I feel compelled to post one more time on this interview after reading the posts here and at the LH site. Was I a fan of this interview: no. Does it change my feelings on Marty and the LH: definitely not. One interview that only those of us that are the most enthusiastic fans will ever see, love it or hate it, means little in the grand scheme of things. In the end for me, the LH are about my love of their music and their on-stage performances--- and if I'm being completely honest--the hotness that is Marty Skye

I am and will stay a fan of the music - not just Marty but the whole band. That won't change. I just don't understand why, why, why it has to be "expected" that rock bands act like this? I'm not offended by sex talk just disappointed that all rock bands feel that it is ok to objectify women.

Im a 15 teen year old boy, and i was planing on listening to that interview but i missed it, and after reading all these posts its probably a good thing to. Kahlo i totaly agree whith you, the Lovehammers are starting to become a really big band, and they really need to start acting a little more family friendly, because ther's going to be a lot of teens (like me) who really look up to them, and they need to set a good example.
LOVEHAMMERS ARE STILL THE BEST!!!!!!!

But scaryconductor, use your time tonight for something more worthwhile.
Just my opinion - I just read the comments as well. I missed hearing it for myself, but I don't intend to now.

Well I just turned 18, still in high school...and like kahlo (wonderful post) I was drawn to Marty Casey on Rock Star: INXS and soon afterwards, the whole Lovehammers band. Not only did marty start up my interest in the LH, but it started my interest in rock music in GENERAL, once again. And just the same, the thing that interested me so much about Marty was the fact that on the show he didn't come off as the bad boy, ect...ect...he was CLASSY. Now I'm 18 and I definitely don't mind a little vulgar language here and there, but I listened to the interview last night and I gotta admit, it definitely disappointed me. I'm NOT surprised however. I know that they drink, have sex, do all that crazy stuff that rock stars do....I mean, that's a given lol. But I really didn't wanna know all that...DETAIL Lol. So yes, like many, I'm glad marty wasn't there and even if he was there....I'm sure he is just as crazy as the rest of them but the difference is with him, I think, is that he knows there is a TIME AND PLACE FOR EVERYTHING and he is classy. I have a feeling that if Marty was there, it would've been a bit more tame. I kind of expected it to be a fun, laid-back interview, a few sex questions here and there- yeah. I knew it would be raw, no stone unturned type thing but SHEESH! I didn't expect it to be ALL about sex.
It was pretty funny though. I had met the band at the Aragon, and I kind of figured they'd act that way. Marty, I'm not sure about. I have a feeling he's smarter than that though. And I'm pretty sure that he doesn't want his business out there like that EITHER...but who knows.
I still love the Lovehammers (Call Of Distress was the best part of the interview! LOL Mayday! Mayday!)....nothing's changed. But until proven otherwise, I respect Marty a little tiny bit more because he seems to have the most class, if nothing else, out of all of them.

Like most of you, I was extremely disappointed in the interview. What I really was is embarrased when my husband sat down to listen. He asked if that's the only kind of show they could get on. He asked if Marty was there and I couldn't tell. Once it was over, he said he was glad because he thought Marty had more class than that.
I'm not a prude, but the content was certainly over the top. It was Truth or Dare on steroids. One thing I couldn't get out of my mind is that Billy is married and I hoped his wife wasn't listening. It was kind of hard to tell who said what, but I think they all contributed their share.
Hubby doubted that Marty had a "previous" appointment. He said he probably bailed and didn't want to participate.

Anyway, I still love all of them...I just don't think that interview was the best.

Sex~drugs and rock~n~roll go hand in hand always have always will...thats the way it is.....like I said before the fearlless homepage should have been a clue what the interview was like...there was a picture of the girl right there who interviews on Lovebytes she was half naked in the picture....who conducts a real interview with people in the boxers anyway? You would never see Oprah doing that

You all might be interested in Dino's response just posted at LH.com:
--------- WOW! I just heard about this, so I thought that I should come on and say something. I personally had a great time at Fearless and everyone there was great.
I understand that some people could have been offended by the content, BUT it was a sex show guys - the show wouldn't work, and it wouldn't be fair to the fans of the show and our fans if we sat there and pretended we were virgins. Some of the stuff was even shocking to me, and Billy had me blushing, but that is what was so great about that interview - it was real. I read some of the threads on these message boards and blush just as much from what people say they want to do to Marty, etc - so I dont' get people being prudes all of a sudden. I am assuming everyone that listened to that show has had sex, and most likely similar stories in one way or another. The main thing that people have to realize is that 90% of what was talked about during the show was shit that happened when we were 16. Stupid kids experimenting and making mistakes etc. Since then we have all gone on to high school, college, and become decent human beings - at least I think we are. We are not perfect, but nobody is, and if someone doesn't like to hear about masturbating or losing their virginity then I am sorry. We are honest and we are rea, and always will be. My advice - if we are on a dirty or sex show - cover your ears!!!!!!!!!1
XOXO,
Dino 'de La Mancha --------------
Personally, the show was funny to me. I like Dino's response too. It's honest.

I actually did know what to expect from the Lovebytes show. As said earlier it was pretty obvious from the Fearless website.
Dino and the rest, I was not offended by the talk about masturbation, etc. Like you said most of us have our own stories and experiences. I have been involved in the rock industry for years through a former boyfriend who is in a hard rock/metal band.
I just am an idealist I guess - definately not a prude! I just have this silly naive hope that we can still talk about sex, have our little fun but not put down anyone whose appearance isn't what is seen in porn movies or in the magazines. I just want little girls to grow up and not feel the need to become something they aren't. Not so simple.
