Here I go, hmmm. I thought they all were amazing last night, and I really enjoyed how well they all sang.

Lukas: I've been listening to Nirvana since I was ten, pressing up against my brother's door to hear what he and his best friend were saying under "Smells Like Teen Spirit." I never thought Nirvana could be rearranged and still be good. "Because I found......................God." Perfect. Loved it.

Magni: I adored his little speech before the song. He's such a character, and I don't know how anyone could not see that. What a killer job on that song! Not as riveting as it could have been, but still fabulous. I really, really liked him.

Ryan: Loved the opener, loved the kicking the piano stand, loved standing on the piano, HATED sliding across the piano. Tacky. He lost something there for me.

Storm: I've decided that I don't like this song. I love Storm's voice, loved Toby's backing vocals, but this song is boring. It doesn't lend itself to be a riveting song, in my opinion.

Toby: Almost made me love Rebel Yell, but Lukas still holds that honor for me. Very, very good with the vocals and doing Idol. The groupie girl thingy? Total turn-off. It made him look cramped up there.

Dilana: When I saw she was doing this, I thought about her dedicating her last song to her mother. She rocked this song! I thought I'd be turned off by her antics from last week, but she pulled be back with this performance. Amazing.

Yeah, the MSN site was hosed up something fierce tonight. Finally around 11 pm CT, it got better and I could vote. But before then I probably only got 6 or so recorded votes in during the previous two hours.... GRRRR! I did vote several times for Toby and Magni...but of course I voted for my fav....Mr. Rossi. They were my three fav tonight.

YEA!!!! No probs here voting..i think I got about 40 or so in for Mr. Lukas Rossi as well...I saw he was in bottom 3... WTF!!! I mean yes...it is getting more difficuilt but c'mon...not Lukas! that is messed up,... thanks for voting for Lukas Cindy, I feel like my love for him is missed here. ha ha ha.

I had a feeling everyone would be great tonight. Gotta say, tho, I thought Toby was fantastic --and he was brilliant behind Storm, too. Good on him.
I think I get, tho, why my hammerhubby thinks every move Ryan makes is calculated. I really enjoyed seeing his performance but it's just not spontaneous.
Props to Lukas -- a really good performance and Magni too - I thought that was one of his best.
Storm wasn't done any favours by fans choosing that song for her but she was good. Still she will def be in bottom 3 tomorrow.
Dilana. I thought she was great. But Dave, c'mon, man. THAT was your favourite performance from both seasons??

oh.my.god. I decided to take a nap tonight when I got home from work, not worrying cuz my timer was all set to tape the show tonight...well, I still had it on for starting at 10PM from last week, so imagine my horror when I rewind to find CBS's 48 Hours.
thank God I got to see this show live, because it really was the best overall show for all of the rockers performances since the beginning of this season!
I'm really bummed I don't have tonight on tape tho, maybe someone can copy for me?
I can't believe Lukas was in the initial bottom 3. I doubt he'll stay there. This "worldwide vote" is just the people handing in their ballots at the end of Sunday's taping anyway...and I bet the tools that were sitting in front of me were the only ones to hand it in (they were holding their ears & wincing at the noise of the show, the crowd, & my screaming woo hoo! for Lukas - they were at a ROCK CONCERT for crying out loud!) Most people keep their ballots for souvenirs.

anyway, I digress. Lukas, Toby, & Magni were the best. IMHO. Plus seeing the tv performances doesn't do the live version justice. (Rockfan do you love me again? hee hee)

I'm not a Lukas fan - nor have I liked anyone's performances of "Marty songs" - until tonight - Lukas did Lithium quite well - definitely his best performance so far

Magni's I Alone made me want to go listen to Marty's version -- but Magni certainly has amazing vocal talent - he's the one I would like to see win.

I agree with Fly about Ryan's performance - and I enjoyed Toby's as well.

Somehow I just couldn't get into Dilana's performance - didn't give her any votes - haven't liked her take on any of the songs much -- and as far as Dave Navarro's statement that hers was the best performance from either season - I just have one thing to say --- M-A-R-T-Y!!!!

And my hometown gal Storm - I have the sinking feeling she may be the one to go this time -- she has outstanding vocal talent and I loved her song tonight - but it doesn't seem like Supernova likes her as well as the others. Sigh!!

This was definately the show I was waiting to see.

I really liked Lukas' performance which amazed me.

Magni-I loved it.. He really grabbed me. His was the only performance during which my ADD did not kick in. He's not "stellar" but I really love hearing and watching him sing.

Ryan-I loved it.. I think he really wants it and he puts a lot into it. What about Jason though..when he got booed.. it was like he was mad at the crowd..Umm people are watching and rooting for the rockers, not you.

Toby-Sigh.. I actually heard him this week.. I wasn't distracted by his looks, he was AMAZING. I think my favorite performance of the night.

Storm-I thought this was one of her best vocal performances and Toby was great.

Dilana-I didn't like it. I liked the first part because she used a different "voice" and it sounded good. Then she went back and lost me.

Encore/SN: I think it should be Toby or Magni.. Probably will be Dilana

I'd like the bottom three to be: Storm, Dilana, and Lukas (w/ Lukas only in there because I loved Toby and Magni..and Ryan helped Magni when he got cut. He doesn't really deserve it this week.)

Bottom three probably will be: Storm, Magni, and Ryan or Toby--Lukas and Dilana are probably safe based on fan base.

last night Everyone really put on great performances.
Truthfully, at this point it's hard to see anyone in the bottom
3 because no one really deserves it. I wouldn't mind seeing

The performance show has just ended here on Oz TV.

Lukas: sorry, just didn't like his version of Lithium, I can
understand why he was in the bottom 3 at the end of the show.

Ryan: I HATE Coldplay therefore poor Ryan was already gonna have to do an amazing job to win me over and I thought he did OK.

Toby: Rebel Yell was AWESOME, just loved every minute of it and also thought he did a great job of backing vocals for Storm.

Storm: I HATE Evanescence, therefore she had to work hard also to impress me and she didn't, I just couldn't wait til that song was done with. Sorry!

Magni: I thought he did a great job of I Alone, he is getting more comfortable every week.

Dilana: in one word YUK! I just can't look at her anymore and that comment from Dave Navarro about her performance being the best from both seasons pu--lease!!!! Are you for real

Bottom 3 this week for me should be; Storm, Lukas and Dilana.
But I know it won't be.

Magni's performance of "I Alone" was no way near Marty's rivoting performance (no one can ever come close to matching it) but Magni's vocals were perfect. Toby's and Ryan's voice sounded great. Those three better be in the top three.

Supernova has been asking and asking for them to step it up. This time they finally all came through. I enjoyed this show... the whole show.... for the first time.

Lukas - I was not looking forward to him rearranging a Nirvana song. Nirvana is an iconic band from my days and he could not even say Nirvana! And to say that he did not like them.... it is sacreligious in my opinion. With all that being said.... had I heard his version first, I would have loved it. All in all, I think he did well with it. Marty still did better with it.

Ryan - While he entertained me last night, I thought his vocals were way off.... especially the higher parts. I thought he was going to kill himself with that mic cord. He kinda spazzed out with that.

Magni - Again, Marty did it better but DAMN! He did really good. I am not a huge Magni fan. He has gotten me excited a few times but never like he did last night. I think he deserves the encore.

Toby - WOW I love him more and more every week. i used to love him for his looks but now I can really see his talent. More and more every week. I loved his new look last night too. I think the dark hair made him look dark and dirty. I like dark and dirty. I loved it when he pulled the girls on stage and I was jealous I was not one of them.

Storm - I was really worried about her doing this song. It is not her at all. Overall, I liked it. Her vocals were not the best on it but I thought she pulled it off in the end. The best part was having Toby help her out.

Dilana - Even through all the drama of last week, she is still my favorite. I mean, we all have our moments and loose our minds right? Say things that we wish we hadn't right? I can't hold it against her too much. I liked what she did with the song (even though I have never heard it till Jill sang it a while back). I think the only reason that Dave said what he did is to help her out with the votes. What the judges say can persuade the vote and she probably needs it after last week.

I can't wait to see the show tonight. (really I just wanna see Toby and his new hair again)


Modified to ask, what was up with the Miami vice jacket that Gilby was wearing?!?!? ;D

I agree. I’m visiting my mom this week, and made her watch Rock Star with me last night. During Magni’s performance, she was like, “wow…he sounds just like the real Live song,” which made me realize that that is what made Marty’s version so special last season. Magni is my favorite this year, and I thought he did really well with it, but whereas Magni sang “I Alone” well as a Live song, Marty made it into a Marty song.

I won't go into a full commentary on each person, but Magni, LOVED IT!

What's up with Dilana? Did she take speed right before her performance? It was over the top, manic, and way too much. I didn't enjoy her performance at all.

Lukas - I liked his arrangement of the sacred song, but his voice I still am not liking so much. He has such a limited vocal range that he can pull off.

I don't know what to say about this week. I thought everyone's performances were really good.

You all know I love Ryan, but Toby was seriously amazing last night! I loved his vocals with Storm and his performance of Rebel Yell.

Storm and Dilana were my least two favorite performances. I really think it's time for Storm to go.
