Thank you for sending that link--It did work!!! After hearing Magni and the reporter speak in their native tongue and then hearing Magni speak English--Wow!! He had so much more of a challenge--Kudos to him Someone mentioned how it must be hard to write in your non-native language and I agree. Tommy Lee should appoligize for being rude about his original song. It was interesting to hear that Jason wanted Magni and Gilby wanted Dilana. I guess Tommy got his way w/Lukas thanks again!!

Yes I do He's got a great voice too. Yes, I know...I've got his CD. Two of the songs on the album were co-written by Marty - "Do You Remember" and "Here is Now". They are awesome! In fact, I think all the tracks sound great.

Assuming the couple on the couch at the end of the video are his parents--boy does Magni look like his dad!

Magni to me is this year's Marty...a good guy all the way through, always helping out his fellow mates, and a gorgeous voice and personality to match. Though he wasn't my fave in the first show, but every show after he had wonderful vocals and performances and I think his original song is the best! Thanks for posting that video.

The songs are starting to grow on me. Even though I really wanted Toby to win, I have to say the Lukas sounds great on the tracks. I've got my tickets for Jan 27, 17th row center! I can't wait to see the entire show. SN (or whatever they are going to call themselves) were smart to include PPod and The Panic Chanel and houseband with the top 4 or 5. That way they are sure to get people to show up who didn't care for Lukas. But really, at the end of the day, I think they made the right choice. I'm interested to see him.

I have to say that I do like the "It's all Love" on the myspace. Lukas sounds good there. I can understand him. It's not that strained voice that turned me off listening to him.

Thanks for posting that link, Jilly. It was interesting to hear Tommy and Jason's thoughts and the other rockers.

I wish I understood Icelandic. The behind the scenes were real interesting. I am so happy for Magni that Jason wanted him to win. Magni mentioned twice that Jason was his hero growing up. Can you imagine your hero saying that you were one with him musically. I also have to say the rockers in the end did become very endearing to me. They really supported each other.

Hey Lukas sounds better than he ever did on the show. I'm so happy for him. Now you get a voice to match the performer.

Hey I'm glad you liked that video. I was surprised Tommy didn't hit on the girl from Iceland I was surpised that they all seemed to really care about each other too and it wasn't just for the cameras apparently? And no mention of Toby as a pick surprised me totally!! I have tried 2 times to play the link Cindy posted and cannot get it to work. It just comes up to a frozen myspace page. Help I am a computer dork Jilly

Well, same outcome as last year for me. Of the final 6, my least favorite won. Because the format is not looking for the most talented, but who fits best with the band, it is really a long audition that we are watching versus a contest. This year, I did not have a favorite, or feel any attachment to the artists. I will definitely see Lovehammers, and would also like to see Jordis and Mig.
I also did not know Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Killers, etc before the show last year. It really has brought great music back into my life and is a fun show to watch. Gotta luv it.

Hi, I was not jumping around in joy when SN announced the winner because I really wanted Toby to win this. Watching the webisodes, I really liked Lucas but as a singer and a performer I do not like him a bit. I am sure he is a great guy and he has many fans so I wish him all the best. I was also disappointed that Magni didn´t get the second or third place. But it was a tough fight, we all knew that . quote author=needalife board=rsi thread=1157725256 post=1158338182] Jilly, Thanks so much for sharing that link. I wish I understood Icelandic. The behind the scenes were real interesting. I am so happy for Magni that Jason wanted him to win. . If you are able to bear my English (all my grammar and spelling mistakes) I can translate the Icelandic part roughly for you but otherwise you should stop reading NOW . Magni was talking about how happy he is with this whole Rockstar Supernova adventure. He said that he is very happy with the outcome and especially happy for Lucas. He talked about how talented Lucas is, what a great person, friend and a performer he is and that he really needed the big change so much because of his background. Magni obviously loves him Ok, Magni was asked if he expected getting this far. Magni laughed and replied; Are you crasy, I expected to stay here for two weeks and I did´t made any arrangements at home. Everything is probably falling apart there now ha ha ha. The big news for me was when Magni talked about that he will be touring with the house band in January and they will even come to Iceland in December (this year). Hurra!!! Magni descriped how much he has grown as a musician for the past weeks, a better performer, singer, guitarist etc.. You may have noticed an old man on the video holding a card. He is one of Magni´s fans. Don’t you think it is awesome? The old man is 99 years old so people in all ages are obviously digging him. He sent this card to Magni as a luckcharm. Magni pointed out that he had the card on his guitar while he played with Supernova. Then Magni was asked about his band, Á móti Sól. He said that he will probably be performing with them after two weeks or so but until then he is not going to do anything except sleeping and playing with his son Marino. In the end of the video you can see Magni´s family. First his wife Eyrún. She talked about how happy she is getting Magni back. Then we saw his parents telling us how proud they are of their son. Well that´s it, hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting about Magni! He was my favorite and I was hoping he would win.
Do you have more information on his band? Do they have a website in English? How can Americans order their CD's?

Amy Hi Amy, Magni has been playing with his band since 1999. I don´t think that they have a website in English. At least their official website is only in Ielandic. But I believe Magni is going to change that soon after he arrives home. I shall check tomorrow if you can buy his CD´s online somewhere. I cannot find it now. Here is a link to their website. You just choose tóndæmi on the blue ribbon and then you should be able to listen to their music. Shortcut to: www.amotisol.is/template1.asp?pageid=206Until Magni attented RS SN he mostly sang in Icelandic but I am sure that will change now. The Icelandairs have been talking a lot about his singing and many are saying that he sings much better in English than in Icelandic. Therefore it will be interesting to see where it will lead him in the future.
