Amy & Cindy -- this is the best interview I've read, and I haven't even finished it yet! We really get to know the real Marty in this one, you should be very proud! Nice Job!

Ditto to what everyone has said ... it was great to read an interview where Marty was asked very interesting questions, and where he felt comfortable enough to give us some real insight into RS, his creative life, and his personal life. He's clearly a very smart, very thoughtful man.

oh, and I love Marty in the vest. He is wearing it inside out in "our" picture. Please don't stop wearing it. I agree. I love it too.

Amy & Cindy -- this is the best interview I've read, and I haven't even finished it yet! We really get to know the real Marty in this one, you should be very proud! Nice Job! Although sometimes I just wanna smack Marty (gently, of course) and tell him to SNAP out of it!!! All the interviews, you can see that deep brooding over the band, the business, the celebrity life, INXS, RS, etc., etc.... I guess it's the Libra-ness he referred to. I doubt it, I'm a gemini and I'm the same way. I know he's enjoying the attention, but sometimes you need to embrace the bad and good, just laugh everything off and get drunk (and by the stories from the Vegas girls, he did just that! Good for him!). Marty -- LIVE IT UP!!! The fans matter the most on this ride... throw the critics under the green bus!

What a gem...thanks Cindy and Amy for the interview...and Marty, of course. Being someone who is into the whole package, I loved getting some insight into who he is as a man...what his thought process is like. He is a very intellectual man and yet is very in tune with his emotional side as well. He uses both sides of his brain...and his body. Hey Cindy! Didn't know 'we' didn't like the vest. It is different and I like it. Especially since it is either made to look inside out or is in fact inside out. Of course, I don't care what Marty is wearing as long as I can hear his music.

What a terrific job you have done Cindy & Amy. Finally an interview which asks the right questions - the questions we have wanted answered. It was great to finally hear Marty's version of the writing of 'Pretty Vegas'. Although no specific touring information is given it was interesting to read what direction Marty sees LH going for the rest of the year. Thank you Ian for the fabulous pictures, he seemed very relaxed and comfortable with all of you.... I can't wait to read Part 2!!

Of course, I don't care what Marty is wearing as long as I can hear his music. Hey UandMe... The "we" I meant was Amy and I in this case. This vest I am referring to is the one he wore in a lot of the 2004 pics.... like this one: We have some from a late 2004 concert where he is wearing the vest that are just not flattering. He has hundreds of other photos that are much better...so my advice is stay away from the vest. Especially when put with that hat.

Great job guys! I didn't think it was possible, but this interview makes me love him even more. What a sweetheart. Can't you just see him running around in his Underoos getting attention and loving it? I can! Hate to break it to you Martin, but you already HAVE the most famous ass crack that I'm aware of!!!!! Cindy and Amy that was a great interview! How cool to sit there and shot the breeze with Marty for 2 hours. I loved how Cindy called him "Dude". I don't know why that made me laugh. It sounded like fun was had by all! Also, want to jump on the vest hating band wagon. It reminds me of all the bands in the 80's, best to stay away from that look. Retro can be cool but let's not get cared away. Can't wait for part 2!

The fans matter the most on this ride... throw the critics under the green bus! I don't get the impression that Marty's darker moments are about the business, but about things that are much more internal and private. He seems very open to finding out what the critics have to say and wants to learn and grow from the bad as well as the good. I really admire his willingness to put himself out there, be fearless, and take risks. He is truly an artist ... my guess is that when he goes into his head, it's part of the creative process that ultimately results in the person and performances that we all love so much.

Oh, and I don't like the hats, either. They hide his eyes and his hair. I don't usually like vests, either. But the inside-out vest he wore at Mohegan Sun looked kinda cool ...

Amy & Cindy - You gals rock! The interview was fabulous! The VH1.com link was great. The pictures that Ian took are so nice. You really know how to make a fans day. Not only do the Lovehammers have a lot of fans but so do you as well. Marty was so sweet to take his time to be so open with all of us. Thanks again
