Wow! I finally got the chance to explore the site and I am absolutely blown away. I can't imagine all of the energy that is spent putting all of this together. You have to know how much I appreciate all of your time spent creating this page. I watched one of my performances from the Rockstar: INXS show for the first time on the martycasey.org website. What a crazy year it has been.
I want to let everyone know what has been going on the last few weeks. There is so much to tell and I will try to give a brief overview and get into more detail when I get more time to really dive in. I have been insanely busy since the finale show in late September. When I was released from the show I headed out to Hermosa Beach, California in an effort to chill out for a second and collect my head. But, management companies started calling immediately and wanted me to take meetings. I met with the best of the best and within two weeks I decided on Doc McGhee - Scott McGhee and Mcghee Entertainment. He has developed the careers of Bon Jovi, KISS, Motley Crue, Slipknot, Liz Phair, Skid Row, Hootie & the Blowfish, Chris Cagle, Bob Schneider, etc, etc. What I liked about Doc is that he understood that I was not a solo act. I demanded that the Lovehammers be a part of the experience and he agreed. Some of the other management firms wanted me solo and that didn't fly with what I wanted to do.
I almost immediately started writing songs and getting ideas together for an album. We didn't have a record deal immediately and I didn't care. I knew that something would happen for us. I wanted to put out a record that showcased the past, present and future of the band. I know it's important that everyone understand where we come from and who we are. We have alot of history as a band.
A few weeks later I got a call from Sony/Epic and found out they were going to sign the band. They let us know that they wanted to release the record in January to coincide with the tour. That left us with about 6 weeks to do 6 months of work. The band flew out to California and we started recording, setting up our tour with INXS, got an agent, did a 7 hour photo shoot, did a video, went to awards shows and a saw a bunch of incredible bands. It has been a mind bending experience.
We have not had any days off over the past few months and that is the way I like it. I like staying focused. I told my management company that I needed some time this morning to check out the site and let you now how much I appreciate all of your help getting my musical career off the ground. I feel like the luckiest man alive to have so many beautiful people supporting me in what I love to do. I will definitely visit the site as much as possible and keep in touch. I see that you know alot about me from this site. Now it's my turn to find out all about you. I want to know what makes you tick. I wanna know what your all about. We start the tour in about a month and I am psyched to get to meet you when we pass through your town. Alot of these places we will be visiting for the first time and we will need someone to show us around. See you all very soon.
Marty Casey
I will post again soon and get into more detail of the last few months and what's to come!

If this is for real, I second Isa in that I cannot explain how you have affected my life. If I ever met you in person I would probably start talking gibberish and fall over in a faint. As it is, I will be a patiently waiting fan following you from afar. But not in a stalker kind of way, no no no.
Thanks for sharing your great talent and personality with us! I look forward to much more great music from the Lovehammers! (P.S., hubby rolls his eyes at me, but my 5 & 10 year-old-girls love to watch the videos from RS:INXS and go around singing "Trees.")
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
(post modified to correct all the spelling errors made from these trembling hands. ;D)

Well it sure sounds like the real thing! Cindy . . . please confirm I'm working with the idea that this really is Marty and so I just want to say WELCOME, finally! This whole place is for you, it's full of love, and it's also become a great place for us. We've made friends, laughed, and rediscovered something in ourselves. If you hang out here enough, you will certainly find out what makes us all tick (and then some) and you will probably also find out some things about yourself that you didn't know yet. And if this isn't really Marty . . . well then it's a darn shame, ain't it people!

Marty, if it's really you...dang. You'd think after all this time I would have a coherent thought or two to pass on. I promise I will have something intelligent to say if I meet you again at the Aragon. Even if I have to whisper it to my friend and have her say it. Just kidding.
You have changed my life. I posted today that because of you I feel awake...ALIVE. And I don't usually talk like that. Thank you for being you.
ETA: I can't believe I wrote "thank you for being you"! See what I mean? I don't talk like this! I am sarcastic! Funny! You turn me to mush. I am going to have to keep rereading and editing this post.
Yes, I am editing again. Hey, I'm an editor. It's my job. I'm allowed. Anyway, I read an interview you did after Rockstar in which you said that it means a lot to you when you hear that people are taking you into their lives by listening to your music. So I want you to know just how much you are in my life. I listen to your music so often that every morning I wake up with a different Lovehammer song in my head. Today it was Call of Distress - one of my favorites. Your voice is in my head every day.
Oh, here I am again. I wanted you to know that while I was walking to work this morning in the 11 degree frigid cold all I could think about was how glad I am that I live in Chicago. And I keep looking for you. I always imagine that if I saw you, just walking around Chicago, I would be all cool and just point to my iPod and indicate that I am listening to your music. But in reality, of course, I would probably just poke someone next to me in the eye and then fall off the curb right onto my ass.

Hi Marty 1) What makes me tick right now is You Darn I forgot the rest of the questions I'm feeling faint. I know there are a lot of people who want to respond to you. So I will get my composure and please remember my avatar and look for it next time. Did I mention I'm an Older Woman Butterfly Kisses and Bare Hugs. Modified post due to insane babbling about your Fan Map. Liz probably already told you about.

Okay, I have to admit it, when I first saw this, I thought it was just some random fan like us talking about how much they liked having a place to talk about Marty, and so I skipped the bulk of the post, UNTIL someone said it was from Marty, so I did a double take, and read the whole thing.
That said, Hi Marty! I'm with Jodie here-I'm glad you came and hope visit often, time permitting. I'm really glad I got my family to watch Rockstar, and that I was able to find your band because of it. All the Lovehammers are very talented, remarkable people and wish all the best for you guys!

Yes friends. This is the real deal. And I am as blown away and as excited by it as you all are.
Marty, thank YOU so much....for being the incredible singer and person that you are to inspire all of this effort. It is completely our pleasure and the fans are so great here that it makes this one of the best cyber experiences of my life.
We really appreciate you stopping by the board to post and look forward to you returning soon.
Thank you for your kindness when Amy and I met you recently in Chicago at the Full Shilling.
Please keep doing what you are doing cause you are the best. And we will keep doing what we are doing with MartyCasey.org

Marty - Welcome to the board. Cindy & I are thrilled you're here. And welcome to YOUR website! We've had a blast creating & maintaining it. Kick back in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee or beer....you have LOTS to read! Your buddies Howard & Billy have also been visitors. In fact, we've been busy lately celebrating Howard's birthday. You are the warm, kind-hearted, gracious man I expected you to be. Thank you for the kind words when we met at the Full Shilling pre-concert (Metro) party. Meeting you was a joy. Your sister Liz and Uncle Mike are sweet as can be. Anyway, WELCOME! ~ Amy ~

That's really cool that you stopped by. I am sure you and the guys have been super busy with everything that is going on. I have to say that pretty much the only music I have listened to over the last few months has been Lovehammers. Your music makes me feel alive. One thing that has really impressed me is how much you and the guys put yourselves out there for your fans. I went to the Metro show (and was totally worth the trip from NC). I was blown away by the show. I was expecting a lot from what I had heard about Lovehammer shows and I was stunned that you guys exceeded it in every way. I am going back for the Aragon show. I will also be at the Charlotte show. So Thanks for everything.

You get back what you give, and you gave us lots of pleasure on Rockstar this summer!! I watched Rockstar hoping for the best, but fearing the worst. I was just blown away by the level of talent. Being Canadian, I first focussed on the Canadian contestents, but soon found myself staying up late and voting for a certain Chicago singer.
I am in Chicago periodically on business and made it to the 2nd Marty Party at Bourbon St. and also to the Metro show! And because of Rockstar, I've made a lot of new friends, both on the boards and in Chicago. In fact, almost 20 of us met up in Chicago to enjoy the Metro show, and I thank you and the Lovehammers for that.
Can't wait until the Chicago Theatre and Massey Hall shows! Let me know if you need a Toronto guide!! I am sure you'll be ok on your own in Chicago (although I could certainly use a guide!)
Wish I could make the Aragon, but work commitments (for once) prevent me from coming down to Chicago... so I'll have to end by saying see you in February!
ETA: I almost forgot: Major props to Amy and Cindy! You guys have done a fantastic job with this site!
