Whether it was from meeting him in person or meeting him through his songs, what about Marty made the biggest impression on you?

His passionate intensity, the way he put every fiber of his being into his song delivery.

I had on Rockstar Inxs and was listening to it but not really watching and then I heard Marty. His voice is amazing and when I get goose bumps hearing a song, it is really good! I had to then look to see who had that great voice and I was hooked from then on.
So for me his voice made the biggest impression, and now that I have been a fan I can see how much he seems to care about people, and he is quite handsome too!

Oh my, Ceeje, that is a very, very tough question. When I first think of seeing Marty on tv, his Magnetism, just came through the tv screen. When Marty sang, his Intensity exploded the screen. When I listened to his music, the words just touched me because the words were similar to what I have experienced. When I met Marty in person, OMG, the biggest impression on me was exactly how Powerful and Beautiful his eyes are. Also, how Marty is willing to listen and spend a few minutes of his time with a talkative, babbling fan (me). Marty is AMAZING~

I think the thing that struck me most about Marty when I first saw him (on the TV show) was the intensity and passion with which he performed the songs. Then when I saw him in real life performing just feet away from me, I felt the same intensity and passion in him, only it was magnified tenfold. I was just spell-bound. I was also quite amazed by his beauty when I saw him for real.

For me it was watching Rockstar. I cannot remember if it was I Alone or Creep but I was hooked and when He sang Everlong I was a goner too. Then when he sang Wish You Were Here I looked at my hubby and we were both chocked up. I said "I love him, I am in Love" my hubby just rolled his eyes and said yeah he is pretty cool!! I had never seen anyone that had that sexy stare into the camera like that, He sucked me into his trance....Marty ..Marty..yes Master!! You get the picture. Thinking back I think David Cassidy/Keith Partridge had that same effect on me?! Did I just age myself? Jilly

What impressed me about Marty when I watched him for the very first time on RS, was the exhilarating performance he put into each song along with that wonderful voice of his. He put his heart and soul into each one which still captivates me each time I see him perform.
As for meeting him in person, I was so impressed by his down to earth personality and took the time to talk to me (and of course, staring into those beautiful blue eyes of his).

I just remember being captivated when I first saw Marty on RS. It's so hard to explain, but he had this way of almost melting into the songs. He could make music come alive through his obvious passion, and it blew me away.
The first time I almost met Marty was at the Viper Room. There were about 50 people milling around him on the sidewalk, and one girl broke through the crowd and yelled his name, saying she had something to give him. I remember how he looked at her so intently and gave his undivided attention in the most sincere way. It was like they were the only two people there. (and when I met him in person, he made me feel the exact same way. That definitely makes for a lovely impression)

He struck me as a man on a journey. Not idly wandering through his life but walking it with purpose. He was/is 100% engaged in his process.
Week after week on Rockstar he would take on board the feedback, integrate it into his next performance and just keep raising the bar. Every week I would tune in just to see where he was going to take us.
I was drawn in by his charisma and magnetism, I was held in thrall by his compelling intensity and I was so utterly impressed by his professionalism and creativity, his dedication to task and his willingness to work.
He demonstrated just how intelligent and dynamic he was...oh yeah...real pretty, totally hot but its the depth of him, the knowing that somehow, even with everything he already shows us, that there is so much more, vastly more to him than we will ever know. He brings it to his songs, hints at it in his performances, you might catch a glimpse of it in his eyes when hes talking to you or hear it in his voice as he says your name
but thats what it is for me...his depth...I just wanna drown...

Oh there were so many things that impressed me. And they seemed to happen in rapid fire sequence. His first appearance when he was having that conversation with Suzie, he had so much diginity and class. Then his 1st performance just blew me away. It was like he totally transformed from the soft spoken guy we saw talking to Suzie into this explosion that is 'Rockstar Marty' His smile, OMG, when he smiles the room lights up, its beautiful, its genuine. Every song he did / does he gives 200% of himself every single time. And everytime he spoke he was so thoughtful and articulet. When I met him he was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. And he was so sweet. But I would have to say the thing that impressed me most about Marty, is that it is all true, he is everything he seems to be and more so much more. Sharon edited for spelling

My first RS performance was "I Alone" ... the first thing I noticed was how beautiful he was, then his intensity, and that he moved really well. But when he jumped six feet up in the air before the second chorus, that was it. I was hooked from then on ... and then he did "Don't Change" the following night, which was (as far as I'm concerned, anyway) the best performance of an INXS song all season because it was unique. I thought that if they kicked him off, I'd never watch the show again.

I think that you all see something that you see inside yourselves that you want. The thought of the man that understands your crazy mind. The song lyrics tell a story that you have been through. We are all looking for the answer and find it in the least likely places. Most would say, "Come On, that guy from the Rockstar reality show". But, when I look back I don't even know why I was there either.
What is the purpose of all of us coming together? Why is it such a strong bond? I have talked to others that have been through the identical experience but why is our bond so uniquely different? Freaks me out at times. Well, I am gonna believe in it cause every time I have doubted it, something has come back and slapped me in the face.
Why are we all so strong minded and on the same page at the same point in time? None of us have ever done this before...

Seeing Mr. Casey for the first time is something no one ever really forgets, I don't think. It's the energy. It's the life you just feel coming from him, the positive. It's everything we've all posted and more than that -- the words come clumsy, I think.
I haven't had the pleasure of a personal meeting, but I'd like to shake your hand. It's very rare to find people that are so concerned and kind to people they barely even know. To smile and listen to a face from the crowd, to make them feel special for that moment. You've done this. I've read it over and over again.
As for the bond shared...people of like minds are drawn together. Each and everyone of us here holds a spark of life that can't be extinguished, regardless of what gets thrown at us. We were drawn in by seeing that burning so brightly in you, Marty, and now...the future is limitless.
Slightly OT, but I hope the mods will forgive my tangent. If not, I've got cookies - and I swear I didn't make them, they're edible!

Like many of the answers on here, it was watching RS:INXS, I think the first time I actually noticed him (besides his voice & obvious looks) was when Suzie said something about his voice. Also, the way he carried himself & seemed to have an intelligent answer for whatever was asked of him. He never tried to suck up to INXS, which I liked too. Watching him sing Wish You Were Here was amazing, I love that song & always think of a very dear friend of mine who isn't here anymore.

He has everything and more that it takes to be special! All he has to do is sing and look in your eyes and your gone! He is the perfect rock star in my opinion! I love him more than all the special words can say!

I missed the first half of Rockstar... THEN I saw Marty sing I Alone- I was off my seat - I couldn't believe that THIS man was on some talent show.... and we have never heard of him before I was hooked!! I watched that performance at least 30 times before the next episode.... needless to say, I didn't miss another show, or another performance - AND bought the Marty Casey dvd... off ebay so I would be able to see the performances I missed - that's how I got caught up in Marty's World..... Never before.... and never again!!

None of us have ever done this before... Marty Casey Agreed Marty! Your such an insightful deep well thought writer, not only with your lyrics, but sharing parts of your life with us, here, your second family. Yes, maybe we do see something in you that we see inside ourselves that we want. The thought of a songwriter, a Rock Star, a performer as yourself with such passion, such success, and so much positive energy to give to us, why wouldn't we want some of that "good" stuff rubbed off on us! Hell Yeah, I'll take some! But I so agree with your thoughts. Why you were there, is very very simple Marty! Destiny. Success. Music. And finally having THIS place to call home, to SO many of your fans bonding and experiencing this once in a life time moment! Is very cool, ummmm cool beans, yeah that's what it is! I remembered it Ayesa! So, what about Marty, just a huge thank you for being there on that reality TV show at that exact moment, and then for being such that success in not only the music industry, but in our lives. Love Nancy

What is it about Marty that made the biggest impression on me? That is a question that I feel any answer would be inadequete, really. While on RS, he smacked me down with the way that he could take a new song, break it down and nail it each and every time with an intensity that was almost to much to watch...almost. I mean, here was this guy that put his mind to something and accomplished it. That really impressed me. At the time, I felt that I used to be able to do the same in my life but somewhere along the way, I lost the confidence in my own talents and beliefs. Smack dab, spot on, Marty. I have heard others say "Marty changed my life." Not to diminish his role in the whole process, but isn't it more likely that You All changed your lives and he was the catalyst that brought it to the forefront. That is impressive to me...that Marty could impact so many of us in a positive way.
