I certainly hope that Marty reads this thread. He cannot, cannot, ever, ever, know how we feel about him. when I read Frannys first post i applauded. Hey, someone feels the same way as I do. then as i read further and further I realized that I am with a huge crowd of people who feel the same. Marty has not crept into my life, he has leaped into it. He has caused me to become the dreamer and idealist that I thought was gone. Thank you Marty. We certainly love you. Jean, the world has expanded because you are in it.

I just find it amazing how many years they have been playing and now here they are, amazing. Shame on the recording business for not discovering the Lovehammers. They are an awesome band with their music and awesome down to earth guys to spend time with. Man I am so glad the Lovehammers are here now. I really appreciate the music that they give to this world.

why not Marty? why not Now? But Dear Lord, why Trees? I don't get why that is the first release or first video??? It should be Straight as an Arrow or Eyes can't see. Someone help me understand why they are trying to ruin Lovehammers with that move? I like the song but its the one all my friends hate and Never choose as the one they like or even want me to play in the car....help whats up wit dat???

Someone help me understand why they are trying to ruin Lovehammers with that move? I like the song but its the one all my friends hate and Never choose as the one they like or even want me to play in the car....help whats up wit dat??? Jilly the answer is quite simple. Marty performed Trees on RS:INXS to millions of viewers, who now instantly recognize the song. At the time it went to #1 on MSN and stayed there quite awhile. As passionate as we are about the band, most people do not know LH. Using Marty's name and the song he played on TV is a calling card --it is a PR move that makes sense, even if it isn't their greatest song or even typical of their material. It's worth bearing in mind that this is a band that, although together for years, is still in its infancy. They must use whatever they can for publicity, recognition, etc. That's why street teaming is SO important. As far as what your friends will listen to in the car, well, you can always hit the Skip button...

amen to that, lol. marty helped me discover my love for music he opened the doors for me to meet pink floyd and radiohead, which led me to who i am today, music absessed ever since i heard his version of wish u were here, and it is still so close to my heart. I have researched and downloaded and discovered more than 150 rock bands that i never knew igsisted sice then then, and i thank you. but i did lose faith in marty near april. But then retook it over the summer, with cds and dvds of rockstar, and better 8/17/06 when i went to my first rock show, the lovehammers, it freed my soul once agian, and relinquished my love for music, and the lovehammers. There show was mazing and i totally lost myself jumping and singing allong with ppl that knew the lyrics of the lovehammers, and meeting them and getting hugs was a wondeful expiriance. love u all ~Rachel

Whoa....all of these messages TOTALLY say how I am feeling. I thought I was being an obsessed fan....is this what it was like when Elvis came on the scene? ? Or the Beatles? Marty Casey and the Lovehammers have something incredible....and it has given me my passion back. I may be middle aged and "boring" (according to my teenaged sons) but I rock. I know I do....I am young again and having a great time. I can hold my own when it comes to rocking out with Marty and Lovehammers. This is an incredible site to visit -- everyone really does seem to connest and know EXACTLY what each other is feeling. THANKS TO EVERYONE.

Marty and the LH have done the same thing for me ... I'm listening to music a whole new way, and with much more enthusiasm than I have in years. I go to a lot more shows, too, and not just LH ... I'm seeing Roger Waters tomorrow night! I wouldn't have considered going before.

I have been lurking for a long time and just recently joined. This is the first time I have seen this thread and am blown away. Franny2 - thank you for putting into words what has been in my head. I am a middle aged person and lost the music in my life for a long time. It is so great to have it back. I have L'Strange, MOMM, and MCLH on my MP3 and play it constantly. I actually had to buy an MP3 and learn how to downlaod the music so I could have Marty and Lovehammer music. Everyone on this site seems so great and I hope to get to know folks. I have not been to a concert but hope to go this year. Really do not want to go by myself. Thanks to everyone for sharing so much. And here I thought that i was going insane. If I am, I see that I am in very good company. Well, this is my very first post, so let's see if it ends up in the righr place.

Welcome bostongirl - this is the perfect place for your post - I was another one who recognized my own feelings in the words written here (my post is on page 7) - and who was awakened to great music thanks to Marty and Lovehammers (and my sweetie).
Don't worry about going to a concert alone - with HammerHeads you are never alone!! These folks are great about making sure your first Lovehammers concert is an Amazing Experience!!!
I will be traveling all the way from Oregon to Chicago in October for HammerJam - not only to see this great band live once more (I did get to see them perform with INXS in January, but didn't get to do the meet-and-greet) and in hopes of meeting the guys -- but also to have the time of my life meeting all my new friends from the boards!! Can't wait!!
Hope to see you posting often - just jump in anywhere and share.

Hi Bostongirl,
I agree with Oceancat ... don't worry about going to a show alone! You will meet some of the nicest people. And HammerJam is going to be a total blast!!!

Thanks Oceancat and wendyc122. My daughter is getting married on October 14th. Think she will miss me ?? Only kidding. I really, really wanted to go to HammerJam. This is the first band that I have actually followed their music and progress. Not usually my thing, although I love music. It is like a drug. Not sure where it is going to take me, but sure that it will be better than where I have been.

Hi bostongirl,
Sorry you will miss HammerJam, but maybe the boys will hit Florida when they go on the road again. And congratulations on your daughter's wedding.

Wow.... I just read most of this thread for the first time. The same feelings I have about Marty have been expressed so eloquently by all of you.
And I thought I was the only one who felt myself well up with something like pride mixed with love when I saw Marty on RS. It even happens if I watch one of his performances on tape.
And when I saw LH live last month, it happened again, only stronger. There is something I have been missing in life... I didn't know about it until Marty. And I'm still trying to understand it.
Like you, I felt like he was singing to me at the show. I didn't feel intimidated, but I felt empowered. It was as if that common bond that we all have was acknowledged. The soul-part of him spoke to the soul-part of me. And just thinking about it now makes me feel it so clearly.
It is so great to have found so many others who get it in the same way that I do.
Thank you all for your honest expression of this magical thing we have all felt. It is enough to move a person to tears... And thank you, Marty, for being you....and showing us how to live.
