These are the songs I would love Marty to sing: Pictures of You & Just Like Heaven by The Cure, Somebody by Depeche Mode, Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul, & Mary, Bridge over Troubled Waters & Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel, Melt with You by Modern English, Don't You Forget About Me by Simple Minds, Crash & Stay by The Dave Matthews Bands, I wanna be Sedated by The Ramones, With or Without You by U2...he can sing any song to me and I'd just be so happy.

Sherry, sorry I haven't been here in a few days. Am going to download Bother and Mother tonight. Will let you know what I think. Cheers.

Sherry, helloooo... well finally listened to those songs. I really love Bother, what a beautiful song. Like you say quite dark though - if Marty sang that he'd have to break out afterwards with an energetic screamy one I think. Mother is pretty cool too but you know what, I hate to say this but I can actually hear JD singing that one as it is, Marty would work his magic and put his own spin on it. Thanks for the two new REALLY interesting songs. Seems we may have similar taste in music (and men!!)

Painted Black - Rolling Stones
I hear that LH performs this in concert and well I want to hear Marty's version of it!
Also...
Doesn't Remind Me - Audioslave

I'd like to hear him do "I'm on Fire" by Springsteen - except a bit edgier and maybe add some of his own lyrics to make it longer.

I love that song but never would have thought of Marty doing a Springsteen song, but we've heard him take some great songs and make them his own. I'd love to hear his intense falsetto on the "wooo hooo" parts.

Today, I was listening to a couple of my Lenny Kravitz cds and I would like to see/hear how MC/LH would do with any of these L. Kravitz songs... American Woman, Are You Gonna Go My Way, Minister of Rock n' Roll, and the lovely song Calling All Angels.

"She's Not Here" by Eskobar. I recently heard it for the first time, and immediately thought, "Marty should sing this."

I thought I had already posted on this. Someone may have already put this one down, but I'd like to hear him sing "She Talks to Angels" by Black Crowes. I can hear the passion.

I was listening to my Live CD, throwing copper, and I've decided that Marty could rock anything by Live --- I'd love him to prove me right with Lightning Crashesand The Dolphins Cry.

I was listening to my Foreigner's Greatest Hits cd on the way to work, and as soon as I heard "Urgent", I thought that Marty would do this amazingly...it would be HOT

Switchfoot's acoustic version of "Stars"... my heart skips a beat when this song comes on the radio... singer's voice reminds me of Marty!

I'd love to hear MC sing "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam. I know he could pull of EV's intensity. Frankly, I'd like to hear him sing any Pearl Jam song. ;D
Also, I love it ;)when he sings with that faux british accent. Has anyone else noticed that about him?

yeah chitowngirl, it's what makes the Bowie connection even stronger -- adn it was what made his version of Don't Change soooo cool. In fact, It's gonna be weird to hear JD sing Don't Change. I think INXS should ask Mahhty to reprise it during hte tour!

I totally agree with the Bowie connection as far as MC's voice, but I don't agree with people that think MC looks like Bowie. MC has a look all his own. ;D

Even though I was happy with the end result of the show, I'd still love to hear Marty sing some INXS songs. Maybe because I spent so much time picturing him doing them during the run of the show. I was sooo disappointed that, in the finale, they asked him to sing the only INXS song he'd already sung in the show.
The week when JD, Jordis and Ty were all 'underwhelming' I thought 'Marty could sing that better for each of their songs. The song 'Need you tonight' is about someone panting with lust and that's the song I'd most like to hear from Marty, esp. the line 'make me sweat'. I sweat just thinking about it.

everlong -- I was disappointed that Marty sang Don't Change again too. As much as I LOVED that performance and WYWH, I was disappointed that we didn't get to see a NEW performance on the finale. Also, as much as I loved Marty the entire season, I always wondered if he was right for OBINXS. I was beyond happy when he sang Don't Change and obviously that solidified him, but I would have liked to hear him sing another too... But, that's all over now and all that's important is what Marty is doing now.

I think Marty would do a great job doing "Hey, Jealousy" by the Gin Blossoms
