I hope someone in here can help me. I, like probably many of you, joined the INXS fan club last year so that I would get a jump on tickets to go see the LH when they toured. I forgot all about it until I got my credit card bill this week and they automatically charged me again for another year of the fan club! I went on to cancel and get my money back, but can't remember my password. I've e-mailed them twice and they still haven't sent me my password info. Does anyone have any info on how to contact them? 1-800 number maybe? Help!!! I can't afford to stay in their fan club for the rest of my life because I can't remember my password!

that sucks Henry. And it's a good lesson for all of us. A lot of these fanclubs and email accts will automatically charge you to renew. Most sites should automatically remind you of your password if you request it -- it should be sent to your email acct. Also, many are run by companies hired to manage the website. See if you can find out which company is handling the INXS fan club (it must be in the "small print" soemwhere) and contact them. And check your email inbox for password reminders. Good Luck! xo C

Yes, they will email it to you if you go here: login.inxs.com/resetpw/It took forever for them to activate my account after I signed up during the presale, so mine isn't due yet. I cancelled it a while ago, though.

Thanks girls. That's where I tried before shy, but I tried again (this will be the third time). I guess I'll just need to have patience. I'll give them until Monday.

Henry-
Go ahead and call your credit card company and tell them what is going on--they'll put a hold on the charge until you can get it resolved that is one of the benefits of using a credit card!

Keep after them, Henry. I kept sending help desk questions and emails for 5 weeks trying to get my account activated so that I could try to get presale tickets. By the time I was notified, it was too late. It was very frustrating. I tried using the email address support@inxs.com, but I think they only responded to the help desk queries.

sigh...I hate this. I'm going to give them until Monday, then I am calling the credit card company back and let them know I tried. When I spoke to them the other day they told me to contact the company. I guess they thought it would be easier too. Maybe if they put a hold on the charge, INXS will finally get back to me!

If you tell the credit card you have tried to contact the seller and they aren't getting back to you--the credit card company has to help you resolve the dispute. They'll do a chargeback to the club. You won't be stuck with it--if you stick to your resolve.

same thing happened to me Henry...I'm still waiting for the credit. In the meantime I cancelled that credit card as lost & have a new one (for next year anyway) - it's a last resort for future...please let us know what happens...

Well, INXS still never sent me the info so I called my credit card company back. They're going to give me a credit, but they also have to pay INXS too. I guess I will also have to cancel this card before next year so that they can't charge it again. This is ridiculous. Their site can't be this busy that they're not able to get back to people and give them the info requested. Huge companies get back to me within minutes! What a pain in the butt!

Henry--good that you got your credit and got this resolved! Don't let your credt card company tell you they are paying INXS --they aren't. They are issuing a chargeback to INXS. As someone who has a merchant account, I know that they will charge the amount back to INXS. It is part of the merchant agreement. Believe me it isn't the credit card company taking a hit! You are right that you will probably have to get a new card number issued before next year but you don't have to cancel the account --they'll just issue you a new number. But your account history will stay the same. Just tell they you lost your card and they'll issue a new one with a new number. It is a pain if you have any other automatic charges going to the card but so worth it not to pay for something you don't want! Sad that INXS doesn't have someone on top of their website! Happy you got it straightened out! CJ
