Now that I am rational again I can see that they wanted Lukas all along. If he makes them happy and they feel like they are complete with him how could anyone deny him that? Good luck to them all. I just watched Toby and Magni and Dilnana's exit interviews and they seem pretty gracious about their lot in life but Magni's made me teary eyed. HE is just so cool and awesome that he has made lifelong friends with the last 5 and is grateful for all Rockstar exposed him to is soo cool. Good on ya Magni! I'll buy your CD you are a stand up guy. Good Luck to Toby too and Dilana I'm sure we haven't seen the last of you. I wonder who next years group will be??? Jilly

OK...to clear a few things up....since i was at the taping.......
1. Lukas did not lip synch any song that was sang...he does not need to do that. He is a talented performer. He had to sing the 1st SN song twice due to some "difficulties" w/ tommy's drum set. So he sang it LIVE twice. But there was no lip synching going on.....
2. The outcome was not done twice....the reason it was the way it was, is because that is the way it turned out. They were standing there (D&L) for a long time waiting for the outcome. everyone in the audience was screaming at tommy...yelling Lukas, or yelling dilana (what they showed on camera for 10 seconds was only for 10 seconds) this actually went on for a long time....them having to wait because the audience wouldn't let tommy speak...and Lukas didn't have a chance to get that excited or give a speech...he was a gentlemen and allowed Dilana to talk for as long as she wanted.(and it was a LONG time)..and he was behind her silently (so she wouldn't know) getting the audience to yell and clap for her as she gave her speech...then as soon as she was done...SN ran up on stage and they performed w/ Lukas. Lukas was very excited!
I know most people here are dissapointed that Lukas won...but a lot of people would have been dissapointed if he didn't win so.....
All I can say is that he is a talented, dedicated, creative performer that has worked very hard, and he TOTALLY deserves it.....just as Toby or Magni or Dilana deserved it as well.....it is just that he actually got it.
I applaud Lukas...and will totally try to see him in concert, and buy the CD....(I would not have done so if anyone else had won) But we all have our own tastes in music, in performers, in styles...that is why there is more than one radio station and more than one band. (Though apparently all of us here do agree on one band and one performer)
c'mon people, how can you not melt from that lukas smile......
LUKAS ROCKS!!!!!!! and I am so excited for him!!!!!!!!!

Amen to everything you said Kimberly. I am soooooooooo happy that Lukas won and can't wait 'till February 16th to see him with Supernova. Lukas had the most votes, so of COURSE he has the most fans! Or at least the most dedicated. I'm so glad they took that into consideration when it came down to him and Dilana. Toby was my other favorite, and that he and Lukas will be roomates for awhile is wild.

hello everyone! I just think there was allot missing in this season! and i mean allot. Rockstar:INXS was warm and loving, I made a huge attachment to Brandon, Mig, Suzi, Ty, and of coarse Marty! They were a huge family, and i think they all really loved the music. This season, i think the true winners are Toby, Magni, and Ryan, ryan is solo, and im sure the other two will ahve bands VERY soon. Dilana is very selfcentered and just obsessed with herself, she thinks she is so hardcore, lol, she isnt.! But they picked Lukas, and thats that. I think this season was more about Supernova, then the music. Before Rockstar: INXS I had NO idea who pink floyd, Queen, Nirvana, Radiohead, or any of them were. Rockstar made me love rock music, ever since i hsaw marty sing I Alone, barefoot. I was hooked, or Suzi, rockin out to Bohiemian Rhapsody! lol They loved the music, and i ahve so many performance memories of all of them, none from this season, none! I dont think Lukas can sing at all, he blocks his throat and ends up with this odd screaching noise, and to tell you the truth I dont think he would be freindly at all to meet or anything like that, he's more into putting on his makeup and hanging out with Tommy. All i can tell you is that when they come to Columbus, OH Feb. 2 , prob at nationwide or a big place like that, ill be sitting outside the Basement, with my "Get Live" Tshirt on, and rockinn with the lovehammers (If they would come feb 2 to columbus..please!!, lol) But thats that i love the lovehammers, like everyone else here, and im sure everyone else here would rather see the lovehammers and supern..... ug what was i sying, lol. ROCK ON MARTY!!

ROCK ON MARTY!! hmmmmmm..... well i have met Lukas and i can tell you he IS a nice guy. I have also seen him with other fans and he went out of his way to talk w/ them. A girl tried to walk over to him to say something to him while he was in the rockers pit and the giant security guard was literally pushing her away from him. he grabbed her hand as if to tell the security guard "it's ok...i want to talk to her" and he continued to push...so lukas comes out of the pit and walks down to where she is...and she tells him something, and he hugs her and walks back up.....that sounds pretty friendly to me. I think it is rude to make assumptions about people by the way they dress...(or how they wear their make-up ) I love to hear how dedicated you are to our beloved LH...but there are other bands/performers out there worthy for the same adoration.........I myself can love more than one band at a time.... There are several memorable performances from this season (for me anyway)....it is apparent how much the NEW rockers love music, how dedicated they are....RS INXS will always be great, because it was the 1st...but that doesn't diminish the talent or dedication of anyone that comes after that.... sorry to dissagree w/ most you have said...but we all have our own opinions.....(that is the best part of life....the diversity) also...i love lukas' voice...how raspy it is...and can understand almost everything he sings....so....... (guess i am the only one. ha ha ha) love ya.....sure to see you at hammerjam?

Now that I have a few spare minutes to sit down here are my thoughts on the outcome.
Lukas was in no way my favorite to win. He rubbed me all the wrong way in the beginning of the contest with his comments. I know that TV can edit you to look a certian way so I have tried to give him some slack but he still seems way too cocky to me. With that aside, I thought that he was a great performer. I do not really like his "style" but he did impress me.
Magni was just the opposite for me. I loved Magni's personality and the intesity that he sometimes showed on the stage but I was rarely impressed with his performing.
Dilana with her dark mysteriousness really blew me away all season. She lost me a bit with that whole press thing but she pulled me back in.
In the beginning I did not think he had a shot to win even though he was my 2nd choice from the start. But as the season went on I though the grew into a better performer and became more comfortabe on stage.
In the beginning I thought that Lukas, Dilana, Toby and Storm would be final 4 (I was close). With Dilana and Lukas being the best fit for the band. And I figured that it would be (for me) like last year, my favorite coming in 2nd to the one I wanted least to win (even though I knew he was talented). In the last few weeks though I still thought the final 4 would be the same but in the end it would come down to Toby and Lukas and it would depend on if the wanted the more intense guy or the fun loving guy. Yes, I am dissappointed that neither Toby nor Dilana won but I feel that they made a good choice. Lukas fits well with them.
But, did anyone notice that when Lukas sang the Hey Hey Ho Ho song (or whatever it is called) he totally missed a verse? He hummed and la la la his way through it. Am I wrong or is it supposed to be that way?

No...you are correct....He sang the song twice and was done perfectly (except for tommy's drums) the first time. But then (cuz of the drum kit) they had to re-tape it (the one that was shown on TV) he did skip a line....uh oh....so yes, you noticed correctly...ha ha ha. I guess they didn't want to do it for a 3rd time. ha ha ha
oh well......it's rock and roll. what's a line here or there...ha ha.

What I like about this show, is whether or not your favorite won, we all got the opportunity to be introduced to and sample new artists. It is so hard for people to break through even when they are talented. What is the chance that I would know about Lukas, Toby, Magni, Dilana, Storm or any of the other rockers but not for this show? pretty slim. We got to sample a range of new artists and if we choose to do so--now can learn more about them and watch to see how they capitalize on the experience.
I'm grateful that I saw the show last year and was introduced to Marty and through him Lovehammers. I'm glad no one stirred me to that level this year--or how would I have time to live my own life? (hee hee) But I hope to see these artists put out the best album that represents them and I look forward to checking many of them out.

I didn't watch last season to find out who the lead singer of INXS was going to be-I did it to find new talented musicians that I would want to hear, and I found Marty, Jordis and MiG. Its the same way with this season-I wanted to find new talent, and I'm glad I got a chance to be exposed to Storm, Toby, Lukas, Magni, and Dilana.

Interestingly enough, I did not care for the spin they put on Lukas in the beginning - I thought his whole persona was just what TLee needed, however. It wasn't really until we saw the rockers at the Roxy in July that I got to see how caring Lukas was with the fans and that side of him came out in the last RS episodes. (Of course that doesn't mean he can front the band, but just endears him to his fans - like Marty...) Regardless - I probably would not have picked him vocally to be the last man standing, but he listened and learned - just like Marty. And both were better performers for it. I'm also very glad that I changed my view on the others - Magni in particular! I didn't care for his 1st performance at all. But then we got to see his wonderful talent and wicked humor as it came out and he became one of my faves to watch. I will look for all of their music in the future and wish them all well, but Lukas was and is - well, what Supernova needs. I dunno - he just fits.

Well I am of the unhappy camper variety at the moment and not because I don't like Lukas, I think he is pretty cool and has an awesome image and like his music but DO NOT like hearing him sing with Supernova, it just doesn't sound right putting their two different styles together, plus that Hey hey hey song was Toby's, was it not? It fit him like a glove and sounded so cool with him singing it.
I just love Rockstar for the chance to hear new singers and their material and I am sorry Supernova (or whatever they will be called now) I will not be buying the CD after hearing Lukas sing with you. Now if Lukas brought out his own CD I would buy that!
Just saying my bit to get it off my chest. We can't all be happy campers all the time, but we can try.

Hey there, I was strolling through the rockband.com spoiler and episode discussion thread on page 51 and came across an entry by a gal from Iceland named Anne and her post about Magni is so cool. She directs you to a few minute long interview with Magni and an Icelandic reporter and she talks to Jason and Tommy and it confirms some of the things I thought all along and showed me how much they really like all the finalist and struggled with their decision. I tried to post the link and I cannot do it right so I refer you to the page instead. It is really a good interview and makes you love the Supernova guys and the rockers all the more. peace Jilly p/s if someone knows how to post that link.....Help me
