No she didn't just say that!" Yuck! Again with the Vegas look.

Toby- The bongos were fun.

Ryan- He reminds me of a Lost Boy, not Peter Pan, Kieffer Sutherland vampire. Creepy. I'm not convinced. Can he really rock?

Dilana- Not a fan of the song but she did well. Is she "the one?" At this point I could care less.

Oh and how about Brookes outfit? My mom had a dress just like that in the 70's.

He's my favorite.

Top three last night were Ryan, Toby and Dilana. I still think Dilana will win this thing. She is consistent.

Lukas was good again. Not a huge fan of the chair.

Magni REALLY looked like a lounge singer. But what do you do with some of those song choices?

Poor Storm. That was awful. Again, what do you do with songs like that?

Zayra sounded great. In my opinion she sounds great everytime she gets to pick her own song. However, none of her songs are right for SN.

Patrice. It's time to go. Last night I kept looking at her and she reminded me of Mary Kay LeTourneau. You know the one who went to jail for sleeping with and having two kids with one of her students.

What I also liked about Dave mentioning Marty was that he assumed that everyone knows who Marty is. No explanation needed.

Toby made me nervous because I knew he was struggling with the song - but I thought he did a decent job. Loved the Bongos.

Patrice - yawn - during Supernova's comments she looked bored to tears - I think she lost her desire. I did think her hair extensions were cute

Magni - I think he did a good job

Lukas - Loved the way he did his eye make up - song was good

Ryan - That was a really hard song and I think he did a good job. He's got the voice - but does he have the stage presence to front Supernova - only time will tell.

I think everyone liked Zayra because she didn't get to screw up someone else's song. This was by far her best performance because she isn't a rock singer and isn't right for Supernova. I hated her hair extensions and her outfit.

Dilana - didn't like her outfit and don't shoot me, but I am getting a little tired of her voice.

Poor Storm - I didn't think it was that bad. I think she did the best she could with the song she got.
