Hi,
I was so surprised to hear that Marty didn't know about the wrist bands. This made me wonder, has he ever contacted this board? I know he's real busy, but this board has done so much for him and his fans. Dino did the great service of his Q&A on this board.
I would love it if Marty threw us a bone. and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I was wondering the other day if Marty even has a computer?! LOL Someone bumped up the one and only post on the newer Lovehammers board and that was in June of 2004. Now, if I were him and had acquired his sudden fame, I would google my own name at least once just to see what others out 'there' were saying...for reseach or something ; ). And then of course, MC.org would show up.
But I remember in the rockstargohome.com (is that it?) interview, he said he was more of a 'live' person and didn't even own a t.v. for a long time so he didn't know how he should 'act' on a reality show. Isn't this what we all love about him? His genuine nature?
I wonder what he would think about all that we say and the degree to which we are engulfed in him. LOL Maybe I am glad he doesn't read what I say. ; )
But I would love for him to make an appearance so we could say 'thank you.'

I have wondered if he knew about the board also. In the Dino interview he said he knew nothing of the Koolaid Commune and the Sisterhood but now there is a special sub-board over on the LH site for those groups along with some others, so I assume they know about some of us (or the groups anyway).
It would be cool to get a post from Marty : )

Even if Marty wrote something "generic" that got posted to several boards - like the LH, here, and wherever, it would be so cool. But y'know, the "price of fame" and all. We'll just have to settle for photos and audio files for awhile. Now to go drool over some more photos and listen to that lovely voice ... :-D

I am a relatively new fan...not being from Chicago...had to wait to discover Lovehammers from Marty via Rockstar show....one listen to their songs and now I have all that I could get my hands on...MOMM, L'Strange and DVD. And now I "want a little more and need a little more"....to quote some Marty lyrics...I am sure you know them all too.... ;D I too think he is appreciative of this site...the ladies running this board are doing a fantastic job....  And I don't doubt for one minute that Marty is very computer savvy...(might be time challenged these days to spend much time on one for very long )...but he is one smart guy...and I am sure he knows about this site... amongst others...he he he.... I would like to think he is posting or visiting here incognito.....somehow....peek-a-boo!! Speaking of wristbands, I have mine and I &  it...and will have it on at show in Boston...when new Lovehammer bus rolls into town with INXS on 2-10.....I intend on making this a night to truly remember...my first Lovehammers show....then I will truly be able to call myself a Hammerhead! |

I've read some of your posts........thanks for contributing and the good reads! hi again stiletto ..... Nice to meet you too! I love posting but my life is busy too so I am not as prolific as some....but your post definitely caught my eye! I the teasing you do about Marty....."if he's real nice he'll give you all a Merry X-mas hello......" wow..... I did not get on-line and see your post from last night til this morning...was at gym and pushed myself a wee bit hard...was pretty wiped out when I got home...guess who was blasting into my head during workouts?? yup, Marty is a very good motivator to stay on the treadmill so I can listen to him...I have said this before but will say it again...he would make a kick-ass personal trainer...ya know, if the whole music thing doesn't work out!!  I am having fun keeping the Marty/ LH love alive ....one of the things I most respect about Marty is him taking the risk of being on Rockstar...and getting his face & voice out there...to see where it would lead...and now look where it has lead...amazing...  I am now a "born again" rock chick ....thanks to Marty! I hope you find more time to post in your busy life....but it is a busy time of year...with the holidays coming up....I hope you get whatever is on your Christmas wish list...already have mine...two row A tickets to show in Boston...  And peek-a-boo Marty ...I'll give in to the delusion (hope?) you DO read this... happy Thanksgiving to you...rock it hard at the Metro & Aragon.... make a great video for Trees especially for all those fans who can't be there, like me .....after that I hope you get to relax at Christmas with family...before you hit the road in January!! Maybe you can give us fans a Marty blog section on this and LH site...for a Christmas present....so you can share with all of us what is happening with you these days...it's on my list...but I don't always get what I ask for....so no pressure! ;D |

So I shall continue teasing you girls?? It would be my pleasure......... It does take a lot of courage do overcome stage fright.......I have found that you have to make the decision to just push the fear away and go for it.....it has served me well.....and if you perform in front of an audience enough....you do overcome that fear......If you bomb out...so what...you will still be able to look at yourself and say..."hey! - at least I took the chance where the majority would not....."........If I can do it...anybody can..... I read somewhere that most people prefer death to speaking or performing in public in front of strangers........not sure how they proved that one........ I wonder what the big MC is doing at this very second......probably writing a song or making a post......he he he |
