I actually got roped into a press screening of Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. I was NOT looking forward to it, but it ! It was soooo funny. I truly enjoy cartoons for kids with adult innuendo. Totally hilarious. Check it out when it opens, especially if you have kids -- my seven year-old loved it.

I saw Serenity over the weekend with my sister. It was great--so much better dialogue and plot-wise than the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I talked my dad into seeing it, too. It reminded my dad of the first Star Wars (A New Hope) and let's face it, Mal would have shot first. Everyone I know who saw it thought it was great--even those who were unfamiliar with Firefly. And I was happy to discover that it isn't a rehash of Firefly--it takes off where the series ended. So if you like science fiction or adventure movies, go see it.

Crash was at the bottom of my dvd's to rent. We got it and I absolutely loved that movie. I am a horror/psych thriller buff and we saw the new Amityville Horror last night. Not much scares me-BUT-this did, it was a fantastic movie if you are into that kind of thing.
Am looking forward to The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Has anyone seen The exorcism of Emily Rose or Flightplan yet? I want to go to the movies today, and their both playing, but not sure which one to see Saw Flight Plan and I really liked it. I love Jodie Foster though... she is great in the movie. Hope you enjoy it. May go see Corpse Bride tonight based on all your reviews...

Just Saw ElizabethTown with Orlando Bloom & Kirsten Dunst. I'd say it's a 2.5/3 star movie out of 4. It is a bit slow starting but once the characters are introduced it's really fun! I am not a huge Kirsten fan but she is adorable in this, she made me like her again! One other thing that bugged me is when you think the movie is over it goes into this roadtrip & that in itself could be a movie!
I am an Orli girl though so I'd enjoy it reguardless! LOL If your not an Orli girl, prob wouldn't see it!

This really has nothing to do with movies except for the fact that everyone's talking about The Corpse Bride... anyway what I'm trying to say is that one of my co-worker's said that Johnny Depp is nasty! Are you kidding me?! I love Johnny Depp A LOT. Yeah, he's on my list. Does anyone dislike him? I didn't think it was possible, but those people do exist.

Johnny Depp!!! On movie recommendations...I saw an early cut of the film Capote and it was amazing; I believe the finished version is out in (at least selected) theaters now and getting great reviews...I highly recommend it.

" Saw Two " Rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would like to see Jar-Head & Chicken-Little. I would like to see ALL of the Scarey / Horror Movies that come to Newport / Lincoln City but they don't keep them around long enough plus are quite expensive to go to them. Go to as many as I can but then wait & record them off PPV -or- other Channels.

I watched Bewitched on DVD last night, it was not bad. I liked Anchorman better and Old School way way better.
I have the Amityville Horror remake still to watch as well as Land of the Dead.

Went to see Jarhead yesterday. It's not your typical war movie (I prefer comedy and love stories). Acting was excellent and it was a well-done movie. Strong, sad, but I do think it is important to know what is going on in our young soldier's minds. I give it a thumbs up.

Just saw Prime with Uma Thurman. Nice love story, but kind of long. Had some good laughs. It would be a very good rental. She was 37 and he was 23 - kind of took the guilt off of this 44 year old eyeing the 32 year old! ;D

I've seen the 40 year old Virgin in the cinema and Wedding Crashers on DVD. Both are good comedies with enough substance to leave a moral at the end. The lead in Virgin was oh so earnest that it made the movie funny and poignant at the same time. Wedding Crashers had Owen Wilson and Vince Vaghn hamming it up as usual. I find that Owen Wilson seems to play the same type of character across movies (except for Black Hawk Down - that was him wasn't it?) and Wedding Crashers wasn't any different. However, it was a nice Saturday afternoon kind of movie.
I also caught Sky High which starred Kurt Russel and Kelly Preston who played superheroes who happen to be parents of this regular kid who didn't seem to have his superhero powers yet. It's quite a high school comedy thing but it reminded me so much of my favourite cartoon Justin League (Superfriends) that I couldn't resist!

Funny thing, I actually got tickets to see Wedding Crashers at the cinema but on our way there, a police car rammed into our car from behind so we saw a "crasher" all right just not the movie. Had to miss it to make a report and go to the workshop etc.
I'm glad that at least I got to see the movie on DVD and that the car is now as good as new!

I had just watched the DVD...Christmas with the Kranks. A good funny get in the spirit kind of movie. I loved the book Skipping Christmas, by John Grisham, on which the movie was made from.

Has anyone seen Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire yet? The cinemas here will be showing it starting Wed night and I've bought tickets to go to Thursday's show. Of course, I'll be skiving but I figure it'll be worth it! Just needed confirmation from anyone who's already seen it.

Goblet of Fire was my favorite book from the series, and I'd love to know your thoughts.
