Perfect Timing: Back in Chicago
Tomorrow I jet back to Chicago and leave my killer Lower East Side apartment behind. I had a blast in NYC. I hung-out with friends, made some new ones, wrote and recorded some tunes and saw alot of bands. I had a few meetings with Sony/Epic and discussed some plans for the spring/summer.
We have been working on the tour every-single-day and are trying to get things 100% confirmed before we make any announcements. This downtime has been great and we are now so ready to get back into action.
Dino has been a real trouper in dealing with the constant pain in his hand. I believe he is back under the knife as I write this blog trying to get his finger put back together. Being a bass player it is so very important to have full feeling throughout his fingers and hand. His doctor is one of the best and it will just take some time for him to fully heal and not be playing with his middle finger flicking everyone the bird. I actually think it is a good look for him.
We have some performances coming up in the next few weekends for Best Buy. I don't have much info at the moment but whether it be electric or acoustic it will be cool. I kinda hope one of the performances is acoustic cause I feel like playing the guitar with the band.
This is definitely my favorite time of year. I always feel like I make my best power moves around this time. Something about the weather that kicks me into gear and helps me figure out the plan for the year. Time of renewal, time for change.
Oh Yea, the car I won on the show is finally on its way to Chicago. It took Honda 6 months but I don't care cause it is finally here. Mig has been calling me up and telling me how much he loves the car. He says it talks to him. I don't know if it actually does or if he is just going crazy but I can't wait to find out.
Hope to see some of you at this weekends performance and we are definitly psyched about Memphis!
