Marty is in LA, he and Bobby are going to KISS event tomorrow. Marty is recording and writing in LA-- material for another record, although he cant' say when it will be released

Clouds debuted at #4 on Jam. marty thrilled with reaction of int'l fans wants to play around world

fan questions:
PR Will older LH albums like Ultrasound ever be released again?
MC We can't release whatever we want. If MCLH does really well, no one can tellus what to do. It's more like an 80s underground collector's item now

Andy: Was Clouds written for/about someone?
MC: Yes, all my songs are written for or about someone.

M: Single or dating someone?
MC: definitely still single

What did you sing for Christine Taylor?
She's a big fan of Trees. Ben Stiller asked me to come over for their anniversary . It was cool --we hung out and talked and I played Trees and we hung out some more. It was fun. She's a huge fan and he's a cool guy.

after break, marty says Hello in tagalog to filipino fans.

How did band get together?
MC: Bob, Bobby Kourelis, the drummer, and I got together and started jamming. Dino watched and wanted to be a part of it. Eventually we picked up Billy casue I didn't want to play guitar so much anymore. We've been together forever.

Does your closeness help?
MC: It's like we're brothers. There's no fear. (unintelligible...)

Who are your influences?
I started like everyone else with Led Z, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, David Bowie because that's what my brothers listened to. But i've listened to so much over the years that I consider everything I've ever listened to an influence.

Current icons?
(couldn't hear) Interpol... so much, even comedy. (James Kirk? unintelligible.)

How did the band feel about you going on RSINXS?
MC: They were very mad at me for going on the show. There was some bad blood when I left. They were hurt. I understood but i think I saw one step ahead than they did. Eventually I got to say 'I told you so.'

How do you feel about (filipino) Hammerheads?
MC Without your help we wouldn't exist. (Gives shout outs to Hammerheads in Phils by name.)

Fave song on your album?
MC: I am a big fan of Clouds

Are you surprised by the (internet) appreciation?
MC I had no idea that the show would affect so many people. The best part is meeting so many people --like Mia and those who run the fan clubs. (Unintelligible --street teaming/word of mouth) is most organic way to make things happen

How Do you feel about your RS competitors?
JD?
He's a good friend. He's doing really well and is finding his footing with INXS. He's doing a great job.
Mig?
Mig is the nicest guy on the planet Earth. A really really good friend and someone I will know the rest of my life
Jordis?
I think of all the people on the show, she has the most potential to be huge. I'm in her corner. I hope she does well.

Next RS?
MC: I will be showing up to guest judge or hanging out or performing. They will probably bring INXS and Mig back too

Do Reality Shows really make stars?
MC: It depends on the talent you have. Some AI winners are great, some aren't. TV gives you a shot. If you run with it you'll be successful. Otherwise your 15 minutes will be over.

kati, you will appreciate this. I forgot to mention the DJ teasing Marty for calling in a day too early for the interview. He ended up speaking with some security guard or something and had to call back again for this one. Those time zones!!!

My two year old daughter sings Trees with me and my six year old knows the cd from front to back and sings clouds extremely well............
