Did I just hear a clip of MARTY's "Take Me Out" right before Woody Harrelson was introduced? ?? And I just heard it again as they went to commercial. COOL!

Are you sure it was Marty and not Franz Ferdinand?

Nope, I'm not sure. I had never heard that song other than Marty's version on Rockstar. In my world it WAS Marty, lol.

LOL I feel the same way every time I hear Mr. Brightside on the radio. Because I never heard that song before Marty, it just seems like a pale, watered-down version. And then I have to go listen to Marty sing it, just so I feel better.

I feel the same about Mr. Brightside Penny. The lead singer of The Killers really doesn't have a good voice. It's a good thing he's so pretty.

I was in Best Buy recently and heard Mr Brightside. I thought for sure it was Marty. Then I realized they don't have that music there even and that they do have the Killers CD so that must have been them. It doesn't sound the same at all. Not sure why I thought it was Marty. Wishful thinking I guess. ;D

I have listened to all the originals of the songs Marty did and IMO he did each and every one of them better. Too bad he can't do a "full" version of each song on a cd, I'd buy it.

Have to disagree with rockchick about the lead singer from The Killers not having a good voice. Brandon Flowers has a great voice and if you haven't listened to the whole Killers album you are really missing out on a great rock album. Give it a try. I have been a Killers fan for ages and knew Mr Brightside very well before Marty sang it on RS INXS. I loved Marty's version as much as or maybe a little better than the Killers version as it was a little 'edgier'. I reckon Marty would do a fabulous job on another Killers song titled 'All these things that I've done". Marty would be awesome on that song! Helen.
