March 14, 2006 NEW YORK CITY!
We are back from Vegas in one piece. What a great finalee to the first leg of the tour. The Hard Rock gig was much different than I had expected. I am so glad that so many of you were able to find your way into the gig. It was cool to get to play such an intimate setting after such a large scale tour. The post-party at the HArd Rock Center bar will not be forgotten. Lots of one on one conversations. I learned alot about all of you that evening. Thanks for the crazy stories and honesty. It was really something special.
The last two nights in Vegas I got to hang-out with my brother and check out the casino's. We won some money, lost some money and even checked out an oxygen bar. On our last night, Doc took us to the Bon Jovi show and we got to meet all of them backstage and hang-out. The band invited us to a Hard Rock Suite for a post party and tour wrap party. We got to meet a ton of people and everyone treated us like gold. Jon sat me down and gave me a 20 minute talk on the music industry and how he went about making a career for himself. He told me the pitfalls to watch out for and we talked about writing music. With all the people that were crowding him for attention, I was really psyched that he took the time to talk with me. He is a genuine cool guy.
The next morning I flew to New York City and am here to write songs and take care of some business. Sony-Epic offices are located here in NYC. Vegas was a nice vacation and now it is time to get back to work. We have alot to do in the next few weeks.
I can't wait to see everyone in a few weeks when we hit the road again. All the best....

Wow - glad he's all re-engergized and ready to write and hit the road again after Vegas! Nice that he acknowledged the Hammerheads who got to go ;D.
This is really great news...! And he got some one on one time with Jon - OMG, what an opportunity - we saw Bon Jovi 1 mo. after we saw the Lovehammers and all I could think was ...well, lots of things, but what a concert to hear BOTH of them at the same venue AND what exposure. That's an excellent target audience. (I've gone down this road before, and some disagreed, but I was at both concerts and I feel pretty strongly about this after seeing both audiences.)
Anyway, it probably won't happen, but how neat that was that Marty got input from Jon - they are both very similar in disposition and talent - I can see how Marty could learn from him. Anyway - it's exciting news - thanks for posting sambren!

How exciting to hear what a great time Marty had in Vegas...He said he had some great conversations ..alot of honesty... well I was one of those conversations and it meant alot to me as well Marty. Yes that night at Center Bar will defintely never be forgotten...So much booze and so much fun had by all. What I think is so funny is this part of Marty's Diary entry, because that is exactly how i felt when Marty was spending so much time with me as we spoke for what felt like forever. Marty says "With all the people that were crowding him for attention, I was really psyched that he took the time to talk with me. He is a genuine cool guy." Marty...are you talking about Jon or yourself?

That was exactly what I thought when I first read his post, he said exactly the same thing so many of his fans have said after meeting him. lol He is such a precious soul. The best thing, he is so excited, so happy. I can hardly wait for the news of next phase. Sharon

When I met him, I told him that I looked forward to seeing him on the Grammys someday and he looked at me with surprise, like he was really surprised that we all think he should be there. Duh! You are the hottest singer on the planet!

New Marty DIARY entry today:
March 29, 2006 Paula Will Be Missed
We are all saddened by the loss of Paula earier this week. She was so good to the band over the years and helped us all immensely. She fed us, housed us wehn we had no place to sleep or got locked out, she listened to us when we wanted to talk things through, she helped set-up the Hammerhouse parties and would then hang out with us all night long and become friends with everyone at the party.
The band really appreciates all of the cards-flowers-thoughts & prayers that were sent her way over the past few weeks. Paula's face would light up when each new card or boquet arrived. She got one of her biggest smiles when we flew Mig Ayeas into Chicago to spend the afternoon with her. She was so happy to see him. She was acting like a teenager with a big crush! I want to thank Mig for taking an entire day out of his busy schedule to make Paula's dream come true.
We are scheduling dates for a spring tour as we speak. Everyone is excited about getting out on the road and playing EVERYWHERE. I think that once we get the tour rolling we are gonna stay out on the road for the rest of the year. We have so many places to hit and the only way to accomplish that is to go go non-stop.
I have written some killer new tunes and enjoyed my stay in NYC and a bit of time in Florida. Now we are off to Chicago and then LA. It's strange but I am getting so used to moving around all the time that I get freaked out when I have to sit still for a second. I like being extremely busy.
I got spring fever in my veins and can't wait to get to get on the road.
