I've stated a few in the other thread about songs he should sing... but I keep comming up with songs that he should just leave alone...
Recap...
Sweet Child O' Mine -- GNR In The End or Numb -- Linkin Park
They should just stay away from songs done by Supertramp altogether...
Others?

LOL! I think it'd be best if he (and his band) stay clear of anything "pop" (those songs that involve boy-bands, Britney/Jessica/Ashlee/Christina)...I'd also stay clear of most things country and rap (could you see Marty goin' pimpin' ghetto? Me neither). I actually kind of want to hear his version of Pretty Vegas...I bet he could really rip it up if given the chance - it might even make the song tolerable for me.

The thing about that is that Marty would not need the megaphone to get the voice/sound effect... and the 'poser' does... Marty would bring a better version to the table without 'sound effects' to enhance his voice.

Well, they should definitely stay away from "It's a Small, Small World". Seriuosly, I would like to hear him do some Rod Stewart - they would suit his vocals. I think if he sang "Pretty Vegas", JD would have to drop it from his repetoire.

I don't think I will ever be able to hear anyone else but Marty sing "Don't Change" now. So that's a reverse of the topic of this thread--it's a song NO ONE else should ever sing but him! ;D

To keep with the theme...Marty, please never sing gospel! (Don't get me wrong, Creed's "Arms Wide Open" was awesome, but it's better if you stop there.)

I'm hoping they don't do any covers (although an angry version of "I'm Not a Girl" by Britney sure would fill me with perverse joy). I'm just looking forward to hearing more of their original music. I'd love to hear them live too, but I don't foresee any tour dates in Halifax any time soon.

I don't think Marty (or the Lovehamers) should sing any more Creed songs. He did a good job on Arms Wide Open, but I really can't stand Creed and I don't want Marty tainted by any more of their crappy songs.
