What was the writing on Marty's arm

I saw that Marty had writing on his fore arm at hammer jam and was wondering if it was a tattoo or just written in marker and what it said--I saw the tape he usually has on his fingers was drawn with marker.

Yeah, I also thought the "tape" was drawn on ... interesting. And the quote, if that's really what it says on his arm, is also interesting. I thought this performance was "darker" than the other shows I've been to.

Theory about marker instead of tape on Marty's fingers - Dino came out at Sound Check with his mouth taped shut and was playing with the black tape -- maybe he used all of it

I've been looking for the best thread to ask a question that has surely been answered before. I just wasn't paying attention. Why does Marty have black tape on his fingers when he performs? I know somebody out there has the answer.

Hi Feather,
Marty puts tapes on his fingers to help draw attention to his hands; he uses them very expressively during concerts, especially when he's in Mad Conductor mode. I think he talks about it in an interview he did for this site. If you go to the homepage, you should be able to find a link to it.

Marty answered in the Ask Marty board:

I was getting anxious waiting for the show to start. So, I started writing a song. That was a part of the chorus. When I put the guitar down there happened to be a marker lying there. I thought I'd better write down the hook before I forgot it.
