My husband doesn't seem to mind that I am TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH MARTY. He even drove me all the way from SF to LA to see him in RockStar. I think I was the oldest one there so I guess hubby doesn't have a thing to worry about. Even though, I did hear Marty say "he likes older women". But not married women likes most of us. Sigh! Funny thing is hubby was on TV from the taping of that show and now he loves the Lovehammers. Says there the best rock band he's heard in a really long time. So.....I guess you would say we both love Marty. Have a great weekend everybody.

damn, why is it that all the married women are into marty, I was planning on finding my future wife at a LH's show. LOL I can and WILL play second fiddle to Marty, and I will even bleach my teeth and dye my long curly hair blonde. LMAO I'm not married and into marty. |

 MY love watched INXS with me and liked Marty and MiG. He is a pretty tolerant person and knows that I appreciate Marty and the LH mostly as musicians and people. The eye candy factor is a plus, but if Marty had behaved like a Major League...egomaniac, as "some other contestant", I would have never liked him. However, when it came to going to the show to Oakland my guy drew the line.

hahaha! My husband informed me today, (after he found out that my best girlfriend and I are going to lincoln city OR to watch the Lovehammers open for INXS...and after listening to me squee on a weekly basis about Marty during the show) that I had to bring a pair of his tighty whiteys for Marty to give to Suzie with a note attached as follows.
Dear Suzie,
Both my wife and I made lists of celebrities that we are allowed to sleep with without repercussions. You are on my list and it is only fair that I get the chance to act upon it since my wife was able to cross state lines in order to meet Marty and cross him off her extensive wish list.

well, as most of you ladies my husband is also going nutty about my new obsession. he told me to "get that crap off the computer" referring to my Marty wallpaper. Jealousy?! He can't be too upset though since he has pictures of half naked girls hanging in our DINING ROOM! okay so it's only one and we never eat in there but still.....
I think we could be swingers...it'd prolly work out

Had to jump in. I've never looked twice at a man since I got married 16 years ago. During RS INXS, my husband was out of town for most of August and a couple of weeks in September. Marty was such a lustful distraction for me. When he came home he saw the wallpaper, heard the CDs I burned, and heard my incessant ranting over Marty Casey everyday. Finally he said, "I'm jealous! You are infatuated with this man." I told him not to worry too much but there would come a day when I would meet Marty... And if I never came back to give the kids my love!

I WAS A teeny BIT CONCERNED ABOUT MY MARTY OBSESSION/INFATUATION... TILL I SAW HOW MUCH MY SWEETIE WAS ENJOYING THE SHOW AND HIS MUSIC TOO... I ORDERED BOTH CD'S FROM THE LOVEHAMMERS SITE - SOMEHOW THEY DISAPPEARED BEFORE I COULD EVEN RIP THE PLASTIC OFF. I FOUND THEM IN HIS SUBURBAN!! HE ALREADY KNOWS THE WORDS TO THE SONGS... MAYBE I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT HIM ;D

My hubby is such a sweetie and very patient. We celerated our anniversary the other day and I promised myself I wouldn't bring up MC. I blew it. However, I covered myself really quickly and told him that he reminded me a lot of Marty - which is the truth. Went into long explanations of that since I've thought of lots of them over the months. I think he was actually feeling pretty good about it when I finished. Good recovery!

It's sort of scary how we are living parallell lives.
Hubby was really into rockstar, but I hid the Marty lust and for the longest time hid all my Marty computer time. He must have seen right through me because he put Marty singing Lithium as my wallpaper. But, alas, the jealousy bug bit him and he took off the wallpaper (he replaced it with something really cool that I would never want to change).
I think he does realize, though, that his life has become, hmmm how do I say this without giving away too much, a lot more "active" then it was prior to August. I no longer hide the computer though because, well, um, see prior sentence!
How can Marty give me butterflies when I've never met him?
Ten guys I would like a free pass with:
1. Marty (surprise!)
2. Ewen McGregor
3. Daniel Day Lewis (especially if he dressed like Last of the Mohicans)
4. Jude Law
5. Orlando Bloom
6. Johnny Depp
7. Edward Norton (love his skinny bod)
8, 9, and 10 I'll have to ponder.
