I'm cool with Lukas winning. I think he's the best fit, for sure.
BUT..I was surprised that they booted Toby before Dilana, though. She started to really bug towards the end.

Watching him then there with them made me kind of like their music(don't hurt me, or tell me I'm stupid, its my opinion). I was wrong about Toby being the best fit-Lukas gives them an edge they don't have otherwise. I thought he was beautiful with them, and I hope they have great success. I might even buy their CD, but not before I listen to it at least once. |

ok, so i had an epiphany, and i now realize why SN picked Lukas. Since you can't understand a flippin word he's saying, no one will be able to understand their idiotic lyrics!!! so people will just tap their toes, and hum along naively, and buy a bazillion records!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I do wish him the best though. |

I feel bad for his band.............wonder what they'll do now.......... Actually, from what I understand, he wasn't in a band when he came to the mansion. I don't know if that's true or not. |

There is a band Rise Electric that he was doing things with.... but he hasn't been with them very long....less than two years, I think. They do have a myspace.com page...but I am just not sure what the deal is with them. They are a trio...Lukas was the lead singer and guitarist and then there is a bass player and a drummer. He was in a diff band earlier that he had been with since he was fairly young....but I think they all went their separate ways 4-5 years ago. |

okay, first I am an idiot --which u all know already, but let me explain. Yesterday i discovered a gray hair (ok maybe more than 1) that necessitated an immediate intervention at the hairdressers, so I call and make an appointment for this morning --as it is clear on the calendar. Not until I am falling asleep do I realize that, of course, I did have plans --watching RS:SN. Oh well, I set the VCR and then got to come home and watch it sans commercials -- which certainly eliminates any of the tension.
So, the housekeeper is here and she says, "Oh is it the finale? Who won?" I said, "I don't know yet, but I think Magni will go first. It's really between Dilana and Lukas." So I watch and they eliminate Magni and the housekeeper (let's call her Alice like in the Brady Bunch) asks again who will win. I tell her that if Dilana could write songs, it would be her, but Lukas is a better songwriter, so probably him.
So it was Lukas. I think he is too cool for SN, really. I can't understand a word he says, but as gingin says, that is probably a bonus.
I am thinking that if they do another series next year --and you can sing and you're from Canada, you should go for it. There's something in the Molsen that makes reality show winners...
also --why did they not bring back all the rockers from the series?
and did it seem to anyone else that SN was faking it --that looked so lip-synched or something. Better check what the Leperpop boys have to say...
I miss Dave already. The goth wedding comment was too perfect.
I miss marty more. Not one performance this year equalled his worst from last year. *sighs*

I was pulling for Magni but have to agree he had the singing voice but not the dynamic stage performance. I just wish he had sang a different song besides "Fire" as there isn't much singing to that song but more guitar playing. He did seem "part" of the house band. I was in shock they let Toby go before Dilana  . Toby is a much better performer for the house band and I thought he was right for SN. You could tell though SN liked Lukas from the very beginning so the outcome doesn't surprise me. Will I pay to go see them in concert?.............no. |

For those of you who fast-forwarded through commercials... you missed it when CBS gave away the winner early.  Did anyone see the Survivor commercial featuring Lukas singing Head Spin?  I knew then that Lukas won... silly TV people.  Loved Lukas' lip gloss.  It was an entertaining finale (as entertaining as it could be without featuring past contestants  ) |

Now that you mention it GE, that was a pretty obvious sign Lukas had won with that Survivor commercial.  That glittery lipgloss did match well with his eyeshadow  . |

Very Disappointed. I don't know if I'll watch next year b/c two years in a row they made the wrong choice. I loved Toby and I really think he should have won!! I love the comment about not understanding Lukas=perfect fit!! When they played last night, I could hardly hear him and what I heard I didn't understand Agree that Storm and Toby are last year's Marty--I hope all goes well for them. Dilana didn't seem too excited to play w/the house band, but Dave on the CD should help. No biggie--Going to see LH in October  |

I'm gonna drink molsen and move to canada!! and i think you are TOTALLY right about SN lip syncing...i had the same thought...they didn't look like they were playing with the music. BOOOO! That's such crap. i was completely surprised that brooke announced they will have another season. wonder who it'll be?  |

btw, i too think it was a mistake to let toby go first. i would've gone to see him perform with the house band for sure (and left when SN came on.......) anyone else think jimmy from the house band is hot?

Yes, I caught that Lukas was singing for that Survivor promo....dead giveaway perhaps.
BTW, am I the only one who thinks:
1) Magni and Toby were "dumped" rather quickly with very little "fanfare". The part where Dilana and Lukas are told Lukas wins was not the original announcement, they appeared too calm (the announcement seemed SOOO anti-climatic--unlike the emotional-spiced finale for Marty and JD), I really believe this was a "second take". And this is why I believe this happened...
2) The footage of Lukas performing the songs with the "new" SuperNova band was OBVIOUSLY recorded earlier or later than the announcement of the winner. Lukas is wearing different sunglasses, Tommy Lee and the other boys are wearing lots of eye-makeup, not seen on them when the winner was announced. I did not record the finale so I am not sure if the clothes that Tommy Lee, Gilby and Jason were wearing were the same as in the earlier part of the show. My feeling is that the "recorded finale performances" ran too long and they re-shot the end (winner being announced) to fit the show into a 60 minute format.
Kimberly, Jodie or anyone who went to the finale show, will you confirm or deny my view of this? It's not a big deal, the finale show just bothered me for some reason...
3) SkunkBoy did nothing for me, however his voice range and stage presence were decent....If I pay for a ticket it will be to see Dave/Panic Channel, and Dilana sing with the phenomenal House Band (both opening acts, IMO, will be MORE entertaining than the "headline" band). If this band does not come to my city (and I doubt they will) I will NOT travel to another city to see them.
4) I will be surprised if there is a 3rd "RockStar" show...however, I wouldn't be surprised if CBS did air some kind of "singing/talent" show next summer instead.

I was very suprised to see lukas on the survivor commercial I wondered what that was all about, I was like what the heck does lukas have to do with survivor. Toby is great and I would prefer to see him instead of dilana open with the house band, but you say that they made the wrong choice 2 years in a row.........is having Marty still with the LH a wrong choice? Maybe Toby on his own will be the right choice .......like Marty .....if Toby won it would only hold him back........some one like JD  and diliana all need to be included for them to make it in the business.........although not so much lukas cause  don't tell any one .......I like him So think again Toby being able to do his own thing is a good thing just cause he didn't win lead singer of SN doesn't mean he didn't win............he will do well for sure  as for going to see SN I will go to see lukas but I will be fashionably late so as to miss the opening act  I'm sorry that I will have to miss the house band but that is SN's fault for putting dilana with them................ and as I recall I thought I heard Tommy say that on the tour they were going to have some of the eliminated singers join the house band for the tour, so when did that change and why? why just dilana or as I like to call her dilooney!!!!!! ok ttfn...........I've said my peace! |

I don't have all that much to say except...... As soon as Lukas sang Bittersweet Symphony, I believed he'd win. That was my favorite performance of his the whole season and I thought he sang it last night better than the first time. Oh, and I did like the lipgloss too.  I read in the paper this morning (just a short blurb) that a Calfornia judge ruled that Supernova cannot use the name Supernova on tour. Does anyone know anything more about this? |

no offense to the lukas fans but i thought last nights show sucked the whole season sucked from beginning to end.lukas may very well have a lovely personality but toby would have been a better fit at least you can understand what he says.thats 2 for 2 that the man who is better suited didnt win and i will be very surprised that there is a rockstar 3.if i were a woman trying out for the next one dont bother you wont win they pick a man everytime.im upset that they didnt bring anybody from the season back so they can celebrate together and no guest stars from last seaon i was very disappointed. go marty and toby love ya !
