About a week ago my husband actually came over to me and asked me if I was going to leave him for Marty. I looked at him to see if he was serious. He had a very serious look on his face. I wanted to laugh my a$$ off. I thought are you serious? I have never met him before. I just love his music and think he's really hot and put his picture up as my wallpaper. What would make you think that. Then my brain actually went to, do you really think I would have a chance and I felt hopeful. The whole situation was pretty funny actually. Then after that I thought. I have about as much of a chance of that as winning the powerball lottery for $354,000,000.

that is too funny, mchell! My husband seems worried too. He said to my sister, 'I don't know what's wrong with her. She's really into this guy." I had thought I was keeping it under control, but I guess I have failed. Oh well, it's always good to keep the hubbies on their toes!

Wow you are really from Hong Kong? It's amazing how Marty has brought people together from all over the world. It's great!!! That's just more competition for me though......hehe.... just kiddding.
Yeah I can't believe my husband actually said that. I seriously wanted to laugh but he looked so serious I did not laugh. I just looked at him and laughed internally. ;D

Aw, you must have a sweet hubby. You need to give him a special hug and whisper sweet things in his ear....but don't say "Marty" when you do it!!!....lol

I have had the same thing happen, as I was on the message boards, my husband said are you in love with this guy? I looked at him trying not to laugh and said well I don't really know him! he even sent me flowers and said they were from marty casey, that really made my day! He is really worried and is asking me for dates, like I would even have a chance with marty! this is all too funny how much we all love Marty.

I've been wondering when my husband was going to hit me with that question. Luckily he is almost as big a Marty fan as I am. It's the 3 & the 6 year olds we are worried about - they are constantly singing Marty songs. The loveseat is officially the stage.
I think we should all just enjoy thsi moment to the fullest!

Keep the faith, rockbeast! Not ALL of us can have Marty. Besides, I'm already married - to a beautiful dark haired (at least it used to be! Now it's dashingly silver/white/grey/dark brown!) dark brown-eyed man. So just keep up your rockbeastly 'tude and I'll bet there'll be a rockbeast-ette out there for you!

Gosh your posts cracked me up! I guess I found it funny cos I'm pretty sure my husband thinks the same too though he hasn't mentioned it. I try not to mention Marty's name too much. But when I told him today that I might go to Hong Kong to see Marty in concert, he looked at me as if I was mad!

Well, I don't know if the mods will allow this on the board, but here goes. I bought my tickets to the Denver show and told hubby he's going with me. He hasn't even heard the Lovehammers. SO, I ask him if he wants to be my date even though I'm going so I can see Marty in person. He says, "Oh, Marty and the lovebangers or whatever they are?" I say, "It's the Lovehammers - used to be the Swinging Lovehammers." He replies, "You don't need a swinging lovehammer when you have a dragging jackhammer right here at home," and he walks toward me like he's dragging something really heavy.
Sorry, mods - it was cute. Our poor hubbies don't know what to make of our Marty lust...quite frankly, I'm not sure what to make of it, either!

I have no problem with my hubby worrying about my Marty lust. I hide my obsession from him completely...
I think he WAS a little bewildered by my anxiety about getting good seats to an INXS show, though. Hee...

Well, I must say I am in good company here with all you ladies who love Marty. My hubby too got jealous when I voted for Marty 400 times, visited the other message boards hourly, post things I don't want him to read, downloaded hundreds of pictures...and Marty is frequently on my computer desktop. It's all in good fun. But what really makes him mad is he can't go to the concerts with me because they're at a casino and he has to stay home with our under-age daughters! I'm hoping he can at least come out to join me on the last night for a little gambling or something...
