Some of my pics are up at the HM Fan Site on myspace from the Metro show. This show was an absolute blast! The guys were on fire. It was Larry's last official show as guitarist. The new guy, Ashoka Warrier, joined them on stage for the last few songs. It was intense with 3 guitars going. The guys were all over the stage. Love it!!!

I saw your pics and they're great . Did you sneak any video? Now, just wish Matty and the boys would come down here to my neck of the woods .

No video. I tend to only take it at his acoustic shows. Too hard to jump around and hold the camera steady. lol Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully, once the album comes out this summer they'll start touring. I'm hoping that this summer they'll coordinate a show the same weekend as LH. One on Friday, one on Saturday. That would be the ultimate weekend!!!

Here's another site to try to get HM featured on. Music Load is a website that features unsigned bands. Currently on myspace, they have posted a bulletin asking for fans to comment about their favorite bands. From the comments, they will chose their next feature. Here's the bulletin: Who is your favorite unknown artist or group? Dear Friends, It's once again time for MusicLoad. Com to feature some fresh new tracks and artists on MusicLoad. Com and on our myspace page at myspace. com/musicload and we are asking for you help once again to help us discover the hottest new thing around. Please drop us a public comment, which we prefer over replying to this message, because the world can see your plug as well and you never know who is reading our comment page. We are not greedy, we want to help spread the word. Thanks for you assistance is helping MusicLoad cop a great groove. Best Regards, Mariana MySpace Moderator for MusicLoad. Hey, all....First off, just wanted to say thanks so much for all your support. We've been really busy getting the final details of the label together and finishing three more tunes. These three are very strong and a bit heavier than the rest of the tunes on Downfall of an Empire, and should round out the record nicely. The new tunes are:
1. Best of Times 2. Say Something 3. Cancerous
in addition to the tunes we've already recorded:
1. Let it Go 2. Stuck in a Box 3. Standing 8 Count 4. I'm Not Well 5. Anchors Away 6. Glad You're Gone 7. No One Around (Modern Shakesperean Tragedy) 8. Do You? 9. Unrequited Love 10. Smile & Wave
So that will make for a 13 song record....plenty for folks to sink their teeth into when it's finally mixed and mastered.
Other than that, we're getting some merch in order (stickers, buttons, wristbands, shirts, etc.) and laying out a plan for an official release in late summer (August/September, most likely).
We appreciate all your help. Sorry if we haven't gotten back to y'all, but we're trying to get all this stuff in order as we're tired of sitting on the record and wanna get out ASAP!
See y'all at Double Door, hopefully.
Best-
HM

Intrigued by the "Modern Shakespearean Tragedy"...can't wait to hear this album!
Rockfan, I feel you on the "if they'd only come to our area" sentiment. I'm with Rachel on the ultimate weekend...that sounds like a plan!

New Matt Solo show announced at www.myspace.com/matthofferSeptember, 17 2008 at Matt Solo - Dominican University 7900 W. Division St., River Forest, Illinois OMG!!! It's 5 minutes from my house! I take my dogs for a walk there! I have no excuses to not be there I guess...LOL It's a beautiful old University with tons of cultural events throughout the entire year (including my favorite theater productions). Would love to see Matt on one of those performing stages!
