I have:
Guess Who Diary of a Mad Black Woman Hotel Rwanda Monster-in-Law
RS:INXS and being involved on the boards put a big dent in my movie-watching time! I need to get caught up.
I'm thinking about adding a Nip/Tuck season....I've not seen that yet but heard huge raves!

I have over 100 movies in my queue!! I just watched The Jacket, and I thought that it was pretty good (but then again I have a thing for Adrien Brody; ) I mostly have television and documentaries in my queue, but I also have Finding Neverland, The Sea Inside, and Cold Mountain on the (long!) list. My sister and nephews recommendDanny Deckchair pretty highly. I am actually going to sign off to watch one of my movies now--a foreign film from Brazil.

Ok I admit it. I am rather behind the times with this Netflix stuff. Someone tell me why I should sign up for this. I usually buy a lot of DVD's myself. Or I do spur of the moment and rent them right down the street. When I decide I want to see something, I want to see it then. My attention span is fleeting, so I go get it rented that day. I don't know how I would do with waiting for stuff to arrive.
So sell me on Netflix.

The movies generally come the next day and netflix has a HUGE selection--I was in a documentary film class this summer and I needed to view some older documentaries from Europe. I go to a very large university with a top-notch library system. We also have access to materials from other libraries such as Reed. Anyway, I couldn't even get the films I needed from these large academic libraries (these were documentaries after all, not just movies for entertainment). Many, many people at the University were raving about Netflix--including the prof. of my doc. class. I looked at their selection and lo and behold, EVERY documentary that I was searching for was there. I got them the next day. Okay, the other great thing is NO LATE FEES (yeah, BB says that, but try having a movie out for two weeks!), and the movies are always in stock. Plus, you just stick them in the outgoing mail--no stamps! I get the 3 at a time unlimited, and I probably get 20 movies a month this way (on average). I pay less than $20 per month, so it is also a good deal financially. I still visit a local rental store sometimes, but I find Netflix much more convenient. You can do a trial for a week to see how you like it. I highly recommend the program, though.

I have: Guess Who Diary of a Mad Black Woman Hotel Rwanda Monster-in-Law Guess Who & Monster-in-Law were cute. Both aren't normally my taste in movies, but they were cute anyhow. I haven't seen Hotel Rwanda or Diary of a mad Black Woman. I heard Diary of a Mad Black Woman was funny, though. I'm into horrible, cheesy horror films. I'm all about it. I have yet to jump onto the Netflix bandwagon. I need to get on that.

Amy- You should get the Nip/Tuck episodes. They are really funny. My husband is HUGE into Netflix and he got the first season this summer and I watched them all. I don't always get into the those because then you feel like you have to watch them all, but these are worth it. I have no idea what is in my queue, my husband does it all and then I am excited to see what we get to watch when I open them.

I do not have Netflix, but after reading your posts, I may look into it. It seems alot easier than stopping by BB and hoping they have what Im looking for.

The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935), Gary Cooper Rope (1948), James Stewart Beau Geste (1939), Gary Cooper The General Died at Dawn (1936), Gary Cooper For Whom the Bell Tolls (1943), Gary Cooper, Ingrid Bergman
These are the top 5 in my que. Might change the order if I need a break from Gary Cooper though. I know, boring old classics....but I LOVE them!! That's why I joined Netflix. Too see every classic movie ever put on DVD. One of these days I will have seen them all. Just watched "We're No Angels" last night with Humphrey Bogart from 1955. First time I saw Bogie in color. Cute movie!! Cary Grant is my all time favorite actor: I own all 72 of his films. Also love Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper and James Stewart to name a few.........There are over 100 movies in my que at all times, 98% are probably classics, from the 30's-50's. I know, I'm hopeless........

Cary Grant is my favorite movie actor, too. The Bachelor & The Bobby Soxer was on the other night and I love watching him in comedies, but his strength besides his charm is his versatility. I didn't do Netflix, but I did Blockbuster by mail. I tend to go for quirky independent films, and mostly ones from other countries. Off the top of my head I would recommend: The Spitfire Grill
