RB, I think its awesome! YOU look great! I love long hair on guys but I think this change is a good one! Thanks sunny, my hair grows fast, so I can have it pretty long again after two years of growing. Esp. now that I have had it long for so long. I will be getting it cut again before christmas probably.

So I've been away for the weekend, and was just pokin' around the site to see what's new . . . readin' the stuff and don't always look at the name first . . . got so used to seein' your p-leaf pic i didn't even notice it was you in another thread until i clued in to something you said - realized you had a new pic - i'm sitting at an angle to the screen so the pic looks kinda dark from here . . . but HOLY SH*T is that short hair!??! Jump out of my chair and now I've got my nose right up on the screen ('cause it's getting late and things are getting a little blurry and I'm only looking at your avatar). . . got a real good look and then . . .HOLY SH*T AGAIN Rockbeast! That looks AWESOME!!! I really said that out loud, and I think I actually gave you a thumbs up - for real - thumb in the air, head nod and everything. I've gotta tell you Rockbeast - nothing ROCKS more than someone who is not afraid to grow - and you've just spent a whole year shedding your skin and finding a whole new Rockbeast underneath! I have no doubt at all that you are going to get what you're looking for in life . . . the way you are doing things . . . there is just no way you won't ! (And THAT is what Franny has to say !!!)

Thanks Cindy!! Yeah I have natural wave and curl and its thick. I love running my fingers through it. HEHEHE.. I keep trying to tuck it behind my ears and I have no hair to tuck anymore. LOL I call that 'Phantom Hair'. ;D That goes away after a while. FUNNY! Now I won't feel so dopey when I realize that I've just poked myself in between the eyes trying to push my glasses up . . . which I'm not actually wearing 'cause I've got my contacts on!

Have to agree, that the new look is awesome and very handsome. The long hair is awesome too, sort of like a lost breed, but it looks like you fit the bill for both looks....The lost breed in Rockbeast. Great choice and good luck in your new career choice. Have a question?...Did you donate the hair? They make wonderful wigs for people that are sick and are going thru chemotherapy. Just a thought. Great look once again and I'll see ya later...Nancy

I have been called poseur and sellout by hardcore headbangers on this one forum. I told them to say it to my face!! They are the posers if they think being a headbanger is about hair and clothes! LOL!

Tiny- That exactly right, but most of those guys are 18-23 years old...so...
Chitownchick- Thanks alot, i really do owe alot to Marty and the LH, I had just started working out with a personal trainer right before RS INXS started and I got into the LH band and its just great motivationial music and was very inspiring to me. MOMM is like one of the best albums ever recorded. I took a long good look at myself and watched as I slowly started losing weight (I have lost over 50 lbs since March), I then started getting into clothes of all kinds. Then I shaved off my goatee/mustache after 8 years or something, and had that clean shaven look for about a month now. The hair thing was just a long time coming. I needed something, a change. I do not regret doing it now. Because of the reaction from the public and my friends was so positive. If you were to rewind to exactly one year ago, you would have found a very different rockbeast. I had changed jobs and then got harrassed by my supervisior and went through this horrible depression where I contemplated ending my life (I do live in Seattle after all), it wouldnt have been my first time thinking this. But last winter was just about the worst I ever had. I thought I was dying and didnt know what was going on. I was having panic attacks (didnt know what this was, I thought I was having a heartattack) and vertigo/dizzy spells and I was tired all the time and just felt down on myself and I was very sad and lonely. My supervisior was fired finally and then I got laid off three weeks later (after 7 month of working there) I had been on Prozac for 4 months and it didnt seem to make me happy really. The only thing that got me better was excercising and meditation and music. I am now a totally changed person.
Sorry for rambling, but I thought I would share that with you. My personal friends are very happy that I am doing so much better. I actually became a "hermit" and was afraid to leave my house. It was really weird/scary.
And no, I dont use drugs, but I did a long time ago.
Cheers
RB

Rockbeast: Cheers to you for getting your life back in order! Sometimes when nothing seems to go right in life and you feel like your in a dark bottomless pit struggling to get out- trust me, theirs nowhere to go but up! And up and up!
You said you were having panic attacks and were afraid to leave the house, (agoraphobia). And your doctor put you on Prozac (Controversal drug). Sometimes medications only mask symptoms. They dont get to the root of the problem, but you found out through exercising meditation and music (praying helps too) this helped you to feel better about yourself physically and mentally. Continue to do this daily (along with a good healthy diet), surround yourself with people who love you and really care about you for who you are. But more importantly LOVE YOURSELF! Your selfworth should be the most important thing to you!
Also if the dark dreary days of winter seem to get you down (lack of sunlight will do this to many people) Think about getting one of those lamps that let off light similar to the suns natural rays.
I know you felt good when you donated your hair to Locks Of Love. Sometimes the smallest of things in life really do matter! A smile, a hug. Just calling someone to say hello. Voluntering. These small things in life make a person feel good on the receiving end and on the giving end and that is what life is all about.
I wish you the best and hope you continue to grow as a person, and remember you are never really alone! So many people go through what you went through.
HUGS......HUGS.......And many more HUGS!!!!

Yes you are 100 percent right Bellbottom! I started donated blood this year and next week will be my 4th pint donated so far and 12 lives saved!! AWESOME!!
I figured out what part of my problem was during all the depression, its was severe lonliness and fear of being alone for the rest of my life.
I do love myself and that is the most important and number one thing to get better.
Thanks for your kind words and on payday I am getting the winter blues light you spoke of, my doctor recommended it last year and I ignorned his advice.

hi ndluv! Thank you. I sent a thank you email to the HR lady who set up the interview and she replied with "Your most welcome". The hiring manager I interviewed with on Monday told me after we were done that they would make a decision by the weeks end. So I hope to know something soon. I keep thinking I wont get it.
