Marty eeeeeelectric

Just wanted to share with everyone that I loved when marty said eeeeeeleeeeectric right before he smashed his guitar
He was so awesome. Seeing him smash it was the highlight of the show. Eeeeeeeelectric! Love it. (Virginia, girl this is for you, too).

I was at that taping and he was more beautiful in person than I ever could have imagined.

I have to share my disappointment and sadness that I almost got a hug from the GOD himself. I was standing right by the rockers pit and I called out "Marty" and he looked right at me and I asked "Can I have a hug?" he said yes with a wink (sighs) and he was on his way when the security let me just call him meanie practically tackled him and said NO!

I wanted to bop him in the nose. Marty being the sweet angel he is said...we'll sneak it in later. Ah be still my Of course it didn't happen and I didn't have the nerve to ask again...didn't want to seem like a looney, but I will take away with me the memory. Oh so close (BBE you know what I am talking about)

So Marty if you read this...You owe me a hug I flew all the way from Florida for it and for you.

I'll be waiting...

Hey Sweetcheeks, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about when he says eeeeeelectric! I loved it too and I'm so glad I've kept that episode and the last episode on my DVR! My husband is wondering how long I'll keep it on the list and I don't have any planes to delete it anytime soon. I want to keep going back and listen to him say eeeeeelectric.

Oh my god, I'm laughing so hard. We are so f**king CRAZY about Marty. .I mean, this site makes me feel so much better because, really, I thought I was going insane. But you guys DO notice these things too.

Anyway, YES YES YES, that is my favorite performance of his. (see the other thread) It's hard to explain, but he just seemed even more alive that night. And yes, I have that on my Tivo..I may or may not have just finished watching it, in fact.

We crazy gals have to stick together. We are all reading eachothers minds when it comes to Marty.

I wish I could have gotten a piece of the guitar he smashed. Some lucky people did. It was so funny the first piece of guitar thay handed him to sign looked like a toothpick...it was hysterical. Somehow he managed to fit his name on it. There was a guy there who had a I hearty Marty t-shirt needless to say he got a lot of slack for that. They accused him of being in love with him. Can you blame the guy?

I am jealous of the girl who DID get a hug. A big one, too. Full bear hug. That depressed me

Of course she had some help from the warm up guy. They did a Q&A she got to ask a question and it was for a hug so she got. Darn!!!!! I swear it lasted forever. I was green with envy.

This is such a cool forum. My friends were genuinely concerned for me because I couldn't stop talking about Marty. They would just start laughing and told me I needed serious help. I still think one day I will meet him even if it's just to give a hug, O my, you'd have to be picked me up off the floor, or get his autograph.

Hey hey. It's nice to know when you are in good company - like the Marty crazies on this board! Me included! I don't have DVR or TIVO but I managed to tape some of Marty last performances on RS. Including where he says "eeeeeeelectric" I love that too. :-D
