You know, it's really funny you guys should say that, because my mother & I had a big discussion on the idea that the Anne Rice vampire movies should be remade & that Marty would make an EXCELLENT Lestat!  (lol Finally a blonde one^^) |

i remember when Interview with a Vampire was published and everyone, including Anne Rice, talked about who should play Lestat in a film version. As I recall Bowie and Sting got mentioned -- no Tom Cruise! Marty would be a great Lestat. As one of you so eloquently put it, "Drool, Swoon Sigh..."

i remember when Interview with a Vampire was published and everyone, including Anne Rice, talked about who should play Lestat in a film version. I read that Anne Rice really wanted Julian Sands to play Lestat. Marty bears a resemblance to a younger Julian Sands. |

Another note:
For those of you who have seen the movie Relic, it was based on the book by the same name, and when I saw it, I was disappointed that my favorite character, Special Agent Aloysius Pendergast was left out of the movie.
Well, when I was rewatching the WYWH performance, I noted that with his hair styled back like that, Marty could be a dead-ringer for a slightly younger Pendergast^^

I thought it was funny to see this thread . My husband and I was just talking about Lestat last night. Just seems so strange to be talking about something that certainly isn't a normal topic for us and then to come here and see a thread about it.

That poster is actually for a new Elton John/Bernie Taupin musical that is premiering here before it goes to Broadway. (They do that sometimes to make sure it doesn’t suck.) He’d be perfect for it…but I’d rather have him with the Lovehammers.
