Hi Spocky I'm not sure if you have addressed this elsewhere but I have to ask...how do you keep the blue in your hair?? I tried blue earlier this year and it was pain in the A@# to keep up...I used Fudge Paintbox on my bleached out hair (streaks not whole head) and it would look good for a day or two then turn a weird blue/green faded shade...do you have a secret or do you have extensions?? I have a ferrari red streak going right now that's much easier to keep up but blue is my absolute fave... just wondering thanks!

Hey...I just dyed/streaked my hair blue...it's the cheap kind so it'll only last a day or two and it's not super bright (like yours Spocky) but I've decided that if I really dig it in the daylight and I don't get mocked mercilessly I might get it done professionally (don't trust mysef to do a more permanent job).
--Thanks for the great idea Spocky! (The blue dye on dark hair.)

I've always wanted to have just one nice little blue streak down the right side of my hair (the same color blue as my 1966 pontiac----ok---yes I'm a little strange ;D) but I'll get my butt fired. Banks don't like individuality, heck our bank just let women wear slacks to work for the first time in it's history two years ago !!! And that's no joke.....I felt like I was back in time before women's rights!

hey guys thanks for the info. I did have it done professionally once. She gave me blue "lowlights" but they only lasted a few weeks and although she is great she is expensive! I was thinking about throwing the dye on my black hair to see if I could get the "blue black" effect. The Garnier stuff worked great the first time but after that just faded too quick...I think I have tough hair it could never hold a perm (gack I am a child of the 80's eeeeeeeek) ;D and it takes forever to get it bleached light enough. Oh well I'll keep experimenting. Geez Robin I feel bad for you, pants just two years ago?!!! hello do they let you use a computer or do they make you use a chisel and stone tablet?! Makes me grateful for where I work...

ask the professional what brand you should use on your hair
certain dyes are too strong for certain types of hair so the professional should know what kind is best for you...

Of course they cut her.
