Marty, What a great show you guys put on last night! Congratulations on the birth of your niece! Thank you for re-introducing me to music. I have been a huge music fan my whole life, but these last 2-3 years have been so un-inspiring. Seeing you on RS:INXS really got me back into it. I must say that "Take Me Out" was one of the best performances I'd ever seen. So much fun and so much energy. How could anyone not be a fan! I can't wait for the new album to come out. I have already ordered it! BTW - Paint it Black was awesome last night. Thanks for that little treat.  Happy Holidays and All the Best for 2006! It will be your year to shine!  |

Hi Marty,
Not sure if you will be able to get far enough in this thread to read my post but I wanted to drop a note saying how much I enjoyed your performances on INXS RS. I recorded them all until my husband told me to get rid of them since I already saw them. I couldn't say that I liked you and wanted to keep them, could I.
Born and raised in Michigan, the instant I saw you I thought of Iggy Pop. I am a tad bit older than you and grew up listening to Iggy, Dead Boys, New York Dolls, Sex Pistols, and other punk bands.
I was actually hoping you wouldn't win INXS because I didn't want your talent to be over-powered by them.

Wonderful to hear from you at this site. We all love you here and wish you the best. I'm looking forward to seeing you and the Lovehammers at the INXS concert here in Seattle in January. :-[Hey Marty! If (when) you get back to read all of your fan's posts here, just wanted to say that I as well was first introduced to you on Rockstar:INXS. The first night you performed my teen-age daughters and I just looked at each other in mutual awe of your perfromance and said "he's the MAN!" This competition is over! And you did come out the winner! In the best way possible! I went straight to the Lovehammers website and got the CD's and DVD. ::)The rest is history!! I have the privilege of seeing the Lovehammers twice on this INXS tour (Lincoln City). Making a well deserved vaccation out of it. Can't wait!! Best of luck with everything, Merry Christmas! Like all the rest of the fans here, I'm really blown away that you've decided to post here. Not sure if you'll get to see my message but please, please, please come to Asia or Australia. You have many international fans who are just hungry for LH. And of course, many of us are more than willing to show the band around!

Hello Marty and all ya' ll Love-hammers out there. Ive played in several bands myself, and let me the first,well maybe the second, to say you guys rock. I live in Virginia, so i never heard of you until the show, but as soon as i did, i thought to my self this guy has it.
my wife and i were pulling for you, but secretly, i was hoping J.D. would win. I bought your album "Murder On My Mind" and was blown away, so I hoped you would go on and play with the Love Hammers,as I think you will have a much bigger career as an original.
Keep rocking and we will see you in Charlotte:we will be the ones holding the Marty Rocks banner !!!

Marty thank you for posting your message. You definitely have much to offer as an entertainer but it is your personality that that struck me the most. In watching you on Rock star INXS, your integrity shined through. I think that you are a good role model for young and old alike as you display your integrity as well as your hard working ethics and your ability to pursue your dreams. Please don't ever lose yourself because it is your personality that has brought you this far. Your musical abilities are electrifying but talent is not often enough. Stay true. We love you for who you are.

I don't know speak english very well, if anybody know this language, read this. Rock star INXS, terminó el viernes 23... debo decir que me hubiese gustado muchísimo que marty haya sido el ganador. Marty: sos el mejor, y prometo que cuando salga tu disco a la venta lo voy a comprar y lo voy a escuchar hasta el hartazgo. Me olvida decirles que acá el show lo dieron cuando allá, en USA, ya había terminado. Igual se vió, lo dieron por MuchMusic... no sé decirles si tuve anto éxito con en los Estados Unidos, pero yo no me perdí uno sólo de sus capítulos  Marty, cuando vengas de gira a la Argentina, voy a estar esperándote. Hey Marty,
Congratulations to you and the Lovehammers!!! I became a huge fan this past summer watching RockStar INXS. When you announced you would be going on tour with them, I was thrilled and tried to get tickets to your Chicago show. My husband and I were going to spend the weekend in Chicago and really wanted to see you live in your hometown.
Since that is not going to work out, we are really, really hoping you are planning to play in Memphis soon. We are the birthplace of rock-n-roll and know you and the guys would have an awesome time here. Even if INXS doesn't want to come, we know the Lovehammers would love it.
For Christmas, I got the RockStar DVD and noticed that you have the most performances on the DVD out of any of the contestants, including JD. Isn't that ironic and humorous? It put a smile on my face.
We are looking forward to your CD release in January and can't wait to see you live on tour. Thanks for chatting with your fans. There are millions of us and we are really looking forward to what's to come for you and the Lovehammers.

Dear Marty and all his fans, I have been a huge INXS fan for many years and was extremely excited to not only hear but get the opportunity to watch "I wanna be a Rock Star!" Marty...You blew me away. All I can really say is WOW I was glued to my T.V set here in Canada for every episode and cheered for you all the way. Now that I have seen and heard your style, voice, and charisma you have a new fan...I realize that one more person added to your fan list may not be much...but it's the dedicated ones who will cherish and anticipate nothing but great success for you! I wish you great success in anything you may do! Maybe someday you'll tour us Northern Folk and come to Canada and I'll beable to see you in Concert...I'll be the little red head with Dark blue eyes saying "Way To Go Marty!" Marty,
You do not know how America loves you. When I watched Rockstar:INXS this summer I was looking for someone who had some talent. Not only did I find someone who had a BUNCH of talent but had superstar capability. Marty, Not only did I enjoy every song from the beginning to the end but you shocked me with how humble you are. Not many stars can be so humble. You and the Lovehammers are great and I have all of your cd's. My whole family goes around singing Trees at the weirdest moments and all of my friends now like the Lovehammers too. Marty, I really appretiate (sp) for going on the show because I would never have heard you and I wouldn't know about the Lovehammers. You guys have so much talent!! You are the best!!

Marty, From the moment you stepped onto that Rockstar: INXS stage...I knew you were going to be one of the greatest singers that I'd ever heard. Your voice is simply AMAZING. ;)Words can't describe how awesome you are. Your music really touches my heart and soul...which not all muscians can do. Music isn't just notes...it's an art as well and you capture that perfectly. I'm excited and very happy that you and your band are doing great. You deserve it. Hey Marty, you're very talented, AND very gracious! What a combination!...You deserve the success that's coming your way. A friend and I will be at the February 18th concert in Washington D.C., and are incredibly psyched to see you and the Lovehammers! oh yeah, INXS too ;D Watching you develop your talent on Rock Star INXS was amazing! I LOVED your Britney Spears rendition...you're probably the only person I can think of that could take a pop song and rock it out! AMAZING! Wish it were possible to meet in person in February, I'll be in the very last row on the balcony (only seats available, and I was the 2nd in line when the box office started selling tickets, too!).
