and furthermore... Back when my dad was a broadcast announcer, he said the secret to his success was that he always talked to the individual during his shows, not the masses.. instead of How is everyone doing today? He'd say How are You? etc Directly addressing the individual is what Marty does best.... now who here thinks Marty is singing only to THEM while the rest of the world melts away? (Raise your hand.) Yeah, I thought so. I saw all those hand go up ;D gingerpyle, Thanks for the hand poll

Yeah I get it too, and I would so be jealous of Marty if I had a wife who was so in "love" with him that it became an obsession. In fact, I would probably seek marriage counciling. You might be a little jealous... but just think of all the benefits you could reap .... too much information? LOL Marty IS marriage counseling!!

Hi TakeMeOut, I also go to spin classes. I got one of my instructors the MOMM CD and he has put a few of the songs in his workout music, so I get to spin to the Lovehammers!
You guys said everything I feel. I'm terrible at putting my feelings into words, but I agree with all of you 10000000%,

jomarti Lucky you. My spin instructor loves JD and told me she just made a new CD with him on it. She doesn't like Marty (unbelievable, I know). I don't have the MOMM CD because it's hard to download in Canada from the pay sites and I didn't order because I've heard that they have run out of hard copies? I am hoping that they will make some more and re-release it, they should given the Lovehammers huge popularity now. Happy pedalling

It's nice to know there are so many others paddling along in the same boat.
Marty got inside me so very quickly and filled a gap that I didn't know I had, not the least of which was your comment, takemeout, about feeling like 18 again - sums it up so very well.
I LOVE how I love Marty and his music and that he was the one that brought me to this "happy place." :-)
Thank you, Marty for being you. Glad we met along the way...

You can download MOMM and L'Strange from there. Other than downloading, I think the fastest way to get the CDs in Canada is to order them from cdbaby.com. I already bought the downloads from itunes, but I also ordered the CDs from the Lovehammers site. I ordered them on November 2. I'll let you know how long it takes for them to arrive. It's ridiculous how much I'm looking forward to getting my parcel from the LH. When I got home from work today, I could feel something sort of blocking the front door when I unlocked it. I thought, "Yippee, my LH CDs (and DVD!!!! and undies and tank top) are here!" Alas, it was just the latest issue of Elle magazine. (I don't even read that damn magazine; the subscription was a Xmas gift last year.)

Thanks for the info Julianah. I don't have itunes (my MP3 is not an apple). I will order the CDs from the Lovehammers site too. I though I read somewhere that they were out of them. Let me know if you get them and I'll order too.
BTW- have learned to surf other threads (obviously) and love your pics of you and Marty. You look good together!

You girls are 1,197 of a kind...... If Marty were to read this I'd think he'd either be extremely taken by you all.....or running for cover amid his extreme dicombobulation.... I just read this entire thread.......awesome!!......or are you guys really nuts!? Either way I bet Marty would like this particular thread...... Gotta run...I can hear them over there.....their playing my song.......

I thought I spotted you drinking dittos with pom juice down in the gutter last night, so I'm pretty sure you already know that we are nuts. However, we are also completely and utterly sane. Every word written here so obviously comes straight from everyone's heart. We've laid our souls bare. I'm touched that you saw that for what it was and commented on it. It's nice to have your male perspective . . . we don't get much of that around here. This thread was created for one reason . . . with all of the goofyness that goes on in here, I wanted a place where we could just be honest, with ourselves and with each other. It has turned into everything I hoped it would be. I'm always thrilled when there is a new post in here because I know it is going to touch me in some way - and nobody has let me down yet. I'm looking forward to the continuing kinship!

Rockbeast, i noticed you here too. I admire your pluck squishing yourself in among so many ladies. I love the fact that you said "I get it too". That was awesome Rockbeast, because I haven't figured out yet how much of my response to Marty is because I'm female. Having you say that was validation for me that it goes deeper than that . . . I knew it anyway . . . but still . . . validation nonetheless. As far as the marriage thing . . . there are so many people out there worth getting to know, and why should you cut the opposite sex out of that equation just because you are married? I've found that the more love I feel in my life, the more love I am able to give my husband and children. So this just ROCKS! (oops - and just to be clear, by 'getting to know' I did NOT mean 'getting to know romantically' ;D)

My brother called and asked to me to watch Rockstar INXS and vote because he knew one of the guys on it. Said, sure I'll do it. BAM! I became a Martyphile, and couldn't miss a show! Somehow watching his progression through the show he made me remember I used to have a life, I used to listen to all different kinds of music, I used to have more fun, I used to want more... I used to... I used to ... I used to. I kinda forgot who I used to be, and I suddenly realized I missed her. Watching Marty work for success, and his willingness to work hard for it, made me realize I should take a step back and reevaluate some things in my life. I have a wonderful husband (who just grins at my Marty crush), 2 great kids and a nice life. But I want a great life and I need to step up and work for it. NO more waiting for things to happen, I'm gonna grab the golden ring and run. I never thought this epiphany would start with a phone call from my brother asking me to watch some music show and vote for Marty. PS: I'm going to see the Lovehammers at the Metro next week, don't be too jealous!

I've said this before somewhere, but it bears repeating:
Marty -- the Marvelous Storyteller -- takes you away somewhere (time stops)
and then-- brings you back safe.

uh oh, tears again . . .
I was thinking last night about some of the things I have done in my life . .. how intense those times were . . . how they still have the power to move me.
I'd like life to always be like that. Marty . . . he has it . . . he has the 'intense' I'm looking for.

I think about all the opportunities I missed because I didn't work for them and all those intense moments, like you called them. Marty makes me think of those times, when I sit back and think of all the hard work he has put into making his dreams come true and I listen to the music and I feel the love, pain and power of the lyrics in those songs, I want to cry sometimes. It has been a very long time since a musician has had the power to do that to me. Marty has it...he touches my soul as I'm sure he does so many others as well. (hugs Franny)

Its difficult at times and at times I wish there were more guys here, but after all it IS martycasey.org, and guys dont want to bruise their ego and be branded a "fag" or whatever for posting at a board where women are lusting and obsessing with a rockstar. I dont mind, because the reason I get it, is I was in love with Farrah Fawcett in the 70s, etc. I would be jealous of Marty and am jealous of him. It must be really nice to have the world as your oyster like he has. Its going to be a hell of a ride for him I think!

What a fun ride getting there with all of you. Hang on to your seats!
