THIS:
"...fluorescent garment partnered with my bright white flesh is a statement of fashion here on the islands. It's a statement of "GET OUT OF MY WAY CAUSE I'M CRAZY OUT OF CONTROL"
made me laugh insanely.

Love the part of "Art of Falling" LMAO Reminded me when I took my son skydiving for his 21st birthday. First time for both of us. Pre-training landing or as Marty says "Art of Falling" ;D We had to practice on this 3 step platform!! I was up and down, up and down, step 1, 2, 3 hit the ground... roll, step 1, 2, 3 hit the ground.... roll! Must have practiced 50 times Just like Marty not wanting to end up in shreds..... I didn't want to end up splattered all over the ground!!! I crawled into the plane exhausted yet really enjoyed the long trip down!! Needless to say I VERY sore next morning. Oh so many funny memories in Marty's wonderful surfing blog Thanks Marty for a good belly laugh

;D ;D ;D I LOVE reading him... great blogger. Its like watching a movie.... i could really "see" him surfing with the yellow attire...so freaking cute and funny... glad he had fun and is still in one piece... you know as opposed to the accent bits were hilarious... particularly the note about Chicago being second to Brooklyn in terms of "non-believability" ... the Zen part was great as well. I can't believe he's blogging...i'm cherishing every word and glimpse into martyworld.

I am another big fan of his blogs - the way he writes draws us in, just like his performances do!!
I'm probably reading too much into this - but somehow, Marty wrote exactly what I need to hear right now? So he’s talking about surfing – and so much more!! “The art of falling is what it’s all about. If you can fall correctly then you actually have a chance of learning. It takes a lot of patience and you have to understand that it’s not about beating the ocean. She wins every time. It’s about knowing how to ride with it, not controlling it. That is the key.”
Oh yeah!!! Lovin' it!!!

Pre-training landing or as Marty says "Art of Falling" ;D Thanks Marty for a good belly laugh Good on ya, Trees for going skydiving with your son ! Marty is always giving us something in him we can connect with - falling down can now be added to his vast repertoire... Kinda like Buzz Lightyear - "Falling, with style.." and hanging ten at the same time ;D...can't imagine Marty falling at all - not being the amazing Spidey that he is. There is never a dull moment in Martyland. We "hang loose" for the next episode - wherever and however that may surface...cliffhangar style . His analogy of the shoe in the dryer - that's exactly how it feels to surf...and fall off the board in a mountainous (6') crushing wave. He's right - game over - she wins... at least the first time....and be sure to wear your SPF 45.

I'm so far behind as far as reading blogs is concerned. I read his blogs on MySpace and on this website. I'm really impressed. He's really good.

oh Nancy I agree. If he wrote a book, I'd read it. And that is not coming from the fangirl perspective. I enjoy reading what he writes! Very witty and comical

Check out the new blog, where he writes about Chicago. I was in Chicago over the Thanksgiving weekend, and the way Marty connects with his city makes me want to return. He really "sees" things.
