I've been saying this to a few people the last couple of days and After watching Franz Ferdinand on SNL, I have to say that Marty's "Take Me Out" was unequivocally better! Marty brings so much to the table. He' s engaging, and charismatic, and I can't wait to see him in concert.

I missed that SNL, but I have to agree his performances are so much better that the originals in most cases. Everlong, definitely. Ditto Mr. Brightside. Creep, no question. I said before I've heard other covers, including Stone Temple Pilots, AND the original, and Marty blows them all away. Someone said on another thread that when he did Creep it occured to her that no other contestant could have pulled that off. I totally agree.

Yes... but the question is how are they sounding now that the Lovehammers are doing the music without all the sound enhancements that you get with T.V.?
You know what I mean... some bands sound killer on their album where they are able to edit the content... but sound shitty when live...

The true test always come when a band does a live performance. It will be interesting to see if they do any of these covers he did on RS (I myself will be yelling for Creep!). I'm looking forward to reading fan feedback/reports on the first few concerts. I won't be seeing them until they play LA. How much time will they get? Will they get encores? Just what, exactly, does Marty mean by taking "risks" on this tour? Also, I can't wait to hear some new recording with LH showcasing Marty voice. Some of the material recorded before, while great, would sound better with the screamy parts a little smoother IMO. They will have the more resources for recording now (better studio, etc.). Plus, I wonder if Dave Navarro was serious about working in the studio with them? I didn't know about the LH until I found Marty on RS. I can't wait to see these guys live. I've just caught the video on the website.
