Franny and Palari, You both put into words all that I am feeling. I am so thankful for everyone here - without you all I think I would feel like I am losing my mind. I have never felt like this before - NEVER. There is music in my life again - for the first time in so long. Hey Penny, I know exactly what you mean. My life has colour and music again too. I didn't know I was missing it until it came back...I am not letting it go again...

. . . but in love with who Marty was as a person and as an artist . . . with what he stood for and what he gave, and with the insane heights he reached in his performances. I loved the way he managed to get inside my soul, to all the secret places I had caged up long ago - probably because I had other things to do. Around the time I started to fall in love with him, the cage doors had already started rattling and by the time Rockstar was over, whatever had been in that cage was in full, headlong flight. I had a burning drive to do . . . something. . . . We've seen the blossoming of a star . . . it's going to be a wild trip and I really want to be a part of it . . . so I'm here to ride the wave. And also to say . . . Thanks Marty, for having the courage and dedication to go after your dreams . . . Wow, f**king Wow!! franny2 you have put into words what so many of us have probably been feeling. Marty and the guys have made me excited about music again. I'm nearly 50 but I now know that there is truth to the saying, "you're never too old to rock and roll." The awesome "family" we feel a part of is what makes this so special. Every time I login there are more and more new members. Do you remember in the movie "Close Encounters" where Richard Dryfuss is asked why he is there (at the Devil's Tower) and what brought him there? How many people had made the connection but couldn't make it through or didn't make the psychic connection? This sounds kind of silly, but I think, how many of us are out there and don't know about this or the LH board (and others)? Once the boys go on tour and come out with their CD I think there are millions of "us" who will be there to help propel Marty and the band into the super HUGE rockstars they become as they step out onto the world stage. We HAVE seen the blossoming star and, I think, are all proud to be there to see it all happen for this wonderful man who has brought us so much. Wow, I must have had too much coffee today. I'll shut up now.

Wow everyone been writing things that I've been thinking and feeling. There really is a connection. I was pondering the whole thing (instead of working as usual ;D ) and I think part of it, for me anyway, is that Marty and LH were still working their butts off to make their dream come true even though they are, like me, in their early 30's. A time were many people feel like they have to pack it in and give up on the dream...I see a lot of people on this board say they "forgot" they loved music so much. Maybe we're trained to think once we hit a certain age that kind of stuff isn't important. An "adult" has many more things to occupy their time. Fortunately for me I had a role model (62 year old hard rockin' mommy so I never gave up the music obsession but I was close to caving in and giving up on what I really want to do...Yeah it's a little cheesy but in a small way Marty, LH, and many of the other RSINXS made me see that as long as you're breathing you don't have to pack it in. Plus it helps when your inspiration is HOTTTTTTTTTTTT!! hehehe mustn't get too serious... Anyway that's my five cents worth...

I'm speechless. Franny2 & Palari articulated how I feel about beautiful Marty Casey. Although, I must admit, I wouldn't mind marrying him ha ha ha.....

There really is a connection for all of us and we are so diverse in age and backgrounds. Their love of music, willingness to give all that they've got for us on stage and their enthusiasm for the future is contagious. I was thinking last night that this is Tuesday night.... the night we all used to get together in front of our TV screens to get our Marty fix on RS never knowing what to expect except that Marty was going to give it everything that he had and would not disappoint. When you log on here, you never know exactly what to expect except that you know you are sharing it with others with the same enthusiasm and love for Marty/LH as you. You guys really do rock!

People think I'm nuts when I say Marty will be a bigger hit than Mick Jagger, but I absolutely believe it!
For one thing, he's already got like 20 potential #1s --some with Lovehammers--which could be immediately released as singles and would [glow=red,2,300]rocket to the top![/glow]...
There are many people (me included) who were instantly mesmerized the very first time they saw him!
Have you ever before seen or heard of such a thing?

There are many people (me included) who were instantly mesmerized the very first time they saw him! Have you ever before seen or heard of such a thing? Last Friday one of my co-workers asked me what I was listening to on my ipod. I handed it to her and she listened to a few seconds of "This Town", bobbed her head a bit and then handed it back to me. It appears that a few seconds was enough for the LH to work their magic, though. Monday morning she came to my office asking what the name of the song was and who sang it -- she'd had it in her head all weekend. I immediately directed her to itunes where she downloaded L'Strange and MOMM. She's my second convert -- my sister caught the LH bug a few weeks ago. It's amazing how many people (of so many different ages and musical tastes) instantly love the LH the first time they hear them. I'm 35; my sister is 40 (and a long-time Rod Stewart fan ) and my co-worker is a 23 year-old who's normally into dance music. It's so cool -- my sister and I have NEVER liked the same music before. (She still doesn't think Marty's hot, though.)

I am a lawyer not a poet - so parlai and franny are much better than I and describing in pretty terms what I feel. Marty and the Lovehammers have become my obession. I think, breath and eat Lovehammers. I yearn to break through what is expected of me and achieve more with LH has my soundtrack. Marty reminds me that I once lived for rock n roll. And I need too again. They are my number 1 stress relief too. Thank you Marty -- I gladly spend $$ on LH to support them!!!!!

It is truly bizarre that we all feel the same way, being different ages and from different places. Marty is like a drug....maybe a healthy Ecstasy? I go to a spin class several times a week, where they are all JD fans. It was great because my fantasy is that if the RS guys got locked in the spin room with us one day (night would be better) then I would get Marty all to myself!!! I am sooooo selfish in that particular fantasy. They can all fight over JD, and Marty and I can retire to a nice, quiet corner...... I can't for the life of me understand how any woman can not find Marty hot??? They must be blind. And to have him so beautiful inside too....just a bonus. When he sings Creep "want a perfect body and a perfect soul" I literally swoon Anyway, I agree with all the sentiments posted on this thread. I'm really happy to have found all you other "goners". I love feeling 18 again!!! I have never had such a crush as I do on Mr. Casey.

palari once again you have said it for me .... and much better than I ever could!
Recently I went to see Michael Buble with a friend (I had promised to go with her months ago). We had really good seats right up the front and I enjoyed it but I kept thinking "gawd I wish this was the Lovehammers cos I want to ROCK!!"

and furthermore...
Back when my dad was a broadcast announcer, he said the secret to his success was that he always talked to the individual during his shows, not the masses..
instead of How is everyone doing today? He'd say How are You? etc
Directly addressing the individual is what Marty does best....
now who here thinks Marty is singing only to THEM while the rest of the world melts away? (Raise your hand.)
Yeah, I thought so.

Yeah I get it too, and I would so be jealous of Marty if I had a wife who was so in "love" with him that it became an obsession. In fact, I would probably seek marriage counciling.
