Hello everyone , and that includes Marty as well .Sorry I haven't been here in awhile . Medical issues . I hope this is not a touchy subject anymore , because I REALLY MISS MARTY"S BLOGS . That is the one place that Marty could go and NOT talk business . I enjoyed all his stories , my favorite being the road trip home ;D . My second favorite was about New Years Eve and how he wanted all of us to let him know about things we planned . The changes in our lives . That one made me take a long look at myself and where I was at in my life . I didn't message him with the results , but I made some changes because I didn't like what I saw . Thanks Marty !!!!!!! He has every right to talk about what he wants to . About nothing , if he wants to . He will spin a good yarn . Maybe , if we ask him nicely , he will tell us a Halloween Story . I miss him . Those stories were extra bright spots in my day . Let's see if we can get him back , but don't bug him about it . He will come if and when he wants to . How about it loyal ones ? Love ya Marty ...................Val

Valerie, I love his blogs, too! He has a fascinating mind, and I really enjoy reading his "stream of conciousness" type of verbal riffing that he goes into in his blogs. It gives an interesting insight into his creative processes. I hope that he will feel like writing another one someday. Whatever he wants to share with us is fine by me. It's like little pieces of his soul, and it's touching that he wants to share that with us. I hope that he realizes how many people enjoy his writing and his willingness to open up in that way--many more so than those who would criticize him for it. It seems like he's getting more willing to speak his mind and stand up for himself, and I think that's a good thing. He's a human being just like all the rest of us, with his own strengths and weaknesses. I think he's just trying to keep it real. I respect him for that. I hope he keeps on speaking his mind and calling it as he sees it. WRITE ON, Marty!

Thank you Nancy !!!! He does have an awesome mind , so many facets . I would like to be able to spend one day inside that mind .I envision a long corridor with numerous labled rooms .There are so many doors to open to take us into all those "rooms" of who he is . To spend that time within his creativness would be grand !!!!!!!! I too , am glad to see him speaking his mind and standing up for himself , instead of walking on eggshells, keeping quiet because someone may not like something he says . For those people , I will tell you very nicely ,if you don't like what he says in his blogs , then don't read them , .Marty is an extraordinary , creative individual with a big heart and even bigger soul but...... ..... as Nancy pointed out , he is only human. He is entitled to happy moments , moody moments , angry moments , and what ever other moments he has , just like the rest of us . He isn't perfect .Some people need to remember that . I hope you read this thread Marty and see that there are those of us who appreciate you . You said it Nancy.......Marty , WRITE ON !!! #poet# Totally ....Val

Hiya Val - I just noticed your thread I couldn't agree more - I was so shocked at the reaction to the last blog and wouldn't be surprised if the gift that we were all getting has now gone.

It's so nice to finally see someone else respond to this . There was nothing wrong with that last blog . Your right , a gift has been taken from us because of thoughtlessness . Thanks for being his friend and letting him know you care . HUGS..VAL

I miss the blogs too! The responses to that last one were shocking, tacky, and, in my humble and honest opinion, IMMATURE most of all. Several reminded me of the young people I deal with on a daily basis (i.e. seventh, eighth, and tenth graders in a high school who sometimes act like three-year-olds)!
A blog should be a place where a person can speak his mind freely, air his convictions if he so desires, rant and rave about something that p*ss*s him off, or just share some witty antecdote.
A blog is a blog is a blog. If you don't like it...you don't have to read it. It's like a TV show, if you don't like it change the channel. You don't have to drop the band as some suggested they were doing. I think that's ridiculous. It's like a few months ago in the TV Guide when people were complaining about a cook's low-cut blouses. If you don't like that, don't watch.
Like Dawn said, I fear we've lost the privilege of peeking into the inner-workings and thoughts of Marty's mind due to the senseless ramblings and cruel slings and arrows (so to speak to borrow from Shakespeare) slung in the comments section of the last entry.
However, I for one, if he chooses to blog again will be here in the dark waiting to get a good chuckle or some added inspiration.
Peace.

Thanks for that Cheza! I've just had a read. Nice to see him getting back to writing, hopefully there are no bad comments to this one - I can't see how there would be, but I thought that last time.

Yay! Aren't we all glad he didn't get stuck in the "Plan B" rut! He really does have a way with words.
