Every morning as I wait for my train I listen to this contest and all along I've been wondering when Marty would call in. And when he finally did I realized why he is going to go so far in the business. He was honestly been the sweetest one of all the celebs who have called in. The way he thanked THEM at the end and then thanked them for all of their support of him shows what an upstanding guy he is. I hope he and Chris win this thing.

Marty sounded so humble and friendly in the call-in. I'm pretty excited about the new album and hope my local CD shops will not take long to bring it in! I'll definitely keep a look out for it come Jan 31st.

Cindy, thanks for the link and for getting this on the website so quickly. I called The Mix this morning after reading the board to see if Marty would be included in the highlights show tonight. I'm grateful that you were able to get this from the radio station today to share with all the fans. Once again, Marty is just an amazing guy - he sounded so sincere and grateful. It was great to hear Marty with an update on the band. I just about died when I heard they will be shooting the Trees video at the Metro - can't wait for the show!

Maybe Marty shouldn't be sticking the mic in anyone's face. He might hurt himself. Did you read this post from the LH site? He's responding to questions about why he was in a garbage can during a recent LH show.

Comments: I don't have any clue why I jumped in the garbage can. It was sitting there and I wanted to stick the microphone in some girls face cause she knew all the words and the garbage can was in the way. So I figured, F* It! I rarely remember much of the set after it is over. I just hear the music and let myself go. No plan and no rules. Just lose it, have a good time and bring everyone else into the energy.

After all, that's what combat boots are for. Walking through all kinds of messy s*.
