Rockbeast, i noticed you here too. I admire your pluck squishing yourself in among so many ladies. I love the fact that you said "I get it too". That was awesome Rockbeast, because I haven't figured out yet how much of my response to Marty is because I'm female. Having you say that was validation for me that it goes deeper than that . . . I knew it anyway . . . but still . . . validation nonetheless. As far as the marriage thing . . . there are so many people out there worth getting to know, and why should you cut the opposite sex out of that equation just because you are married? I've found that the more love I feel in my life, the more love I am able to give my husband and children. So this just ROCKS! (oops - and just to be clear, by 'getting to know' I did NOT mean 'getting to know romantically' ;D) Thank you Franny. Its difficult at times and at times I wish there were more guys here, but after all it IS martycasey.org, and guys dont want to bruise their ego and be branded a "fag" or whatever for posting at a board where women are lusting and obsessing with a rockstar. I dont mind, because the reason I get it, is I was in love with Farrah Fawcett in the 70s, etc. I would be jealous of Marty and am jealous of him. It must be really nice to have the world as your oyster like he has. Its going to be a hell of a ride for him I think! Hey Rockbeast, I'm surprised there aren't MORE men on this site. Every guy I've played LH music for absolutely LOVES it. There are also a whole lot of women sharing their romantic fantasies here. If I were a guy, I'd be on here all the time -- taking notes. Where else can you go and find so much info on what women REALLY want?

Well....thanks to this website my hubby has decided that I cant have a "girls getaway" like I had planned to go see Marty in Lincoln City with my best girlfriend. Now he insists that he come as my chaperone and gets to reap the benefits of the evening after I get my fix. Dagnabbit.

Kudos to any guy who is brave enough to hang with the ladies......... You girls are teaching me a thing or two about the female psyche........ And it really is a blast being a Marty Guy........and not a...ummm.....y'no....un-macho man..........lol

Just an after thought re: Why Marty...Why Here? I don't want to speak for everyone...but it was his performances on RS that I think brought us all together......in that vein........the changes he made on RS should in my opinion...be reflected somewhat on any new compositions.........since that seems to be what has led to his soaring popularity..........the LH style like I said is unique and original...........with Marty incorprating his new level of performance savvy, added skills, and evolving vocal style.........there is nothing the LoveHammers cannot accomplish if they work hard...... That is the Why Here..and Why Now...for me.........

Stiletto, I remember you raised this subject in the RS INXS section and I agreed with you. It would be interesting to hear how Marty and LH have evolved in the new CD. In the Loop interview, Marty mentioned that they will be releasing their new album Jan 31. Will definitely be looking out for it.

It amazes me how quickly someone can fall into something and be swept away. The ability to just let go and enjoy the ride doesn't happen often, and to have the ability to cause others to be able to let go of their problems is truly amazing. As Palari mentioned earlier, time is of the essence. Perfect timing is the key to all of this. We all neede a reminder--a breath of fresh air in our lives. Marty brought that to us and allowed us to realize the importance of life and in working for your goals. And as goes without mentioning, more beauty has been brought into the world by our exposure to him. Must run class!

Wow Franny,
This thread is awesome...you have made something to be proud of here. Thanks for giving us all the opportunity to bare our souls...not that I need much encouragement!
Marty continues to impress me...the show reports all talk of a rockstar who gives it all to the show, the fans...the music.
His humanity is inspiring,
his willingness to be there, to be with his fans...to let them love him...to love them back...
his sincerity and grace...his mischief and mirth.
I love to read about how into it he was. How much pleasure it gave him...I love knowing that he was feeling good, turned on by it all...
It feels good to think of him charged and buzzing...riding the love...
It feels good...really good.

It's strange how one person touches so many lives... I've never been on message boards before RockStar. Marty was just too awesome - I just couldn't get enough. It seems like we've all become one big family, supporting Marty and his band the lovehammers. It's so amazing to see a relativley unknown raw talent get the chance of a lifetime... No one deserves it more than Marty and the band!

I have a busy full life too but I totally get what you're saying franny2! Jeez have I missed Marty - and I didn't even realise till I came back here today. He does add that extra 'X' factor to my life!

I'm 37. At first,I keep on wondering why at this age, I was (and still is) captivated by the magic called Marty.
Having bumped into you wonderful people on this thread made me realize that Marty is a universal thing. The "Marty Bug" will bite into any one regardless of age, gender or ethnicity.
Franny, a big thanks for starting this thread. You are awesome!
Palari, your entry (#12) sent me shivers- it made me cry..
