You know...I bet they'd actually come - they seem like the type...they also seem like the type that would crash on some random fan's couch if their initial arrangments (whatever they may be) fell through. ;D
...Now, which one of us would have the guts to invite them?

From what I've heard, after past shows they've invited the audience to parties at their house or a bar. I think those days are long gone, but it couldn't hurt to invite them.
BTW- I do live in town. I have 3 couches & a guest room. Just in case. lol.

Can I be in on the partying too? ...I'd hate to be left out only to discover that one or all of the band members actually showed up! ;D
- Wow! Just the idea of partying with fellow Marty/LH fans anywhere near the band is almost too much to bear...I wonder how waiting4mc/Karen kept herself under enough control to speak full sentences?!? ;D

Of course! We'll just start a thread here about doing a Boston pre-show party.  For any of the fans from the board coming to the show at least. Someone would need to figure out how to let them know a bunch of fans are having a party. Any ideas?  |

How about posting a message to the band over at the LH site? And it would be cool if fans in every city did the same thing! I'd love to go to a Marty Party in NYC! That would be my suggestion...I know that they don't always respond to all the board posts, but my guess is that at least one member of the band would read the post. (And I think it's a wonderful idea for fans from every city to throw a Marty Party...the more the better!  |

Wow! thanks for the link to that article. Really nice story. The author said she's basing the main character of her next novel on "scary conductor" Marty. I look forward to reading it. Her current novel has received excellent reviews on amazon.com. |

where are you coming in from, and where are you staying before the metro concert? husband is bringing me from east central Illinois, and there are a bunch of us staying at the Days Inn Lincoln Park and talking about meeting up ahead of the concert. i'm going to be 47 the day before the concert, so i know how you feel about getting to this age and feeling like a teenager all over again. except, for me, i never felt anything like this even as a teenager! oh no, pre menopausal hormones are SO MUCH WORSE! ;D

OK, Karen, I too am so sorry about the picture thing. However, close your eyes for a minute and think back - what did he feel like? Soft hands? Calloused hands? Firm handshake? What did he smell like? Could you smell shampoo (or everyone's beer around you)? The sense of smell is a very powerful one! Did he lick his lips when he talked to you? OOOO there would be a memory!
As far as girlfriend goes, I really don't want to know. I am enjoying my fantasies for now and I don't want some girl popping into them asking MC if he's taken out the garbage yet!
